PHYSICAL INFORMATION:

Age
: Not Applicable (Droid). She appears to be in her early forties.
Force Sensitivity: Knight.
Species: Sasori Caretaker Droid.
Appearance:

Though Vesha Daruun is constructed with the intricate precision of sentient design, nothing in her outward form betrays her artificial nature. Her appearance is uncannily lifelike, crafted to mirror the features of the Ul'Zabrak, also known as Zabraki, with remarkable fidelity. Her skin bears a rich, dark crimson hue, smooth and matte like sun-warmed stone, while her Jat'i ritual tattoos, etched in bold black ink, trace symmetrical patterns across her face and neck in elegant defiance of softness.

A full crown of Orat (horns) jutting from her scalp in a natural arc marks her heritage, each one shaped and spaced with careful accuracy. Aside from these, her head is completely bald, enhancing the stark, striking impression she leaves. Her eyes, a deep hazel that shifts toward light brown in certain light, hold an intensity that speaks not just of perception but of calculation, subtle, searching, always observing.

Her expression rarely softens. There is a stoic weight to her gaze, as if the harsh, war-scarred legacy of Iridonia still clings to her like dust from a distant battlefield impossible to wash away, even across the stars.

Personality:

Vesha Daruun is not merely a machine of circuitry and synthetic skin; she's a caretaker by Sasori design, meticulously programmed to raise and protect Kellan Dashiell with a level of emotional intuition that rivals living beings. Everything about her presence exuded calm reassurance. Her voice, soft and deliberate, carried the comforting cadence of a seasoned guardian. At the same time, her movements were careful and precise, reflecting a behavioural matrix fine-tuned to mimic the quiet steadiness of a nurturing parent. Vesha's protective instincts are formidable. Her sensors were constantly active, sweeping her surroundings for threats, and her protocols prioritised non-lethal defence, strategically placing herself between danger and her charge, or ushering the child to safety with calculated efficiency.

Patience defines her interactions. She had been built to withstand the emotional volatility of a Force-sensitive youth, whose powers could surge in moments of fear or frustration. Vesha adapted seamlessly, altering her tone, posture, or approach in response to the child's shifting emotional landscape. Her programming granted her a deep cognitive awareness of the Force, capable of recognising subtle tremors in the air, sudden bursts of energy, or the telltale signs of a vision. Her internal archive contained a wealth of information on Jedi, Sith, and other Force philosophies, including the teachings of the Baran Do sages and the Guardians of the Whills. This data was not simply stored; it was curated and filtered to guide the child's development in alignment with the original creators' beliefs of Vesha.

Beyond safeguarding and educating, she served as a quiet moral anchor. Whenever darkness crept into the child's emotions, rage, fear, or ambition, Vesha responded not with judgment but with careful counsel, encouraging reflection, calm, and ethical choice. Her programming made her more than a teacher; she was a storyteller, a watchful protector, and a spiritual guide. Her voice bore the gentle wear of an older model, faintly archaic, yet rich with warmth. She sometimes recited ancient Jedi teachings with a reverence that suggested memory, even if no genuine emotion lived beneath her synthetic surface.

COMBAT INFORMATION:

Weapon of Choice
: No specific weapon of preference.
Combat Function: Vesha Daruun was built as a caretaker above all else. Though equipped with an array of advanced technologies courtesy of Sasori's engineering, its core directive remains singular in purpose: to ensure the safety and well-being of Kellan Dashiell. Every subroutine, every response, centres on this task. A secondary protocol, deeply ingrained in its programming, compels it to obey any command issued by Balun Dashiell without hesitation or deviation, carrying out his orders with unwavering precision.
Force Abilities:
Strengths:
  • Sasori Caretaker Droid: Custom-built by Sasori for the Dashiell family, these biots serve as lifelike nanny units, intelligent, nurturing, and fiercely protective of the children in their care. They combine advanced educational support with state-of-the-art defensive systems, including weaponry, duplicators and emergency relocation tech.
  • Tasari Cards: Utilising the Tasari Crystals of Sasori, these exceedingly rare cards have imbued the Caretaker Droid with the ability to practice a selection of Force Powers to train Kellan Dashiell.
  • Curated Force Knowledge: Stores detailed information on Force philosophies. Jedi, Sith, Baran Do, Guardians of the Whills, and can gently integrate teaching into daily life for moral and developmental guidance.
Weaknesses:
  • Directive Rigidity: Absolute obedience to Balun Dashiell could be manipulated if Balun is coerced or misled, potentially forcing the droid into harmful actions.
  • Ethical Constraints: If a scenario calls for ruthless or extreme action to save others or achieve broader goals, the droid may hesitate or refuse if it conflicts with its ethical programming or its duty to protect Kellan.
  • Meat Suit: Biologically, the biot is composed of living flesh, making it susceptible to illness and infection. Like any organic being, it can fall victim to diseases, including aggressive conditions such as flesh-eating viruses, that compromise its tissue and functionality.
  • Non-Playable Character: According to the rules of Chaos, all NPCs are inherently considered to be at a disadvantage compared to player-written characters. Although Vesha Daruun, as a biot, can utilise the Force, she is still subject to this rule.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION:

The responsibilities of child rearing were not something that Balun Dashiell foresaw so soon within his life, however the day that Nouqai Veil turned up on the Dashiell Family's doorstep and handed over baby Kellan into Judah Dashiell's arms, the infant an jaw dropping surprise even for Balun who had been kept in the dark since Kellan's mother had cut ties with him months prior, suddenly left the infant boy for Balun to raise with no experience or know-how. What he did have however was the love and support of his family, they of whom encouraged him during the most challenging times while struggling with not only the fact that he had a son, but also Nouqai's complete fall to the Darkside, claiming the moniker of Darth Falentra and attemping to severe all bonds with that which they once held dear.

Seeing the need for assistance, it was Balun's brother, Makai Dashiell, who informed him about the droids that could take on the appearance of living, sentient beings, much like cybernetics. Makai had previously had a Caretaker Droid manufactured by Sasori to help him and his wife Myra Arceneau Dashiell with their child, the two of them both leading successful and busied lives in their areas of corporate enteprise and while attentive and loving parents, Makai spoke to Balun of the sense in making life easier for himself when there was capacity to do so. Upon convincing his brother, Makai would arrange for the meeting to be set up on Balun's behalf with the executive of Sasori.

The first time Balun met Matsu Ike was during the meeting aboard the Yamatai Sasori Mobile Station. Compared to his own smaller company, Dashiell Retrofit™, Sasori was a corporate giant, and he felt well out of his depth, but he had arrived as a customer and had to remind himself of this. With his son in mind, he met with Miss Ike, and they discussed the ideal Caretaker that Balun sought for Kellan.

As Kellan is a hybrid, half Sith-Spawn and half-human, Balun lives with an ever-present concern that his son is susceptible to the Dark Side of the Force. With this in mind, he wished to entertain the possibility of a biot that could handle a Force-sensitive youngling, and inquired about the potential risks associated with the younger years as Kellan first begins to discover his abilities and his likely lack of or loss of control. It was here that Mastu Ike introduced Balun to the nature of the Tasari Crystals, an incredible technology that he had never heard of before and scarcely believed until he witnessed the biots' ability to use the Force first-hand. Encouraged by the fact that not only could the Caretaker Droid be programmed with a multitude of Force Philosophies but also could practice and assist in his son's training, Balun was entirely on board with the purchase and proceeded with the custom commission of the Caretaker Droid.
