"By all means I plan to see more of these libraries, in due time I will see it all."

The woman continued to rival their stern tone with her own laced with apathy.

"Time has little value to me, for I do not age. Even in the case of the death of my body, I will live on."

The vampiress yawns, taking a sip of her dark coffee before speaking further.

"You still think those cultists were seeking to cause harm to the other locals.. Interesting. Are you unable to tell the difference between truths and lies? Perhaps some Jedi don't have such ability, a shame but not too surprising."

She takes one more deep sip of her coffee.

"Ultimately I feel like no matter how hard you or others in your order try, these lower levels will remain the way they always have. It is impossible to help everyone, even more so when you need to put more resources into fighting the Sith Order. I would jest that you might see me on the battlefield, but my time as a General has faded. Hrmm.. Maybe.."

Adeline had long since lost most interest in this mortal coil.

"Ah but alas it would seem you must go now, you had spent so long arguing with me that the people you seek to arrest are long gone... A shame that."

She chuckles a bit, smugly taking one last sip of her drink.

"To whom do I owe the displeasure?"

Adeline raises a brow while questioning the Padawan.

"Perhaps. Perhaps you will see no more." Lily stated dryly.

Breathing in deeply, she stepped forward, closer to the woman. "I do not take your word as truthful and I do not take their words. You have spouted lies already and you have threatened me. Nothing you have done is deserving of my trust." Lily glared down at the woman, she was not afraid in this moment and she was determined to demonstrate she was just as strong mentally as she was physically.

"We will succeed in time. The Sith are not united as one force and they will not stand strong against the Jedi. They shall fall, just as I will ensure that you will fall. Not just this body before me but you, as an entity, will burn till there is nothing left." Lily declared with a cold conviction, she was determined to ensure that this being would one day realise that it was not immortal, that there was death waiting for it.

Death came for them all and Lily was going to ensure it came for whoever it was before her.

Lily wanted to grind her teeth in frustration, she knew that she was purposefully being trapped here to ensure the cultists escaped for now. But that didn't mean she would not find them eventually. "This is your realm, your place. It is customary to introduce yourself first before demanding mine." She countered, reluctant to share her name.

"Perhaps I am Sith, perhaps not. Long has it been since I so proudly took the mantle, my work within illogical logics has kept me rather busy all these years... I have seen the realm of the father of evil, delved into the nether.. Even walked within the corpses of fallen gods. You'd be surprised just how small and vulnerable the place we call home really is, day in and day out I close opening after opening.. Door after door."

The woman taps at her chin, idly kicking back in her fancy gothic chair.

"I have been called a great many things, but I would assume most know my title of Darth Keres. Many who hold such titles take it as a whole new name, leaving the old one behind. My name is Adeline, Adeline Noctua."

Despite the normality of a Sith being quick to anger and perhaps join the Padawan in anger... This woman was anything but, almost inhuman in her lack of reaction or visible emotions aside from the occasional smug look or two.

"Threatened you? I do believe I did more my dear, my presence grasps at your very soul.. Your flesh marked by my hand. The only one here trying to hand out threats is yourself, it would be better to save your breath. It takes more than a pouting child to anger me, if anything I am doing you a favour by asking for your name. I don't need to ask, after all."

For Adeline, cracking open a mortal mind to read it was easy.

"Mm, no one really wins. Civilizations rise and fall, I have studied enough of the past to plainly see that the future tends to be the same. Consider it time's dogma if you would, each time you walk into the streets and knock dust out of your way... That dust used to be someone, or some part of a civilization that has long since returned to dust. It matters not if your Alliance wins, just as it matters not if the Order wins. Such is the nature of things, and the dogma of time."

She thinks on something for a moment.

"Perhaps one day you can join me in seeing these past lives, I watch as echos of people who once were. It is beautiful really, to see all those memories floating around. Each leaving their mark on the world that only a select few can see, and each providing insight into the past.. In time I will watch the echoes of Coruscant, gaze into the past and watch you walk back into that temple to report what you found."

Adeline states, not in some threatening tone or one laced with malice, it was simply the truth... If this woman was indeed not affected by time, she could watch the rise and fall of civilization after civilization.. Much like a god..

Lily let out a long sigh, she was feeling her finger twitch, the warrior in her was just wanting to charge in and whack the woman as hard as she could. It didn't matter that this entity was probably not going to feel it much, if it felt the punch at all. All it would do would likely ensure some form of harm afflicted to her or an innocent life would occur. No, she needed to remember to resist and keep herself in check.

"Well Adeline, great monologue. I could stand here and argue till I was blue in the face about how your actions will have little impact to me. That the Jedi will destroy your cult and yourself soon enough, and that isn't a threat, it is an inevitability. Death comes to everyone, even those who believe themselves immortal will face death." Lily stated with stoic tone, the neutral tone hinting at a boredom she felt.

"This conversation seems to have reached a circle and an impasse. You stating your curse on me, me declaring my vow to destroy you so you can feel the dark embrace of death." She shrugged her shoulders, clearly not wishing to continue the cycle. "I am sure that we will cross paths many times again. I will inevitable fail to kill you or be forced to retreat to fight another day. But you will not be the one to slay me. And I am only getting stronger from on out."

Looking around, she tapped her foot, "I don't suppose you can inform how to vacate this place so that I might return to the Order now?" Lily asked, a little impatient to return to those she needed to report to. "Also, since you claim not to need me to offer my name, then I will choose to withhold it. Names can be powerful things and I refuse to indulge you in that power."

It was rude but it meant not revealing her family name and risking the lives of her family. At least giving her time to warn them and ensure their safety far from her.

The woman seems to just gaze in your direction for a time, tapping a finger in synch with the ticking of the clock. Within her gaze you felt a prickling sensation in the mind, only fading after a moment.

"I look forward to teaching you then."

She then takes a stand, walking over to the black door behind them. As it opened the other side seemed to be the now vacated building the Jedi had been in previously, the eldritch woman giving a faint grin.

"I am sure we will meet again, funny how things like that work out.. Mm.. I bid you good day Ms Lily."

The grin staying as she kept a refined posture.

"I look forward to demonstrating you false." Lily countered, she refused to believe that this cursed being had anything that they could teach Lily. At least unable to teach her anything that wasn't going to cause suffering and death.

As she walked out the door, she turned and looked in horror as the other woman stating her name. Lily felt a shiver down her spine as she had tried to ensure her mental defences were solid, impenetrable but without her even knowing, this being now had her first name. Which was only a short step to finding out her family name.

There were not a high number of Echani called Lily, so the chances were in Adeline's favour.

No, she needed to move faster than she had realised initially. Exiting through the door, she rushed back to the Jedi temple, prioritising the warning of her family over any decorum or retorts. She would not let Adeline win.
