GENERAL INFORMATION
• Planet Name: Vero
• Demonym: Veronian
• Region: Outer Rim
• System Name: Vero System
• System Features: Vero has two moons, Avrik and Ellur. Avrik is the larger of the two moons, and has a very slow period of rotation around Vero. As a result of being exposed to sunlight over extreme periods of time, Avrik has developed an out-of-control greenhouse effect and is highly inhospitable to life. Ellur is a desolate moon with only a few important materials, and is only colonised as an effort for mining operations. Vero is also surrounded by a set of rings formed of comets and asteroids, these are mined regularly, providing Vero with a decent income of materials.
• Coordinates: N-51
• Major Imports: Luxury Items, Weapons, Shield Generators
• Major Exports: Food, Stims, Bacta, Kolto
GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION
• Gravity: Standard Gravity
• Climate: Temperate and Jungle biomes cover most of Vero. Jungle areas of the planet are controlled environments usually protected with large, specialized shield generators, to defend colonists from dangerous fauna.
• Primary Terrain: Grassland, Oceans, Forests, Jungles.
• Major Locations:
Abruo: The capital city of Vero, Abruo is a sprawling urban center surrounded by domed shield generators and airlocks. The shields which surround Abruo are specially designed to keep the hostile wildlife of Vero away from the civilian populace. In particular, the shield generators which surround Abruo and all cities on Vero are designed to stun the Veronian Skullborers, which are then captured or killed by patrolling droids.
• Ollix Medlabs: The corporation which put Vero on the map, Ollix Medlabs were originally responsible for settling Vero, and it is through their research and study of the planet's fauna and particularly the skullborers, that the planet has developed into the scientific powerhouse that it is. The headquarters of Ollix Medlabs are deep within the Veronian jungles, and are similarly protected by large shield generators.
• Veronian Space Elevator: Considering the function of Vero's large shielded cities and the way the shields themselves function, many ships cannot land on the surface of the world easily. As a result, the planet has a number of space elevators in each major city, connected to orbital stations which serve as major spaceports.
• Krth City: The only city on the surface of Vero not directly protected by shield generators, Krth city was established by Selkath migrants who travelled to the world after Kolto was discovered underneath its vast oceans. Krth city sits in the middle of Vero's largest ocean, and is primarily inhabited by Selkath. Krth city exists as one of the only areas a visitor's ship can safely land, though those who land in Krth are subject to the Selkath's rules and laws.

POPULATION
• Native Species: Fexian Skullborers
• Immigrated Species: Human, Selkath, Zabrak
• Population: Moderately Populated
• Demographics:
Human: 55%
• Selkath 30%
• Zabrak: 10%
• Other: 5%

[*]Primary Languages: Basic, Selkatha
[*]Culture: The basis of Vero's culture is largely scientific, with a population that has primarily been formed out of the workers of Ollix Medlabs, and the Selkath migrants. The world has predominantly taken a stand for neutrality and avoided galactic politics, with its government primarily focused on securing strong trade and profits based on the products it exports. Very little conflict has occurred on Vero, and due to the harsh nature of the planet and the dangerous wildlife, there is a predominantly closely-knit culture in the shield cities.
GOVERNMENT & ECONOMY
• Government: Scientific Oligarchy
• Affiliation: Most cities fall under the control of Ollix Medlabs, though Krth City remains independent.
• Wealth: High - Vero's provision of cheap kolto and advanced biomedical discoveries and products allow it to maintain a constant and significant flow of wealth.
• Stability: Medium - The only tensions that really have developed on Vero have been some vague competition between Ollix Medlabs and Krth City. Though there are no open hostilities, there have been some reported attempts of corporate espionage, and Ollix attempts to steal access to Krth Kolto.
• Freedom & Oppression: Veronians value ideals of liberty and free speech, and they are not restricted by any means in making social movements. However, considering most Veronians work directly or in some capacity are tied to Ollix Medlabs, generally efforts that reflect poorly on the Medlabs themselves can result in legal action, explusion, or repurposing of people's property. Veronians are also not allowed to leave Shield Cities without express permission of high-ranking Ollix personnel, and those outside without permission are never permitted within the cities again.
MILITARY & TECHNOLOGY
• Military: Ollix Medlabs primarily utilizes a security and military force of droids, as they are less likely to be damaged or destroyed by much of Vero's dangerous wildlife. There is an official organic law enforcement agency which serves across all of the major shield cities, but aside from the droid armies, no major military force exists on Vero.
• Technology: Vero is a particularly advanced world in terms of technology. With access to the newest and best scientific developments particularly surrounding bio-science. Comparatively, Vero is relatively equally advanced to most other planets, but its bio-tech is generally considered ahead of the curve, and even revolutionary in some cases.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Vero was discovered long ago, but mostly written off as a poor option for colonisation considering it was a reasonable distance from other nearby population centers, and did not exist on or near any major hyperspace lanes. Eventually, the colonization rights to the planet were granted to Jorin Ollix, the CEO of Ollix Medlabs, who sent men to the world to establish viable locations for labs to be set up. However, only two of the men sent by Jorin returned to the man, informing him of the incredibly dangerous wildlife on the world, which forced their retreat.

Though he languished that he had wasted money on the world, the team had managed to capture one of the skullborers from the world, allowing Jorin and his teams to study the creature in depth. Through studying it, they were able to learn that it was susceptible to blasters set to stun, and struggled to combat droids, who could generally scan for the creatures even when they were naturally camouflaged.

Returning to Vero with droid escorts, Ollix Medlabs was eventually able to set up a lab, and continued to study the skullborers and other wildlife on Vero, rapidly developing new stims and medical products, bringing Ollix up as an incredibly powerful company in the galactic sphere. Before long, Ollix discovered Vero's oceans were rich with Kolto, attracting Selkath colonists who, with Ollix' permission, established Krth city to cultivate and protect the majority of the world's Kolto.

Though it remains an economic and scientific powerhouse, providing medical products and assistance to all governments across the galaxy, Vero has primarily relied upon major hyperspace and trade routes which pass through the Galactic Alliance, especially the Hydian Way. With recent events surrounding the Hydian Way and its blockading, the world has fallen into a degree of crisis as it now struggles in trade.
