Intent: To create an armor set for [member="Vexen"]
Development Thread:
Manufacturer: Micah
Model: Vexen's Armor
Affiliation: Micah Talith | Vexen
Modularity: Yes
Production: Unique
Material: Alchemized and Force Imbued Taozin Nodule leather and Terentatek leather liner, Defel mimicker with components sprayed with Plastiray
Classification: Leather armor
Weight: 3kg
Quality: Class 9

Special Features:
  • Terentatek this?! I think not! - The alchemized armor liner has a reduced efficacy to being manipulated, interfered with, or destroyed by the Force due to the Force negating effects of the alchemized Terentatek leather. It serves as the underlayer of the armor in it of itself, featuring a clippable high neck leather protective strip against those pesky force chokes.
  • Hide and Seek! - The alchemized Taozin Nodule leather has been imbued with the Force using Jal Shey techniques to protect the wearer from being discerned through the Force. It does this by imprinting the wearer's presence in the Force across a specific area, making it very difficult for another Force user to discern their exact location. The Taozin nodules leather naturally interferes with the sense abilities, making the wearer appear invisible in the Force. They blurred and clouded Force senses so their wearers could not be detected easily by a Force-sensitive. With this, Vexen could maintain the same Force-disguise that a living taozin could, that in conjunction to the Force Scattering imbuement, created a seamless force disguise while wearing it.
  • Defel-Mimicker: Used to mimic the appearance of defels as vague shadows, so that the armor don't stand out and isn't disrupted easily. Electrical components have been sprayed with Plastiray.
  • Help line!: In light of the above quality, Micah brushed the armor with Alchemized bloodtrail ink. This was designed as a way for Micah to find Vex if they were ever separated and she was ever in trouble.
Weaknesses
  • Tererentak Leather makes it difficult to heal the body while wearing it. Armor must removed off the wounded area in order to be healed with the Force.

  • As it is supernaturally tough, Terentatek leather will not break due to blunt or concussive forces; however, the wearer will be subject to blunt force trauma, such as the breaking of bones. Blasters and Slugthrowers may pierce the material and the leather parts afford only light resistance to lightsabers, such as glancing blows.
Micah comes from a family legacy that has a vast wealth of information and knowledge in sith alchemy. His grandfather Moridin, his father, his uncle Dissero, and the women of the Shamalain line are all powerful in their own rights when it comes to artifacts and their creation. Fully intent and on his way to becoming a Master Alchemist and Jal Shey imbuing specialist, Micah would continue to utilize and consult the immense library of information from his father and the aid of his Uncle Dissero who himself is a Master Alchemist.

This gives him an incredible wealth of knowledge from both his Great Uncle Dissero, the journals of his grandfather (the ones his father and uncle would even let him review and highly supervised) and the knowledge given to him by his father, Soliael Devin Talith that he had acquired his entire lifetime. Micah's spent much of his time studying with his Uncle Dissero, his father, and during the times he would visit the Jedi with his mother, studied lightside alchemy classes and Jal Shey Force imbuing techniques, growing in his skill for the past several years with many alchemical and Force imbued creations under his belt.

It was after Vexen's experience in several incursions that Micah decided it was time to make his best friend her own set of armor. This being a major project, was going to take some time, but he was no greenhorn to the time and attention a quality piece of armor would take to come out how he wanted.

The first week was spent on curing, stretching, tanning, sizing and cutting the Terentatek leather liner to Vexen's exact specifications. The alchemization with drops of the Defel's blood came after, ensuring that the pliant leather alchemy amplifies the terentatek innate Force-resistant properties. The alchemization and the Force imbuement served to enhance, strengthen, and ensure that the leather would retain its properties as it did in life. As it is supernaturally tough, Terentatek leather liner will not break due to blunt or concussive forces; however, the wearer will be subject to blunt force trauma, such as the breaking of bones. Blasters and Slugthrowers may pierce the material where it is Terentatek leather only, and the leather parts afford only light resistance to lightsabers, such as glancing blows.

As certified by AEL's Alchemist Certification Services with a Dorn rating ( Certified as fully competent with the mastercraft level of biological and/or metallurgical alchemy.) the alchemization process managed to ensure that Vexen’s internal organs are off-limits to Force influence, retains moderate resistance to Force lightning, and bone-breaking telekinetic impacts are significantly lessened. And more importantly, the button up marine style neck is high enough to keep Force chokes from being effective. However, this also makes using the Force to heal over the armor difficult.

The next step required the Imbuing, which took another week. Much like the Warden Cloaks and his Helm, he did the same here with the armor, imbuing the it to mimic the Force ability known as Force Scattering. The armor has been permanently imbued by the Force using Jal Shey techniques to protect the wearer from being discerned through the Force. It does this by imprint his presence in the Force across a specific area, making it very difficult for another Force user to discern the wearer’s exact location by imprinting the wearer’s presence across a specific area.

This also included the alchemization process of the Taozin leather nodules for the outer leather. The Taozin nodules leather of a Taozin, naturally interferes with the sense abilities, making the wearer appear invisible in the Force. A Taozin naturally does this this by blurring and clouding the Force senses so that they would not be detected easily by a Force-sensitive. Wielders of taozin nodules could maintain the same Force-disguise that a living taozin could, disappearing nearly completely into the mystic energy force. Much like a Taozin Amulet, Micah would replicate this ability, alchemizing the leather to strengthen and lock in the effect as the primary measure under the first layer of protection of the Force scattering imbuement.

To complete it, Micah added a small Defel Mimicker. It was used to mimic the appearance of defels as vague shadows, so that the armor won't stand out and isn't disrupted easily by EMP/ Ion weapons as per thee benefits of Plastiray - Substance. All in all, it was an armor suit designed to maintain a relatively light weight as much as possible with flexibility for reasonable dexterity.

Those familiar with taozin and how it works are able to work through it better than those who are not. This is how Force Trackers are still able to find individuals who wear the amulets or are able to sense weaponry with the same ability. It is blurry, but still there. Same applies to powerful empaths as seen with Zeltrons, who are still able to sense a Taozin regardless of the force scrambling.

Much like in the following novels:
