⬢ PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Vira stands 185 cm and carries herself like she knows exactly how much room she takes up. She is broad through the shoulders and deep through the chest, with thick, muscular thighs and the kind of strength that reads as solid rather than sculpted. Her dark brown hair is worn in a low, tight ponytail, regulation neat. She has a strong jaw and a level gaze, and a face that gives away little unless she decides it should. In the field, a faint red seal-line often marks her jaw and hairline where the helmet sits.

Dress uniform: Storm Grey tunic with an asymmetric front closure, black mock collar, and thin gold piping at the closure and cuffs. She wears a crown-over-star rank tab at the shoulder, a Sentinel Badge over the left breast, and a black belt with a gold Commonwealth sigil on the buckle.

Armor: A black MCW-II with crimson trim and a crimson right shoulder plate. It is fitted closely to her frame and looks lean rather than bulky. She carries her helmet under her arm off-duty, her service rifle clamped magnetically across her back plate and her sidearm on her right thigh.

⬢ PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Vira speaks plainly and expects the same. Deephaven raised her on communal tables, unamplified speech, and toasts, so she is at ease in a mess hall and uneasy in a drawing room. Her voice carries without being raised. She leads from the front and from the ranks' point of view: she knows who is tired, who is carrying too much, and who has a birthday coming. Her humor is dry and rare. She judges a commander by what they would do for the last soldier in the room.

She believes in the promise that no one is left drifting, and she treats it as a promise, not a slogan. She distrusts any plan that spends people to buy ground and calls the bill tidy. She keeps a private ledger of every soldier she has lost, and once a year she reads the names aloud, alone, the way her home city taught her. She has no phobias, but doors, seals, and hatches matter to her more than they should.

She is loyal, and she keeps an order's confidence, but she does not enjoy secrecy, and it shows.

⬢ STRENGTHS
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

  • Earned Command. She came up through the ranks, so the line follows her because she has done the job and carried the load. Her orders land fast, and her people tell her the truth.
  • Corridor Fighter. Boarding actions, flooded sublevels, and sealed decks are where she is at her best: close quarters, low light, a sealed suit, and no room to be clever.
  • Built to Endure. Her big, powerful frame and years of conditioning give her the stamina to run a full boarding action and still be steady in the last minute. Her fitted Tide-Breaker keeps that strength mobile.
  • Steady Ground. Places built to unsettle the Force-sensitive do not unsettle her, so she holds her focus where others lose theirs.

⬢ WEAKNESSES
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

  • Nothing Between Her and the Force. She has no Force sensitivity, and the Tide-Breaker offers no defense against it and only thin material resistance to a lightsaber. A trained Force-user can act on her freely, so she depends on others and on distance.
  • The Names. She counts every loss and struggles to spend lives for ground. She is slower to order a sacrifice and quicker to commit to a recovery than a situation may justify, which can cost time and position.
  • Fitted to One Frame. Her armor is built to her body and locked to her biometrics, so no spare suit fits her and it cannot be swapped in the field. A close ion or EMP burst can blind her helmet and silence her Sentinel Badge until reboot. Sustained heavy fire defeats the light shell, and the joints are deliberately soft.
  • Plain Speaker, Poor Liar. Deephaven candor does not travel well into drawing rooms or the politics of legacy families. She has no patron, and every secret she must hold draws down the trust that is her greatest asset.

⬢ HISTORY
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Deephaven (867-885 ABY). Vira was born beneath the rock of Tholon in 867 ABY, in the refuge years after the First Order's collapse. Her family were miners for generations, with one or two Shockball players among them who were minor local celebrities on the Deepwell Commons courts. She grew up at communal tables and at the yearly reading of the Hall of Names. The Commonwealth formed when she was twelve. She knew she wanted a life that wasn't the mine, and in 885 ABY she enlisted.

The Ranks (885-897 ABY). She spent her first years as junior enlisted across the Commonwealth, working the last of the scales, the remnant holdouts of a war her parents' generation had fought, and learning boarding and close-quarters work. She moved on to NCO time on border defense, and to pirates and anti-Commonwealth interests. Along the way she became known for keeping her people alive.

New Laveau. In the mid-890s, reconstruction crews raising the Imperial Estates in New Laveau's Old First Imperial District broke into a sealed sublevel. What lay behind it was a pocket of the infected, brought up from the Bayou by an unmapped culvert. Vira was Assistant Squad Leader when her squad leader fell in the flooded corridors, and she took command. Not everyone came out. The Commonwealth logged the incident as a structural survey accident. Inside the Corps it was a different story. Afterward she wrote down every name, including the ones the official record left out, and a sealed commendation followed.

COMMAC (897 ABY onward). Someone in her chain put her name forward for the Pyre Commando Academy at the Commonwealth Military Academy in Victoria. After that she was on her own. Her Sentinel Badge was issued at commissioning. She rose on results, without a patron, and by 907 ABY she held the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

Her name has begun to travel beyond the Corps.
