Strengths:

Weaknesses:

• Force-nullifiers: The presence of Force-nullifiers can render the Utai Crystal Ball nothing more than an ordinary crystal ball.
• Presence: Force-imbuement presence means that unless you somehow hide it, Force-users can detect the crystal ball.
• Force-guzzling: With higher throughputs comes higher expenditures of Force-energy: it will effectively double the users' Force-energy consumption when using psychometry or precognition
• Psychometry: Can only see past events in objects within 10 meters of the ball
• Precognition: Can only see future events in objects within 10 meters of the ball

DESCRIPTION: The Utai Crystal Ball is a polished quartz ball, imbued with enhancements to psychometry and precognition, and also with a stand made of stainless doonium. The alchemical enhancements allow one to see farther in the future or in the past when these powers are used within 10 meters of the crystal ball. It can also resist lightsabers as well as ion/EMPs. However, this does not come without its drawbacks: the user's Force-energy reserves are drained twice as fast when psychometry or precognition is in use. And finally, as with all things alchemical, it comes with all the usual weaknesses of alchemy: Force-nullifiers, Force-presence, to name the main ones.

There's only one other submission that I can think that's like this, and it has limitations of what it can see. I'd like to see something like that here as well, either in what it can see or how far it can see in terms of physical distance.

In other words, it can't be used to see something (in the past or future) far off in a distance?

So it cannot, in fact, be used to see in the past or future of an object or location far off in distance.
