Union [First Order] [Ludolf & Marzena's Wedding]

A bridesmaid she walked where they directed and stood still and serene watching the ceremony unfold. If one knew Marzena it was easy to see her personality played out in the decorations she wondered how different this wedding would be from Faith's. Were Ludolf and Marzena of the same heritage? Language? What was present that was him?

Course now so far Faith's had been in the evening as well inside the large facility there on the Island. Must be because it was a thoroughly romantic moment that this setting appealed to them. Yeah it appealed to her too. Maybe she would just elope though after watching the last few brides and everything they went through, eloping sounded more like a plan than this.

She smiled when the music changed, the bride was approaching.

She was genuinely happy for Marzena and hoped that all of this gave her what she wanted.

After flashing a few more smiles and waves in the direction of friends and those he recognized, partly to cover up his own excitement, Ludolf saw Marzena's mother making her way down the aisle and into the front row. The music continued on and Ludolf stepped down tne white marble stairs for a moment to greet her.

"Hi, Aerin," He said to her warmly, and leaned down to touch cheeks with her with a hand on her shoulder. He hadn't known Marzena's family quite well at all, but at least the feeling was mutual on Ludolf's end - the Supreme Commander was effectively estranged from most of his family, although they had at least made the effort to attend today. The Vaas family had mostly confined themselves to that fate when they knew Ludolf had been selected as an Agent after graduating from the Imperial Academy back on Dromund Kaas.

He was about to exchange more words with Aerin when the music shifted, and bridesmaids began to make their way down the aisle. Could it be happening already? Ludolf quickly excused himself and stood back on the top of the stairs to await his bride. Soon after, her white-clad visage appeared silhouetted in the doorway - much to Ludolf's surprise, for some reason. Perhaps he had still hung on to the nightmare that she would leave him stranded at the altar. But no. [member="Marzena Choi"] was going through with it. Everything she said she felt for him was true, it seemed. Ludolf could do nothing but paste a calm smile across his steel face as Marzena Choi walked down the aisle. When she arrived, he saw a tear welling in her eye behind the veil. Ludolf took her hand and squeezed it reassuringly as he faced her. They had certainly come a long way from the night they'd met on Dosuun a year ago.

"Ladies and gentlemen," the First Order lawmaker presiding over the wedding said behind them, raising his hands slightly in the air. "Please be seated. We are gathered here today to celebrate the wedding of Supreme Commander Ludolf Vaas and Marzena Choi. It is my understanding that each of you have prepared small statements for each other?"

Marzena Vaas

As Marzena began her walk down the aisle, she held gently to Sebastian’s arm. A radiant smile found her lips, and she let her dark eyes gaze across the guests that had come to share in the joy. She spotted relatives here and there, many faces that were somewhat familiar, and more than a few that were completely unknown. Marzena was also pleased to see that the Vaas family was present in the first row of seats. She understood that the Supreme Commander and his family were no longer close, but it did warm her heart to see them here to support him today. She let her eyes focus on [member="Ludolf Vaas"], and her smile grew as she came to stand before the altar.

Sebastian helped Marzena up the small marble stairs, and gave his sister a brief hug. With his duty to give the bride away complete, he moved down to have a seat next to Mrs. Choi. Marzena handed off her bouquet to [member="Ciana Teigra"] for safe keeping during the ceremony.

Her eyes glinted with tears as she looked up to meet Ludolf’s gaze, but her smile remained. As the Supreme Commander squeezed her hand, she returned it with one of her own. Marzena took a moment to take in his appearance; she was so used to seeing his black uniform, that it was almost startling to see him in white. Even so, he still projected a sense of strength and authority. And he did look quite dashing.

Marzena drew a breath and bowed her head just slightly as their officiant spoke. His eyes fell upon her and he offered the bride a kind smile to encourage her to speak first. She had shaped her sentiments into simple and straight forward vows, lessening the chance of becoming a sobbing mess by the end.

“Ludolf, I am proud to become your wife and honored to be the mother of your child. I look forward to our future together, and building a loving home for our family.” She paused to place a hand on her stomach, and smiled fondly. “I promise to be faithful and supportive and to always place our family’s love and happiness above all else. I will always be by your side, no matter what life may bring us. I promise to be honest, caring, and patient. And I promise to try and be on time.” Marzena’s smile grew for a moment, and her eyes softened. “But most of all, I promise to love and cherish you.”

