Never Say Never
Vizcanyo Bay, Mephout
The beachfront district of Vizcanyo Bay had a familiar warmth this time of year, its breeze carrying a hint of salt and the subtle hum of life along the coast. Ryssa settled comfortably into her chair on the sand, book and datapad in hand, and a cool drink at her side. This wasn't just any meeting—it was personal. She was here to meet Merryn Sellek, a representative of Aurora Industries (their Chief Operations Officer to be exact), who had recently become a significant part of her niece Ivalyn's life. Ryssa wanted to be sure of Merryn's intentions. After all, Ivalyn could hardly afford a public breakup splashed across the tabloids. Besides, if things grew serious, Primo Victorian and Aurora Industries might find themselves once again entangled on a personal front, just as they had been when her sister was married to the CEO of Aurora Industries.
Vizcanyo Bay, with its relaxed vibe and tropical charm, was an ideal meeting place. The neutral setting offered comfort and familiarity, allowing both women to speak openly. Life Day was just around the corner, and with 905 ABY nearing, the timing felt right. And while Ryssa's primary responsibility of outfitting the Commonwealth Navy kept her constantly on the move, she wasn't above blending business with personal matters. The meeting, after all, offered a perfect balance: she could discuss some professional topics if things grew tense or keep the focus on her family if the conversation allowed it.
With one eye on her datapad and the other on the waves, she took a sip of her drink and prepared for a candid discussion, determined to protect her niece's best interests while remaining open to the possibilities.
