Now, I can't find the music my mum played/sang for me when I was a kid (those were mostly Norwegian versions of old Church songs), but it's not terribly hard to find traditional/traditional-esque music from Norway, the Netherlands, and Denmark (the main countries my fam is from). Listening to this stuff makes me wish coming to America hadn't washed away so much of my culture. Over the years my family has slowly lost touch with a lot of our heritage, holding on to more recipes than anything else.
