- + A Good Start: The Verd Adiik'gam provides a moderate sum of protection against the most common battlefield threats; such as blasters and concussive forces. It can even withstand glancing blows from lightsabers.
- - Basic Protection is Basic: The Verd Adiik'gam is, by no stretch of the imagination, an invincible set of armor. In order to craft such a lightweight suit, a trade-off was made during the alchemization process. The metal was not manipulated to the point of total lightsaber resistance or blaster imperviousness; for complete resistance would result in a weight ill-fitting a child.
The Verd Adiik'gam was an attempt by a doting father to create a suit of armor for his child.
Typically speaking, arms and armor created by Isley Verd embody the full set of characteristics possible through Sith Alchemy. They reek of the Dark Side. They laugh in the face of lightsabers. They are nigh indestructible. However, when attempting to create something for a nine year old child to utilize, certain changes to the creation process must be made. First and foremost, Isley omitted the "darker" parts of the creation rituals; thereby ensuring that the resulting armor would be free of any pronounced, Dark Side taint. However, the removal of darkness from the equation limited that which was possible for the armor considerably.
For instance, the Verd Adiik'gam is not impervious to lightsabers, but can instead withstand glancing blows. This is due to the fact that the molecular adjustments required for full resistance would result in a taint; in addition of grievous weight being added to the armor. Furthermore, the suit cannot completely reflect lasers or blaster bolts. However, it can withstand a moderate sum of punishment from these threats in addition to low-tier concussive forces. For the most part, the Verd Adiik'gam was not devised with frontline combat in mind, for Isley has no intention of throwing his child in front of a hail of blaster fire. Instead, this armor is poised to protect Adela from the threats she may face during her training.
