View Over Phemiss

Phemiss in midday was an excellent sight. While not as sprawling a metropolis as Coruscant, or surrounded by plains and falls like Theed, many of the larger buildings provided an excellent view over the Tsilor Sea, a beautiful expanse of blue for miles and miles to the south. The capital itself stretched a good way's out in either direction along the coastline, but remained limited to only a few miles out. Still, it was one of Errreembuhr's favorite views on the planet, almost as enjoyable as the bustling shipyards in the canyon below EODD's factory.

Today, however, rather than the facility where his products were made, the Wookiee waited in the lobby of a tall building used for offices by the native Nosaurians, several of which were local food and medical distributors that had helped him greatly in his efforts to bring aid to planets ravaged by war. New Plympto itself had once been rendered inhospitable to life, centuries ago leveled by the Vong. Like Alderaan, however, they used their abilities to restore some of the once great things about the Nosaurian homeworld, a much easier task than rebuilding an entire planet from scratch.

An office upstairs had been prepared for the meeting between him and a member of nobility from somewhere in the Outer Rim. Somewhere called Tythe. He'd never been there, despite the century or so of his life he spent working as a freighter crewman, but as long as their money was good he would be more than happy to work out some sort of negotiation, which it seemed was what this noblewoman desired.

Instructions had been given for her to meet Talus at the spaceport, the battle droid seemingly growing past his original programming to operate as not only a bodyguard but a social droid as well. It was quite interesting for the Wookiee, seeing his creation grow and develop, and as he waited for his guest, he wondered how the droid would grow further in the future.

Chikako's personal Quill Class Chuttle shuttle hand landed not to long ago, the Echani having greatly liked the view of the planet from about, the wide open fields giving her many idea on how the resort Tythe back to the Naboo looking place it once was. Two members of the Tytheish Royal Fusiliers escorting the princess out of said ship and into the of Talus, being greeted by a few battle droids, to be honest quite a normal occurrence to her, many plants under the CIS using such to greet people on occasion.

"Welcome Chikako Liona, Mr [member="Errreembuhr"] is awaiting you in the lobby, please follow us to meet with him", the droid said rather monotone voice, "as you wish, please lead the way". With the droid turning around the princess followed suit with a happy smile across her face, the small guard detachment keeping a poise and stern feel about them as they two marched with the ruler of Tythe toward the complex nearby.

Her reasons for being her where simple, with refugees from the Alliance flooding into CIS space Tythe had gained a larger population from it's meager 1000, and with a huge size increase meant more homes, which meant more military personal, which also meant a naval force. No doubt pirates and other would follow refugees looking for shelter, or people of questionable back ground posing as refugees trying to enter CIS space. Though being a core world mean the threat was small, and the neighboring planet of Nelvaan having a sizable navy Chikako pushed on making a small Royal Navy to protect Tythe's sky's.

A message came before Talus and their guest arrived at the structure, giving Errreembuhr warning to prepare himself before they stepped through the doors. Their arrival was met by the Wookiee and several other droids waiting at attention in the lobby, Errreembuhr's one organic eye watching [member="Chikako Liona"] with a mixture of wariness and intrigue, as he hadn't expected her to be so young. Of course, that said, it wasn't a rare thing for nobility in some parts of the galaxy to inherit their titles at ages considered to be low for some.

"Greetings, Princess," the Wookiee said through his translation device, adjusting a dial on the chest rig for better clarity. "I hope your travel here wasn't any trouble. Was Talus as welcoming as I've tried programming him to be?"

Chikako was not entirely sure what [member="Errreembuhr"] looked like, her little knowledge of wookies along with lack of seeing many cyborgs combining into a 'I have no idea what to expect' vibe. What she found was, actually something not to over the top, quite stereotypical, especially with cyborgs, the classing one eye missing types, but she knew looks did not make anything. Upon being greeted Chikako gave her customary curtsy to the Wookie CEO, just because she was a noble did not mean she was any better then him, she had expedience quite a lot in her amnesia days and could respect those that had to struggle through life.

"It is a pleasure to meet you as well as be here at EODD, I must say it is quite a lively place here" she replied giving a quicl look around the complex. "Oh and yes the trip here was just fine, I rather link the natural feel of the planet, much like Naboo, and hopefully what will become of Tythe in the near future".

"Yes, there isn't too much in the way of plains like Naboo here, but it's quite a beautiful planet." Errreembuhr's gaze moved to her guards, taking stock of what she brought with her. It was more of a reflex than anything, something he'd come to practice in the past, as his life often depended on it. "What would you prefer that I refer to you as? Your Majesty? Your Grace? I've met nobility and royalty before, the terms seem to be different each time."

While he bore her no disrespect, he preferred to speak as she wanted him to speak of her. Queen Organa was a friendly example, but by no means representative of all nobility in the galaxy. Least of all those from Outer Rim worlds.

She gave one last look out the nearest window onto the open plain, even the littlest bit of green could be appreciated by her. "True, but even so seeing nature able to have some room of freedom is a good thing, and much more lush then the world I rule at the moment" she replied in a cheerful ton, her guards ever stoic, something contrasting to their rather elegant looks. "Oh my title, just princess will do fine, I am still new to the whole royalty thing, though Liona works two, even if my guards get a little annoyed about it". Each having a great deal of respect for Chiakko, and seeing others not show the same getting a little under their collar, even if they did not show it.

"But anyhow, we are here to talk business no? would not want to waste too much of your time now would I, it would be safe to assume that both of use are eager to get this meeting underway"?

[member="Errreembuhr"]

"Of course, Princess," the Wookiee replied, glad that she was just as eager to get this hammered out as he was. "If you'll follow me, there is a conference room upstairs prepared."

He led the way to a lift, one thankfully large enough for the pair of them and two or three of her respective entourage. The others would need to take the second lift up, though they would wait for them there.

"Have you spent much time this far into the Core?"

[member="Chikako Liona"]

"Of course, please lead the way", the young Echani replied, following [member="Errreembuhr"] up to the conference room, stepping into the life along with the CEO. "Spent much time around the core, well if you count waking up in a ship crash on Naboo, running around with smugglers for a year or two before joining up with the CIS then yes". "I kind of wished to get a better look at it in some sort of trip or vacation, but you have to take what you can get, though now days I have other matters to attend to, only diplomatic events really get me out of the CID space".

"What about you? Travel much"? She asked, unsure of how much wookies traveled around the galaxy, especially one that owned a rather large company.

"I actually did quite a bit of travelling over the last century or so," he replied as the lift made its way up. "I was a crewman on a freighter for awhile making pick-ups and deliveries all over the place. Core, the Inner Rim, even some parts of the Outer Rim. There's a lot I've seen, and a lot more I hope to see on my duties with the company. If you'd like something of a vacation time, the Hajial Chase is a beautiful stretch of land not far from here. If you like woodlands, of course. It reminds me a lot of my homeworld, but without the dangers of the Shadowlands, so it's perfect for touring."

[member="Chikako Liona"]

"Oh well seems like you had quite the interesting past, I know quite a bit about riding with smugglers and freight captains", her own time being short but understanding what it was like to some extent. "Though may I ask how you came to own your current company? such seems like a rather large change". She did know of his apparent past among the FWC, but beyond that his rise to power in the corporate world was quite silent to her, others probably knew but she herself did not. "Though we do not have to talk, I am more then ready to talk business with you right away".

[member="Errreembuhr"]

"When you live for almost two hundred years you tend to accumulate credits," he replied with a grin as the lift stopped on their floor, leading the way out to the conference room which was just across the hall. "Even before the accident that left me like this, I wasn't one for hedonism or buying things. So I saved up. When my crew died in the explosion aside from one none of them had family to leave it to, so I inherited their shares. All together I had enough to get myself started."

The doors were already opened, and he took his seat. "But as you say, we're here for business, so we can get to it as you'd like. I understand you're here looking for ship weapons? These are things my company does, and does well, I might add. From large capital emplacements to smaller things like laser cannons and mass driver point defenses."

[member="Chikako Liona"]

Chikako continued to nod at the Wookies story, becoming a little sombre at the tragic events that caused him to be where he was, "well my condolences for your loss, though at least you have been able to forge a new path here". Even if said new path was filled with it's own hardships and massive set backs. Reaching the offices she sat across from the company CEO, her guards taking position at the doors like any regular guard would, staying in the stoic position.

"Yes yes, ship weaponry that your company makes, specially your EIX.1 Ion Cannon, ELC-8 Octuple Laser Cannon Turret and the ET-2H Heavy Dual Turbolaser". "All for a series of ship that the principality want to make to serve in the CIS navy in foreign combat situations, as the borders expand there is always need for more forces and Tythe will have to be a provider at some point". "Though very much able to make our own craft in times I would be opting for a more modern navy in a decent time frame, the only problem being a decent supply of weapons for said ships".

[member="Errreembuhr"]

The Wookiee nodded along, his face never giving away the thoughts that riled below. In his head he began making calculations of how they could account for this, how it could benefit his company greatly. Of course there was one snag.

"The ion cannons and heavy dual turbolasers we can certainly do. I'll have my people begin preparing production for transport to your shipyards. As for the octuple turrets, that's a bit more problematic." He glanced over to Talus, giving the droid a nod, a signal for him to begin displaying a hologram of the product she'd asked for. "The ELC-8 is a product that we do not sell on the open market, however I can offer you some alternative options."

Talus' holographic display changed now to the ELX.1, along with a display of stats such as rate of fire and whatnot. "The ELX.1 laser cannon is affordable, especially when bought in bulk, and comes standard with links to pair them together. With your own turret positions they can easily be restructured into similar emplacements." The hologram then changed over to the RPD Mk.1. "And here we have the RPD Mk.1 gatling turret. It's a rapid-fire mass driver point defense system, and fully automated, so it doesn't require a gunner to man it at all times. Are either of these to your liking?"

[member="Chikako Liona"]

Chikako tilted her head to the side, letting out a small 'hum' as the details where explained to her, despite being young having a surprisingly good understanding of this sort of thing. She was happy to know the main armaments she wanted could be arranged though not having access to the octuplets ones where unfortunate, she was not sure what their directed market was but perhaps it was for a precise government, regardless it was not her business at the moment.

Looking through the different alternate models most where decent, but lacked the quad like battery structure she wanted for the planned ships, but that did not mean she could not propose another idea to the Wookie buiness man. "Those are both nice, the RPD seems more like what I may use, though I was wondering, your EKR-30r, hypothetically, would a quad mount with those as the 4 weapons be a viable option of sort"? "Putting them together in a battery or single housing to take of the role of a quad point defense weapon"?

She was not certain if such would be possible, but it was worth investigating all the different options available to her.

[member="Errreembuhr"]

He ponders the question for a moment, having not considered it himself outside of the gunships he designed them for use on. "It... would be possible, I'd think. You would need to put two pairs on either side of an emplacement, which would change the angles for the ammunition feeding systems, but it could be done rather easily on a ship designed for such an emplacement. Would you prefer those, then?"

[member="Chikako Liona"]

A small picture came to mind at the Wookies suggestion about the shape, "so like two on each side one top one bottom with the magazine catches facing towards the gunner"? "If that is the case and seeing as how good they are at ripping through armor it seems like a good deal to me, and even with the slower fire rate the addition of 4 should mean such a device can spit out a decent amount of slugs every few seconds". "Now, I believe that such is all of what I need at this current time, this has been quite the nice little escapade wouldn't you say".

[member="Errreembuhr"]

"Yes, precisely," he replied, nodding along. "If you adjust the firing pattern to have them fire one at a time then the emplacement will put out a fire rate as a whole that negates the slower rate of the individual weapons. A few of those set up on a single ship will give fighters something to think twice about before making an attack run. They'd be perfect defenses for anything even as small as a light freighter, but of course the smaller the ship the more limited you are in ammunition. Still, definitely a great way to utilize them."

Errreembuhr waved his hand at one of his droids standing by, one of whom activated a datapad and brought it over to [member="Chikako Liona"] to look over. "A pretty standard agreement, since this is more or less a standard deal between my company and your government. I'll give you as much time as you need to look it over, and once you're finished, a signature at the bottom will seal the deal between us."

Chikako clapped her hands together in excited meant with the new developed strategy in place. with this she would be able to produce the basic corvettes that Tythe needed. "Perfect, just what I needed, glad that you where able to an arraignment on that, and I look forward to getting the other equipment needed too, who know I may very well be back here for some more goods of yours". Maybe for the larger ship she had in mind, but for now this was more then enough to make ends meet, not to convince the leader of their neighboring planet to help with the construction. "Oh and if there is any sort of specific way or mean for the weapons to be mounted you are always welcome to stop by the Royal Armory on Tythe to give a small hand, I have a feeling the rail guns may be a bit tricky to install".

Taking the contract she read it over a few times, everything seeming to be in order, her finger making a neat and quick signature on it, herself then passing it back to the droid, standing up in the process. "Well Mr [member="Errreembuhr"] it has been a pleasure doing business with you, I hope that your business thrives and grows over time, I have a feeling that we will become close freinds".

"A pleasure indeed, Princess," the Wookiee replied as he made his mark on the document before standing as well. "I'm glad you were able to find what you needed here, and if there's ever anything added to my catalogue you'd like to add to your ships in the future, you know how to reach me." He extended a hand for her to shake, as soft of a smile as the cyborg could muster on his face.
