Production: Mass
Material: Durasteel, Transparisteel
Description: Redeveloped as a large frigate primarily intended as a support carrier, the Venerable class carrier frigate is another design the Imperial Remnant intends as a raiding vessel, though it was once the Crinan's largest warship class prior to their conquest. Due to its size and status as a carrier they also make excellent combat ready support ships for larger attack cruisers. During the original ships days as the powerhouses of the Crinan navy alongside smaller, older, and weaker Noble class crinan frigates the Venerable carriers acted as flagships, but have since become defunct as Imperial designs created new, stronger, and larger carriers and cruisers from Crina's yards.

Nonetheless, sporting impressive hanger space and the ability to not only enter atmosphere, but land on the ground as well to deposit ground forces, the Venerable class received attention from the Imperial Remnant after they took control of Crina, unlike the Noble class frigate of which many were scrapped for parts. Now many of the Venerable class carriers have been remodeled to match modern technology, but still maintain the benefits that brought them to Imperial attention.

With their biggest benefit being their ability to land, the Imperials can now utilize the Venerable class to deploy ground forces directly to a planet much like the old Acclamator Cruisers of the Clone Wars, though with fewer forces deployed per ship. Still, with the fighter compliment as a support and a more efficient way to deliver infantry and a few support vehicles to a planet's surface the Venerable class finds itself being the only true original Crinan design seeing a shot at the galactic field as an invasion craft and raiding/support frigate.

Well thought out submission again, with good strengths and weaknesses!

So the speed and the manoeuvrability look well balanced.

Firepower and carrier capacity also balanced.

I would, however, say that with space being a premium already, that 2 Tractor beams would be suitable for a ship of this size/class.
