- Well Rounded - The Vigil-Class is a well rounded cruiser, designed to fight off various types of ships without having a major weakness or significant counter. This makes the ship highly flexible, being able to adapt to a variety of scenarios.
- Size - The Vigil's size is one of its major advantages, coming up to 775 meters in length this allows the Vigil to stand up to most smaller star destroyers and decimate and ships smaller than itself.
- Weak point - One major drawback of the ship is the bridge. While it doesn't stick out like other Imperial styled cruisers it is still mounted on a tower like structure, making it an obvious target for any enemy ships.
- Ion Engines - Ion engines are the main method of movement for the ship and thus the Vigil inherits the weaknesses of Ion engines. The ion exhaust produced by the engines made the sip easily detectable to most scanners.
The Vigil-Class is a well rounded combat cruiser, nothing more nothing less. As the galaxy wide arms race builds up between the major powers Orkins Industries recognised the fact that many caught in between had no way of defending themselves from the major factions of the galaxy. The Vigil acts as the solution. The cruiser is designed to be a well rounded and adaptable ship in a day and age where increasingly specialised ships are being created. The Vigil is made to cater the needs of governments and factions who can't afford to buy or produce hundreds of specialised craft, instead allowing them to hold their own in a ship big enough to stand up to a star destroyer but small enough to maintain a fleet.
