Was he a fool, perhaps he was. The way things had played out in his mind there wasn't anything else that could've been clearer then what he had just done. He only knew of two things, that his family was dead. The only family that he had as there were no other living relatives. Korvus knew that the Jedi were the cause of this, they took his family from him and now he was left in this world alone. The young boy had charged forward, despite not knowing any advance fighting techniques or advance training with the lightsaber blade.

The blue blade emitted from the hilt and Korvus began a series of erratic attacks towards one of the Jedi present. A solitary tear had been shed as he didn't know what else to do. The Jedi was deflecting his attacks with ease and from that moment it didn't take long for the Jedi to get a very quick shot against him. The blade cut through his right calf, he wouldn't lose a limb, but he did collapse on it and stumbled to the ground, his lightsaber leaving his hand as he tried to catch himself.

Korvus let out a grunt of pain as he turned to his saber which was several feet away from the ground knockdown. The young boy looked up as the Jedi he attacked was advancing on him, unsure of what the Jedi was going to do. Korvus scrambled as quickly as he could for his lightsaber blade and reached out to call it to him with the force. The blade began to go to him, however quickly diverted courses and went to the outstretched hand of the Jedi.

The two Jedi quickly grabbed him picked him up as one retrieved a set of cuffs and before long he had his hands placed behind him and was in those cuffs and was placed on the ground on his butt right next to his parents as they waited for the return of the other Jedi that had arrived with them.

He had exhausted all of his options, well his only option that was available. He glanced off to the distance away from the temple in the opposite direction and it was a straight path towards some trees, if he waited for the right moment he could perhaps get away. Korvus glanced towards them, the dead...his parents as he stifled a cry almost. He cleared his throat as another tear came from his eye and rolled down his cheek.

"Energy..." Korvus whispered to himself as he closed his eyes for a brief moment, before they opened again.

"The force will set me free." The young boy spoke just above a whisper as he stared at his parents bodies, and then glanced back towards the Jedi, as they both stood a few paces away, trading glances in between each other as to keep a good eye on him. He watched their movements like a hawk, waiting for the opportune moment to make his move.

Kyrel was on the hunt only after reading through more of his Mother's journal. Jedi Shadow Miran Kyrel's last assignments before the Temple on Coruscant fell to the One Sith was investigating rumors of Lillian and Alastor Starfire's turn to the dark side as suspected by the council. Kyrel grew interested in the two and were listed as neither dead or missing in the memory crystal he also discovered a list of the surviving Jedi who had escaped the Sith's attack and was out in the Galaxy for Kyrel to hunt down and destroy. With the start of the Great Galactic War and the death of a Jedi Master at Kyrel's hands, he became more determined to find and seek out the First Order's enemies.

"A fool you were Mother... It seemed these Jedi were sensing a darkness rising in the Galaxy for what they had sensed they were right." He said as he sat in the cockpit of his ship the Reaper. Traveling to a world where there was a rumored enclave of Jedi, some of his sources had reported of the two Jedi his Mother was investigating were alive after so many years. After finding it he had landed on the outskirts of what looked to be smoke rising much to his surprise. "Could the two of them have done this?" He said as he moved in to land the craft. Not long after he moved down the landing ramp covered in his armor, his face hidden by a mask and a hood giving him an image that was similar to that of death itself.

He walked closer in the darkness upon seeing the destroyed temple and seeing two robed Jedi in combat with what looked to be a boy, and not far behind him were two corpses to which he did not know, but the three Jedi dueling each other was odd, the anger in the boy though was raw power with only little training and so much potential to tap into that Kyrel mused about another recruitment into the Knights of Ren. He then waited long enough before the boy was captured and then made his move, hiding his signature in the Force before he had emerged like a shadow and struck against the two Jedi. The one to the left was choking with Kyrel only raising his armored fists and then with the second Jedi who had turned around, and in a look of shock ignited his own blade. Kyrel with his free hand ignited his own, and with a few slashes and parries dispatches the Jedi Knight with ease. His eyes then locked on the boy saying in the dark metallic tone of his mask. "Who are you boy?"

Timing was all that mattered here and it seemed fate had plans for the young boy just as he was about to start running and use the force to draw a particular item to his hands behind his back, a hooded figured jumped in. Korvus's eyes widened a bit with surprise as he wasn't aware there was anyone else here and this individual dispatched the Jedi with ease. The young boy looked over to his parents bodies and then turned around so his back was facing them and called his mothers lightsaber to his hand behind his back as it looked like it could work. His plan was to ignite the blade and cut the cuffs freeing himself up so he could make his escape.

However this was supposed to happen in the forest as he very much well couldn't have done it here or the Jedi would've just stopped him in his tracks. Just before Korvus was going to ignite the blade to cut the cuffs off when he heard the almost mechanized voice of the individuals speak to him and Korvus just faced the shadow while cuffed, with lightsaber in hand.

"I'm Korvus Starfire, who are you?" Korvus voiced back his voice trembling slightly with a hint of fear, but more so anger and frustration over what had transpired here today.

And his inability to do more than he felt he could've.

Kyrel stared at the burning temple ahead and almost lashed out in anger, his armored gloved fists were clenched in anger as he stared out into the smoke on the horizon. A Jedi Temple and somehow he did not sense it... Still even so most of the Jedi were dead, what came next was his eyes locked on the boy and wondered if this was perhaps only a Padawan. The boy looked no older than 10 years old and still he could feel frustration, anger, fear. Very strong and full of potential if harnassed just right could be used as a sharp and deadly tool.

When he had heard the name of Korvus Starfire, he then gazed at the two bodies that were behind him, and then came to the conclusion that the two corpses were his targets. Perhaps this mission was all for nothing, but then as he gazed back at the boy again realizing that perhaps the mission was not a waste after all. The boy asked for who he was but not without a hint of fear within his tone to which Kyrel couldn't help but grin at. He then resumed his gaze upon him and then began to speak once more. "I am an emissary of the First Order. I was sent to murder your parents as they were surviving Jedi. It seems you are no Jedi... Can you walk boy?" He said as he stood crossing his arms as if he was waiting for the boy to move.

Korvus listened attentively to what the man said, he wasn't sure what it was. The young boy did not take him for a liar though. Korvus wasn't sure what his parents were, they weren't Jedi though. Perhaps they were in charade, but there was times they would speak of something about their dreams and destiny.

"My parents were many things, but they are no Jedi..." Korvus whispered almost on a trembling breath as the adrenaline was wearing off, and the coolness began to cut to the bone. Korvus closed behind him as his hand that were bound, he held them out just a bit so that he could ignite the blade and cut the bind down the middle.

Korvus glanced down towards his parents as he knelt down and placed the blade on his fathers chest and stood back up.

"Yes, I can walk. Are you going to kill me?" Korvus asked softly as he glanced towards the burning enclave in the distance.

There were many things....

Korvus began to wonder if he really knew who his parents were at all.
