The VCSM-II “Sentinel Badge” is the spiritual successor to the First Order’s Vital Communications Security Monitor. Worn on the left breast, the badge bears the signature Commonwealth hexagon, rendered in matte steel blue with a blood-gold etched laurel wreath at the center. Nestled in the wreath lies a six-pointed nautical star, which glows according to use:

• Red – distress / emergency ping

When in use, the badge allows an officer/crew member to:
