Discussion Vampire the Masquerade

Interesting! I'll definitely keep this in mind. It sounds like a blast especially because of the transitions through different ages. Watching the characters develop through all of that would be an absolute joy.

I would probably end up being the Storyteller for it, but I'll add it to the long list of AP's/Modules/Stories that must eventually be run before I die.

That’s a solid play. If you need anything let me know, it’s definitely a ride as a ST too.

By one means or another, we’ve managed to collect a treasure trove of pdfs between our friend group and could share probably any book you need.

Always down to get more books. I have a drive with like 200+ PDFs that I've tucked away. If I ever get the opportunity for VTM again I'll hit you up.

Right now I'm doing Star Wars FFG, Shadowdark, and Blades in the Dark.

Hell yeah, that sounds like fun. I’m going to try push to get some gaming in this year, so far it just isn’t happening.

Star Wars FFG was a good time. Unfortunately, I’m not familiar with the other two games - but they sound good from titles alone.

Have you played Cyberpunk 2020? So brutal.

Shadowdark is an old OSR style game. Basically DnD but pairs down the system to be very basic and narrative forward. So instead of skills you just have abilities(So like picking a lock is just a dex check), the talents and spells are very simple, it's really fantastic and streamlined.

Blades in the Dark is basically a Dieselpunk Heist Game. Structured around different 'scores' and set in a world sort of like Dishonored but different. Very cool and also narrative forward.

I've done exactly one session of Cyberpunk 2020, it was really fun and I wish I'd gotten to play more. For that Genre I've mostly run Cy_Borg which is very rules light version

Can anybody get in on this book business? I am looking for (or creating if can’t find) a forum for VtM and I’m sure they would be helpful. No worries if not.

I have actually never been a sabbat member. I always be a “good” vampire and try to keep the masquerade going.

Very based.

Okay, yeah, that actually makes Shadowdark sound a lot more interesting to me. I like the appeal of stripping some of the mechanical bloat out and letting the narrative carry more of the game, that’s what attracted me to VtM and WoD in general.

Blades in the Dark sounds dope, I’d definitely give that a shot. The Dishonored comparison immediately gives me a much better picture of it. The whole crew and scores aspect is appealing.

I’ve done I think six sessions, was an absolute blast. Coincidentally we tried it before the 2077 game trailer came out initially and were pumped. Just time slipped away. Streetkid with a shotgun, lots of subdermal modifications to try and not die - with how easy it was to get got.

Yeah, absolutely. Just let me know.

I always recommend learning the basics as a Camarilla member first - play into the personal horror before one just goes Sabbat. Keeps the experience of being a Sabbat as a dark undertone story of survival instead of transitioning into just a vampire supervillain rip-em up story.

Sabbat are utterly inhuman, but not nearly as twisted as the Baali.

I would highly recommend trying both of them. If you ever want to, hit me up, I have some things in the works for both.

The Cyberpunk campaign sounds awesome, even with just six sessions. That universe is so fun to play around in. I think the newest one is Cyberpunk Red?

I might take you up on that, hit me with your discord handle and if your sessions align with my schedule I’ll definitely join in.

Yeah Cyberpunk Red is the latest, I honestly haven’t tried it outside taking a look at the sourcebook. I think they had a 2077 Edgerunners add-on as well to update the setting.
