Although the idea that serves as the basis for the development of this system is in no means a new one, Valnora Enterprise sought to cut expenditures by creating their own instead of making purchases off the Galactic Marketplace. Further, this allows for the assembly process of any of a number of the ships they manufacture to be expedited.

The VE/VT-010 Prometheus Hyperdrive is, in the end, an advanced an upgraded hyperdrive system, tailored to ensure increase speed and precision at the cost of effective distance traveled. This induces a number of smaller "micro-jumps" in order to effectively traverse the greater galaxy so that the hyperdrive system itself does not overheat and cause a meltdown and potential catastrophic damage to the vessel it has been adapted to fit to. The system is intended to be installed by default on most Valnora Enterprise ships and vehicles, and among all custom orders.