A tear finally escaped and made its way down her cheek.

“Today I give you my hand and my heart.”

The Queen of Alderaan stood outside admiring the Castle, it was beautiful. Her hand outstretched as she reached once more for the arm of [member="Samael Rekali"] hwo had generously offered his time and company for this event.

Claire was a bridemaid and friend of the Bride, Arianna on the other hand considered this a diplomatic event. The Supreme Commander of the First Order @Ludolf Vaas was marrying a young woman of some stature and family, a small dark haired woman with noble features. She had seen pictures of each of them.

An evening wedding called for a long gown and the simpliest of jewels, never out dress the bride. Ari wore the color of love, red from her dress to her shoes somewhere behind her there was one Alderaan guard. Just in case..

"I will be very happy to hand over the crown to Faith in the next year nand not have to attend another formal function unless I want to. I certainly appreciate your coming with me Samael, I hope you don't mind if I call you by your first name. You should call me Ari, or Arianna this evening." She sighed she was being told to wait the bride was entering the chapel.

She nodded of course, they would wait outside until it was appropriate to enter.

As Marzena stood before him, looking as positively radiant as the sun, Ludolf had but little else to wish from the world. There was no place he would rather be than here, there was no time he would rather be in than now. His heart accelerated a little as [member="Marzena Choi"] said her vows. Those in attendance today would definitely be seeing a different side of the Supreme Commander. Cold and stony as he was, he was still a person with emotions. Not even the Sith Empire's brutal training could take that from him.

When Marzena finished her vows, Ludolf dipped his head and smiled. Normally known for his laconic prose, he wondered if he would be able to top that. He wanted to kiss her then and there - but that would wait.

"Marzena," He began, clearing his throat and straightening his back while still holding her hands. His deep voice carried to the ends of the chapel. "Thank you for showing me a whole new side to life - and a whole new side to myself. Just a year ago, I never would have imagined myself in this situation. But I wouldn't change a thing. I promise you that I will always be here for you, and I can't wait to create our family together. I love you."

He nodded to the state official to signify his closing, and then returned his eyes to Marzena, and his gaze swam in her orbs.

"The bond between you is inseparable and shall continue through all of eternity. By the power vested in me by the Supreme Leader, I pronounce you man and wife."

Ludolf was too busy taking in Marzena's every feature to really hear the words being said behind him, but after they finally sunk in, he lifted his hands up carefully to pull back her veil. Things didn't feel any different than they did a few seconds ago - but now it was finally official. Ludolf wrapped an arm around Marzena's shoulder and leaned in to kiss her lips with a glowing smile.

Marzena Vaas

Guest
Marzena could feel her heart begin to flutter again as [member="Ludolf Vaas"] began to speak. She let go of his hand briefly to dab at her eyes with a handkerchief, and resumed her grasp with a light squeeze. Her dark eyes never left his icy orbs, and her eyes grew misty again as he voiced his vows. Marzena knew better than anyone that the Supreme Commander was a man of few words, but he certainly made them count. As they were pronounced man and wife, she bowed her head to let him pull back her veil. She let her arms drape around Ludolf’s shoulders, and smiled as he moved in for a kiss.

She hadn’t made it through the ceremony without tears, but she truly could not have been happier.

The vows had been spoken, rings exchanged, and the ceremony had come to a close. Marzena took Ludolf’s arm as they stepped down from the altar together, and the newlyweds made their way back down the aisle, followed by the members of the wedding party. The music played as they exited the chapel, and soon the guests would rise as well.

Now, there was only one thing left to do… Celebrate!

The reception space was prepped with tables, chairs, and fine place settings. There were fresh floral accents, and rose details that tied everything together. A tall wedding cake stood in the corner, a very sophisticated and minimal design. Trays of champagne were ready to make the rounds, but there was also a bartender in the back that was already preparing for the arrival of guests. There was even a slightly raised and polished floor set up near the bar, a spot that would hopefully be full of music and dancing before the night was done.

“It’s finally official!” Marzena said with a grin, squeezing Ludolf’s hand as they entered. “Now, shall we have a drink?"

Irajah had been surprised, but pleased to receive an invitation to [member="Marzena Choi"] 's wedding. They weren't close, and maybe not even friends, but she liked the other woman. After procuring a gift and (with some input from [member="Cait Falcor"]) a new dress, she'd counting down to the big day, surprised how much she was looking forward to it.

