Vandemar FAQ
So first of all, the name Vandemar is in use for over ten years now. It is the home of my very first dedicated attempt to create a background for my character 'Bram Sigismund' and is based on a typo. In that roleplay a map had been created, beautiful medieval fantasy and I chose as my home province Valdemar. Now that is a silly name in german, or rather very grandpa or dog affiliated. And at some point it was mistyped and resulted in 'Vandemar'.
Here on Chaos Vandemar is the faction I am creating with my character, Aurelian Sigismund, a former Zakuulan Exarch (original Eternal Empire). The faction's inspiration is primarily drawn from Roman/Elder Scrolls Empire, Angels (especially from Diablo) and of course the original Eternal Empire and Knights of Zakuul.
Focusing on a military-technocratic mindset based on order and justice, it also combines the religious zeal of pure-atheists against the Force and Force users. Believing that the Galaxy would be a better place without the Force, that Force users are responsible for millennia of war and destruction, that those very few impose their will onto the many.

The plan for Vandemar is to offer a shiny (gold is our main armor colour and we love arts), fanatical party which is on a very own crusade, not to devour, not to convince of the Light or the Dark side, but to liberate (and expand, dominate). Liberating the masses from the control of the Force sensitives but also from stagnation and to bring a future of science, progress and enlightenmend. With fire and sword of course.
Pretty everything. I will try to seek a good working relationship with the evil Mawites and we are fighting alongside the orderly New Imperial Order and even the zealous Ashlan Crusade. It is a militaristic society with a lot of room for politics and industrials, art and gladiators. Furthermore there is home-planets three surfaces where we can have a lot of fun going into literal hell.
1. Vandemarian Legions - Gene-engineered super soldiers in golden armor which are fitted with inhibitor chips and have a very strong comradery and iron discipline. Also an own small fleet of planetary invasion ships, good for brawling and boarding.
2. Exarchies - The planet of Vandemar and its holdings are controlled by Exarchs. Sometimes members of the Legions, sometimes ordinary people, they are selected by the High Imperator for their traits. You can create your own exarchy as you like with own troops and theme, industrial/economic focus.
3. Auxillary - Controlled by the Exarchies, the Auxillary are the non-augmented soldiers of Vandemar, average soldiers divided into the standing army, general conscription and reserves. All varieties of troops can be found here. Airborne, special operations, mechanised, marines ...
4. Battlefleet - The Battlefleet Vandemar is the navy of Vandemar, focused on base strike, fabian doctrines. Speed and striking power are the two core tenets.
6. Hypaspists - The Hypaspists are the home-front guard, the urban cohorts and protectors of Vandemar. They are non-augmented soldiers controlled by the Legions and present in every Exarchy roughly rivaling the strength of the local Auxillaries. Means of control and law enforcement and doctrine they are acting like a combination of army and inquistion.
7. Agema Aegis - The Agema Aegis are the bodyguards of the High Imperator and guardians of High Vandemar. They are selected from the most devoted and most skilled veterans of the Legions, receiving improved arms and armor and are absolutely loyal.
Forgelords: Forgelords are the legions armorers and responsible for all technology and the command of armored units and the maintenance of all warmachines.
Praetors: Drillmasters and masters of indoctrination they are fighters nontheless and inspire the troops in battle, being beacons with their crimson red armor.
Individual Legions: No Legion is like the other, they all have different personalities and specialisations, which to the outside are more cosmetic.

We are not burning them right away. There is a separate small unit of Force sensitives, all Vandemarian born FUs are concentrated here:
