SPECIAL FEATURES
- Vesper is a shoto lightsaber, meaning its red blade is shorter and in this case also means that the hilt is slightly smaller than its forged twin--Aurora.
- Aurora was forged hundreds of years after Vesper, meaning the metals and casing used shall be different in quality and 'style' perhaps. It does not affect its performance.
- Cutting power; The dragite lens amplifies the strength of the lightsaber beam, making it stronger than usual--in this case it should likely apply to, as mentioned, cutting power.
- Sigil crystal; For Aurora, the Sigil crystal allows the blade to be extra potent and dealing more damage than usual.
- Synthetic crystal; Vesper holds a synthetic crystal, which too produces a stronger blade than usual, at a cost--see weaknesses.
- Lightsaber variant; Due to the curved-hilt, the lightsabers can be used a lot more precisely and flexibly--allowing easier usage of the forms II and potentially form V.
- Vesper; Due to the shoto design of Vesper, it is easier to utilise Jar'Kai whilst wielding this lightsaber.
WEAKNESSES
- No lightsaber resistant hilt; While the hilts aren't large, there is a probable chance that they can be destroyed upon a firm blow of another lightsaber. Due to the fact that marble, aurodium and electrum aren't lightsaber-resistant materials/metals.
- Synthetic crystal; Due to the properties of a synthetic crystal, it is known to be more unstable than a regular crystal (e.g. in this case, it can short out after long durations, also because the lightsaber is older.) Furthermore, it is less manoeuvrable than a regular lightsaber crystal.
- Blaster-bolt deflection; Sadly, a curved-hilt lightsaber is more meant for close-quarters combat and lacks any strengths when it comes down to blaster-bolt deflection. So unless the wielder is particularly skilled at this aspect, the lightsaber shan't provide one an edge in such forms of combat.
DESCRIPTION
During her exile, Isobel encountered many a battle, and her former lightsabers grew unstable and eventually broke down--leaving her defenceless. In all her desperation, she stumbled across the tomb of a long-forgotten Sith Lord. . . where she fortunately managed to find the Sith's lightsaber--Vesper. It was unstable, and shorter than a typical blade, not to mention the red crystal that made her feel almost nauseous using it. A conduit of Bogan should not be in the hands of a warrior of Ashla. . . Still, desperate times called for desperate measures.
In time, she sought to create a second lightsaber, in a similar design, but with a different crystal. . . One for the light--Aurora. Bel obtained a Sigil crystal in her various travels throughout the Outer Rim and beyond, as well as reused most of the components that could be salvaged from the Twin Roses. Until she finally combined all of the materials and crafted a weapon in the same style as Vesper ; it was less refined, less intricate than its counterpart, but served its purpose with even more strength.