The ceremony had been beautiful. She hadn't met Marzena's husband-to-be, [member="Ludolf Vaas"] , previously, but it was obvious even from halfway back in the crowd just how deliriously happy they two of them were together. She had her own sappy smile at them as they headed back down the aisle.

Swept along with the wave of other guests, Irajah was perfectly content to go with the flow of the crowd in to the reception. She didn't really know anyone here, personally, though there were a couple familiar faces, but being surrounded by strangers had never bothered her before anyway. She signed the guest registry, pausing before putting a small heart and a smile after her name. Checking the seating chart, she scouted out her assigned table, depositing the small purse at her seat.

Hazel eyes moved around the room, taking it all in. She noticed the table of gifts, checking to make sure her own small, silver wrapped package was there before continuing her scan. Ah. Bar.

The doctor headed in that direction for now. Having something in her hands was a good place to start, and a glass of something sounded like just the thing.

skin, bone, and arrogance
The second half of their ride to the wedding was slightly less luxurious than the Frontrunner, having had to be rescued from a malfunctioning ship by the Navy, but Natasi Fortan, [member="Halcyon Greenslade"], and [member="Rolf Amsel"] finally arrived in time for the reception. Natasi couldn't help but roll her eyes at the ostentation on display. What the nouveau riche never seemed to understand was that sometimes -- in fact, almost always -- less was more. Money was gold plate flatware; class was the family set handed down from generation to generation -- not perfect, and it required a shine, but there was no mistaking the quality. She let her eyes linger on the place for a few more moments before looking around at the guests, trying to find a familiar face but stopping as a thought occurred to her.

"There doesn't seem to be a receiving line," said Natasi to [member="Halcyon Greenslade"]. "But why should they do this one thing right after going out of order on everything else?" She heaved a sigh and scanned the room. "Listen, you can stay and enjoy as much as you like, but I'm really only interested in making an appearance and being photographed and then I'll go back to the ship to work. But if you wouldn't mind helping me out of this chair and, er -- holding me up -- for the photographs -- I would be grateful. I'd rather not have my condition publicized if I can help it."

She snatched a glass of champagne from a passing waiter and again let her eyes wander over the room, trying to see if there was anyone here worth speaking to. Her eyes lit upon [member="Irajah Ven"], who seemed to be on a mission. She was sure [member="Marzena Choi"] and [member="Ludolf Vaas"] were clinging together somewhere, a thought that made her spine -- or what was left of it that was functioning -- go rigid with irritation. She meant Marzena well, really, but the two of them made it so difficult sometimes. Suppressing an agitated grunt, she turned back towards Greenslade. "We might as well go out and be photographed arriving now. Do you mind terribly?"

Blinking several times, Nate smiled to himself. Gazing out across the landscape of Thakwaa, he appreciated the green - Riflor while still sporting its own forests in places - was a much duller scene more often than not. That wasn't entirely fair though, since the First Order had brought Riflor into the fold they'd done a number on the pollution that filled the skies, enough that the City of New Advora had even begun to look a bit more green itself. Stirred from his thoughts by the voice of [member="Madlyn Sol"], he turned his head. Raising an eyebrow at the word she used - Fairytale.

"It's certainly... Exorbitant." He said. "I don't think I'd ever presume to tell anyone what to do for their wedding, but this seems a bit much. I think something a little less up tight, maybe a but more - rustic? You on the other hand, I wouldn't change a thing about."

He gave her a quick wink, she had chosen quite the dress and he certainly wasn't complaining. What was it his father had told him before making his way into politics? He wasn't a man cut of the same cloth. Nate had always wondered what that meant but over the last few years he began to thing he was starting to get the idea. Just like any other person, Nate had ambitions, desires, needs, but what he didn't have was a connection to things. He was cultured enough to respect things - and people - for what they were. Nothing more, but certainly nothing less, a rare trait among some of the more social elite of the First Order bureaucracy.

Having found a seat near the middle on the... was there a groom side? A bride's side? He didn't really know. He assumed not as he looked cautiously around. As far as he could tell they were fine just where they were. The ceremony seemed to go off without a hitch, Nate casually glancing over at his companion from time to time. The two had always worked around each other, just in different offices but their shared experience during the Ssi-Ruuk occupation had done much to acquaint the two. As per usual, the Governor of Riflor couldn't have been bothered to attend 'some wedding', even if it was the Supreme Commander's. Naturally, Nate had been volun-told but there had been one slight hiccup. Nate didn't exactly have a plus one. And so, it was the need for a date as well maybe a bit of friendship, the Commissioner had asked Madlyn to go as his second, as colleagues of course, at least that's what he told himself.

Along with the rest of the guests in attendance the pair had made their way to the reception. Once more Nate noted the extravagance displayed here. Surely wealth was one measure of success and the grandeur of the halls weren't lost on him though he wondered if this type of expenditure could have been used to further assist the very planets the First Order had claimed dominion over rather than... this. Nonetheless, he ushered Madlyn towards the door, a smile given in her direction.

"Ladies first."

Michael Wainford

Commander of the FIV Warlock, First Order Navy
As the ceremony went on, the Warlock was making it's descent into the upper atmosphere. Michael ordered the ship to stay in a spot where the guest at the reception could see the ship outside of the church. Usually, it's objective was to eliminate any navy forces that was an enemy to the First Order. Now, it's purpose was to celebrate the marriage of [member="Marzena Choi"] and [member="Ludolf Vaas"] . The missile launches on the starboard side had it's missiles replaced with fireworks that would light up the afternoon sky. By then, all the guest has entered in the reception hall.
Michael noticed that the ship was in place, but most of the guest did not notice the large ship in the distance. Michael walked up to the front of the room where the bride and groom sat. He turned around to look to the guest and tapped his wine glass with the spoon that he have took from his table."
"Ladies and gentlemen may I please have your attention?"
He waited for the guest to pay attention to him.
"On behalf of the crew of the FIV Warlock, we would like to congratulate the supreme commander and his wife. The crew has decided to give a gift for the new couple and wedding guest to enjoy."
He took out his microphone and softly said: "Go"
Within seconds, the ship fired out fireworks out of it's starboard. The fireworks lit up the sky with multiple different colors. It reflected on the lake that surrounded the church. The firework show took over 30 seconds since they filled the missile launchers to the brim with all these different fireworks. Michael was proud with what him and his ship was able to accomplished. He believed that the supreme commander and his wife would be pleased to see the firework show. He smiled and began to go back to his seat.

Like any sensible man, though perhaps uncharacteristically, Ludolf had given [member="Marzena Choi"] mostly free reign over their wedding plans. He knew that she had more of an eye for that sort of thing than he did, and she was a natural decorator, so it seemed only natural to defer to her sensibilities. Marzena had probably been dreaming of this day her entire life, whereas the prospect of marriage had only become real to Ludolf within the last year. Truthfully, he didn't much care about the decorations, so long as he could marry her. They could be getting married in their cabin at Skye, for all he cared. Although he had one stipulation - none of that gauche or tasteless modern, "interpretive" art or decorum that seemed so popular in the Core Worlds. Fortunately, he was happy to see that Marzena had done a wonderful job with the decoration choices, from the florals on the tables to the cake. The room was awash in ivory, giving the entire hall a clean, pure glow that contrasted sharply with Ludolf's usual surroundings. He liked it.

"A drink sounds good," Ludolf said as he held Marzena's hand as the two sat down. Since she was pregnant, he automatically assumed that she meant something non-alcoholic, and began pouring her a glass of water from the pitcher at the head of their long table. Small flutes of champagne had been set out for each guest, including the newlyweds, but Ludolf himself hadn't planned on using it for anything other than the toasts.

It was at that moment that [member="Michael Wainford"] caught the hall's attention. Outside, through the tall, transparisteel windows, the FIV Warlock was visible hovering over Hexheim Castle, an eternal reminder of the First Order's dominance and presence here on this world. Ludolf gripped Marzena's hand joyfully as the bright fireworks added color to the sky, even with the sun still visible over the glowing horizon. The distant pops and fizzles gave way to sparkling bouquets of colors that lit up Ludolf's blue irises. The Supreme Commander smiled.

When all was over, Ludolf sat up from his chair, and simultaneously offered Marzena a helping hand out of hers. It would be good to have a word with Commander Wainford. He found the man responsible near the windows, and moved up to him.

"What an unexpected surprise, Commander Wainford," He said with a smile, and extended his hand. "Truly! Thank you for attending. You remember Marzena, of course," He motioned back to his wife, whom the Commander would be familiar with after the evacuation of Seoul, "How nice for all of us to be meeting again, this time not under life-threatening circumstances."

skin, bone, and arrogance
After mingling for a quarter hour, Natasi was done. She went out onto the entry with Halcyon, who assisted her out of her hoverchair and held her up so she didn't collapse for the photos to be taken.

"Cheat to the left, ma'am? A little more? Perfect," called the photographer, snapping a few shots of Natasi 'arriving' to the wedding with [member="Halcyon Greenslade"]. He had become a fast friend during their time at the Garden during the siege of Avalonia, and she had requested her join her personal security detail for the simple reason that he didn't go to pieces every time she looked uncomfortable. He understood what she was going through more than anyone who hadn't been there that horrible day; he didn't ask questions or try to mother her to death. He just was. It was a comfort.

"Right," she told Hal curtly. "I'm done here. I'll be on the ship. But do feel free to mingle and eat or whatever it is they have planned for in there." She frowned and stared towards the castle for a few moments, then blew out a disgusted sigh and shook her head. "These two are going to be trouble," she muttered, more to herself than to Hal as she settled into the hoverchair. She didn't know what [member="Ludolf Vaas"] had planned for [member="Marzena Choi"] in terms of a public role, but she suspected that with an extravagant castle purpose built for the wedding, and insisting it be treated as some sort of diplomatic event, there would be some expectation of status. I'll be the judge of that, she mused as she used her arms to adjust herself in the chair. When she was quite settled, the Grand Moff bade Greenslade farewell and returned to the landing area with aid of her hoverchair.

"Admit no one," she told the stormtroopers guarding the entrance ramp. She had work to do and would not be disturbed.

Marzena Vaas

Guest
Marzena took a seat next to [member="Ludolf Vaas"], glad for the opportunity to rest her feet for at least a moment or two. Her chestnut eyes lingered on the flutes of champagne on the table, the tiny bubbles visible in the golden liquid. It made her glass of water look a bit plain in comparison, but she accepted it with a smile. After a couple of small sips, she made a mental note to ask the bartender to open a bottle of sparkling cider for toasts.

She was pulled from her thoughts by the sound of clinking glass, and turned slightly to see [member="Michael Wainford"]. A pleasant smile found her lips, Marzena was glad to see that the Commander had chosen to attend. Her free hand came to rest on her chest; she was truly touched that Commander Wainford and his crew had prepared something for them. Marzena’s smile only grew at the sight of the dazzling display of fireworks. The bright sunburst shapes had captured the gazes of everyone in the room, their eyes focused on the lovely colors that streaked the sky outside.

She gave Ludolf’s hand a happy squeeze as he helped her out of her seat. As the newlyweds made their way through the crowd, she happened to spot [member="Irajah Ven"] at the bar. Marzena offered the doctor a friendly wave; they would have to catch up. But for the moment, she turned her attention to Commander Wainford.

“Thank you, Commander Wainford.” Marzena smiled brightly, “That was quite a treat!”

It truly was nice to see the man that had rescued them from the terror of Seoul. Marzena would never forget that day, nor would she forget the sense of duty and bravery displayed by the Commander.

“I hope you enjoy yourself tonight. Please have some champagne, and some cake, too.”

"Upper West Corridor secure."

Aizen remained in the shadows of Hexheim Castle, overlooking the function itself. It was a very formal event. The word was to be not seen and not heard yet there. This event was a whose who of First Order diplomats. Supreme Commander [member="Ludolf Vaas"] alone drew the attention for security of the Security Bureau, but the invitation list extended in further. Commander of the First Order Navy was here. Commander of the White Wolves was on the list. An Organa was a bridesmaid. He could have went over name over name of possible targets against the First Order in attendance.

The Castle let alone the entire region of the planet had been scouted. Trade routes checked and check point stationed, nothing was going to get past the First Order security net. Nothing that did not want to die that is.

Aizen's cybernetic vision extended past Thankwaa Lake for a scan. There was a flutter in the distance. His eye shifted to infrared and then filtering across the electro spectrum. It was a bird.

"Check in."

[member="Ludolf Vaas"] [member="Marzena Choi"] (figured security was needed)

It was said and done, and Claire was headed to get a drink. She didn't mind the bridesmaid dress it was tasteful there wasn't much that Marzena did that wasn't. She was greatful for that. She had seen some in the past and...wow..just wow were the only words she had ever been able to utter at them.

Claire had to admit she was a bit out of place here, she didn't really know anyone except Marzena and she wasn't sure if her cousin was going to attend either.

Ok, so..let's mingle. Claire did the Organa thing she smiled and began shaking hands. "hi, yes lovely isn't it. Are you friends of the bride or the groom" Claire smiled and kept calm, and kept shaking hands. Yep..another party just like fashion week.

Michael Wainford

Commander of the FIV Warlock, First Order Navy
The young commander smiled when [member="Ludolf Vaas"] started talking to him. He reacted to the supreme commander extending his hand by doing the same.
"It was a pleasure. Personally, I did not think the fireworks would be able to shot out from the missile launchers, but my head gunnery officer convinced otherwise... And I see he was correct."
He turned his head towards [member="Marzena Choi"]
"It's a pleasure to meet you again. Only this time in a beautiful church instead of the roof a police station"
He smiled again. From the corner of his eye, he could see the Warlock making it's long journey back up into orbit of the planet. When Michael saved Ludolf and Marzena from Seoul, he was still in command of the FIV Reliant, a small corvette. Now he commanded a Victory Class Star Destroyer. Things were only looking up for him

[SIZE=10.5pt]Helden gives the Grand Moff a respectful nod of head. Behind the Lieutenant is two of her Stormtroopers; Noose and Chrome who are across from one another with the path to the landing pad between them. All three of these Stormtroopers are holding armed and loaded F-11D blasters, in the event anybody attempted to disrupt the party with unlawful behaviour her platoon would step in. "Yes Ma'am" The response if brief and formal, Helden pivots to face the tall Noose behind her and gives him instructions. "Noose, take Chrome and escort the Grand Moff home or to her ship as necessary. Contact Sev on TEAMCOM and he will send the Banshee over to pick you up, understood?" The answer is a simple nod from the pair of Stormtroopers. If security detail was this depressing for Joan, she could only begin to imagine how disappointing it is for Hotshot, poor Trooper loved his Flamethrower and he couldn't bring it to the Castle, sends the wrong message and is completely impractical for HVT protection. Max spent a moment still sitting in the ceremony area, reflecting. Or was it praying? From military life to political conflict, Max had sunk his time so much into 'serious' affairs that he had forgotten to remember the other parts of life. He was glad this union had occurred, if only to remind him of the nicer parts of life.

Stepping out, a man clad in black stormtrooper armour with bloodstripes approached him "Nothing notable is happening at present, sir." Max nodded politely, then made his way to the reception area. Seeing [member="Natasi Fortan"] for a moment, he was about to head over, until she exited. Probably best not to disturb her, he thought. [member="Ludolf Vaas"] and [member="Marzena Choi"] were sitting within Max's view as well, so he made an approach towards them.

Reaching their table, he smiled warmly and spoke "My utmost congratulations to you both, I wish you a happy marriage. This celebration has certainly lifted my mood."

Ludolf canted his head and smiled at the memory of Seoul. Fortunately, it was something they could -almost- laugh about now, save for the destruction that befell that city. But that destruction, and the First Order's rebuilding efforts, was a major factor in the planetary system's voluntary choice to join the First Order.

"Our surroundings have improved considerably, I'd say," He replied to [member="Michael Wainford"]. "Things just keep looking up for us, don't they?" He jested. Then, before turning to exit, Ludolf echoed Marzena's sentiments. "Yes, it is truly a pleasure to see you, Commander Wainford. Please do stay for the dinner. We've got some really fine bantha filets prepared."

The Supreme Commander turned to exit then, with [member="Marzena Choi"] in tow. There were simply too many people to greet; unfortunately he could not linger in one place for long. The entire evening was becoming like a whirlwind of smiling faces and offers of congratulations - not that Ludolf necessarily minded it. Although the realization was perhaps sinking in now more than ever before. He was married.

The situation was slightly overwhelming, yes, but when [member="Max Fel"] came to greet them, Ludolf was sure he hadn't forgotten who this man was; rather, they had never met before. There were plenty of unfamiliar faces at his wedding, something he had expected. Max Fel was simply one of them.

"Thank you very much," Ludolf nodded his head and returned with a smile of his own, and extended his hand to shake Max's. "I don't believe we've met."
