Violet Blue: Now Hiring

:: HERO of KORRIBAN ::
The beat of the bass was so strong Avalon could feel it pounding in his chest as he sat on the sofa behind the one way glass wall of his loft office which overlooked the club floor. The night was young and already the club was full of patrons who knew one thing, their vices would be satisfied at the Violet Blue. Most nights Avalon simply enjoyed the view, rarely without a lady friend or two he had managed to scout from the loft itself. The Zeltron club owner was the kind to mix business with pleasure as often as he could.

Tonight was different. Avalon was hiriing, and not for the club. The club itself was a cover, a front, for the illegal activities he was doing. In short, the Violet Blue was laundering service to keep his credits clean. Too many times he had seen smugglers dealing in spice, and other questionable products, get caught with dirty credits, and the business sense he inherited from his mother ensured he would not be caught the same way. No the club which had been the love of his parents, now served as his public face while other things happened behind closed doors.

Avalon needed a pilot, he was not one himself really. He was fine with a blaster pistol, had great business sense, delivered what he promised, but couldn't fly worth a damn. This was something were he relied on others to do his work. It also kept him clean. If a pilot got caught, they knew they would be on their own, and Avalon would not bail them out. It was the penalty for not being as good as they claimed to be. Avalon had just recently lost a pilot because of this, and was not willing to risk his partner so soon to get a shipment taken care of. The client was upset, but Avalon was good at reassuring them that he always delivered.

Violet eyes scanned the scene as they were looking for someone in particular, somone who had not yet arrived it seemed. If they had, the club was so full Avalon may have missed them, and when the club was that full it was hard to tell one brunette from the next. Still, Avalon seemed to have a skill for that as well.

To pick up her life again, Lenna had to start somewhere. Standing outside the doors of the Violet Blue, she decided that yes, this was as good a place to start as any.

Outside, the ground trembled with musical rhythm and the vibrations carried to her feet, shaking her from the inside.

No concern for noise level, here. Lenna thought, and pulled her fingers through cascading brown tresses that were her crown of glory. Maybe she wasn't as vain as some women, but she did pride herself on some things.

Lenna reached into her pocket, feeling conscious enough to check her appearance one last time in the compact mirror she brought along. With a snap, she shut it again and slipped the small device into the empty back pocket of her spacers pants. Some feminine accessories actually had a measure of usefulness.

After all, she wanted to make a good impression, and was pleased that she even remembered to polish and shine her normally grungy looking combat boots for the meeting. She breathed a deep breath of city air, and unballed her fists. Lenna wasn't a diplomat, but she'd picked up a few tricks from her parents growing up, and she'd do her best to impress herself on Avalon with the few social tools afforded her.

Of course, there was hesitation on her part to have even accepted to meet Avalon in the first place. The idea was plucked straight from Ordon, who directed her to Avalon just after a shouting match between them occurred. She knew that if she had wanted to, Lenna could have taken more than just a tip. In fact, he had offered her more, but the offer was rejected before it was given time to become a vision. Didn't he see? She could never be that person again. It wasn't as if he needed her to be that for him, either. He was successful and had carved his own paths in life. He could easily move on without her, and let everything in their past remain dead as it was. Perhaps they were two sides of the same coin in that sense. However, could he handle what was left? There was a dark and deep chasm in her heart that sometimes seemed endless, it's presence shadowing her every day. Lenna needed him in her life, and though she refused to acknowledge the truth, she knew he couldn't be part of it.

All of these thoughts went round and round in her head. They were toxic together, foolish. [member="Ordon Trozky"] made her vulnerable, imprisoned her. Lenna made him irrational and didn't want to be entrapped by her passions again.

"I won't." she promised under her breath, closing her eyes in a final attempt to clear her mind.

Moments later, and hardly ready, Lenna pressed the door control button and the door slid silently into it's recess.

A myriad of pinks and blues filled the club and gobbled her up, unable to keep from being sucked in by the powerful current of intoxicated dancers. Lenna road the wave, finally emerging on the other side of the dance floor. There was a reason why she stayed away from Zeltros. Even the scented air made her go a little weak in the knees. She inhaled a sharp breath, feeling her cheeks flush and her ears grow hot. A couple of slender fingers slipped down the neck of her shirt, pulling the collar away from her burning flesh, nearly panting.

Where was this [member="Avalon Gray"]? Lenna needed to find him, before her fear of becoming like the rest of the mindlessly entranced guests became a reality.

Watching the entrance, Avalon caught site of a brunette which had matched the holo image in the file on his coffee table. There was a desk around behind one of the doors in his office, but most of his business was conducted on the couch of his lounge type environment. Adjusting his shirt tails, Avalon moved toward the door and descended the stairs. Of course he took the long way around to the woman he was meeting, ensuring he stopped to greet some of his more important regulars along the way. Certain patrons took in the full onslaught of his pheromones as he teased them with visions of pleasure which would likely never be had, unless the Zeltron felt like indulging.

"[member="Lenna Praxon"]," he said waking up behind her. "I am glad to see you made it. How about we discuss some business over a drink, unless you're here to enjoy yourself a bit, let your hair down?"

Yes, Avalon was always trying to get the people who walked into his club to enjoy themselves, even if had to be the one to get them to that point. This one, he would personally ensure she enjoyed her first visit to the Violet Blue.

"Come with me," he said leading her to the bar. "Whatever you want is on the house tonight. Place an order and we shall head to my office where the only pheromones you have to worry about are mine."
