Public Use Your Hands

Nar Shaddaa might not have been the prettiest place to be, but it was definitely one of the most lucrative places if one knew where to look. For Deborah that was in the shock boxing circuits and fight club scene. There was always some two-bit gangster looking to make a name for himself in the ring and some sap that was willing to wager credits on the big dumb one. She was by no means the big dumb one, and so when that big dumb one crashed to the ground and she stood over him the crowd gave mixed signals. Clearly some folk had wagered and won, but others were generally surprised that this otherwise behemoth of a man had been put down by a tall and lanky woman with zero reputation.

Blood running from her nose, bruises forming, and a smile that told the crowd to blow her was all she offered to the crowd as she left to collect her own purse. Surely they did not think they had some kind of ringer in her, so whatever the rake was she was going to be contented at least. Not that she really needed the credits, but it was a principle thing. One should be paid for the work they put in, and she put in one hell of a clinic in the fundamentals of shock boxing and why simply being a big brawler was not enough to win every single fight.

Florbo the Hutt was also quite shocked to say the very least that Deborah was the one standing before him claiming the purse for the won fight. There was, at least as far as she could tell, an expression of exasperated curiosity that passed for pleasantries when he handed over the credits. "Ain't many folk that can put Big Grunt down like that. You really put a beat down on him. He gonna be big mad when he wakes up from that. You can take care of yourself, but still, friendly advice, watch your back. He doesn't like losing."

Deborah waved her taped hands and dismissed the warning, "Guys like him come and go. He won't bother me after a beating like that. I'm sure he wouldn't want another one." she said leaving the bookie's office and walking past all the other people coming with claim tickets. About half of them seemed happy, the others were still wondering how a huge Gammorean lost like that. The secret was in the speed, but she'd never tell them. She wanted to keep them guessing so her purses could be bigger if she stayed her long enough to fight a few more times. Either way, she had her winnings and now she was off to one of the casinos to irriate the dealers and gamblers alike with her uncouth behavior.
