Both revolvers were manufactured on the philosophy of complete and absolute killing. The combination of its damage output and its long-range effectiveness make them very powerful and dangerous. With both revolvers falling under the classification of Slugthrower, Ajalurk-Chaidth Kryze wanted his revolvers to be able to punch through armor and metals easily, which in fact, they can; capable of penetrating most armor classes and most metals and alloys.
Cortosis was chosen for its ability to resist lightsaber strikes, as well as short-out, or disrupt, the plasma energy blades. Dallorian Alloy, chosen for its high resistant to heat and making it less susceptible to melting or overheating when consistently firing, for the two barrels. And Impervium, the core of the revolver's skeleton, was chosen for its strength and durability.
