Underland (Satine D'ulin)

[Matsu Ike]

Location: Shri-Tal, Imperial City

The underworks of the Imperial city were a wonderful place at times, Matsu was looking at the small headquarters of Sasori and aside from her ship she enjoyed this place. her researchers were hard at work and as she walked into the office that connected to the small adjoining temple. The building built in the district for quick access from here and deeper into the ground leading to the ancient honeyomb roadwork as they led to the Silver jedi's lifeline to their own temple in the mountain. The entryway uncovered and they had worked to clear and seal the tunnels so it could be used. Now Matsu was in the office waiting to see one of her sisters from Emberlene. She had been sending some of what they made from selling products to different groups and some gear to them. Though now she wanted to make it more official and work to develop more useful gear to the Shadow Guards.

[SIZE=12pt]Satine still recovering from making it out of the land of the dead walked slowly into the main stream of the inhabitants of Shri-Tal. She looked around more guarded then usual.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]One of the clan leaders wanted to speak with her and they wanted to speak here. Satine was still trying to remember everything, and to fit into her role as a member of the High Council again.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]It was slow going, [member="Nolan Detta"] was always near, always reaching to make sure she was there. They were both recovering now, both dealing with the emotions that the separation had created.[/SIZE]

Matsu continued to watch and observe as they were working. She had some of the designs laid out and there was the specialized armor that she was working on. Though the real treat came as she raised her head up looking out and moved quickly to greet a member of the high council. Her family was on Emberlene but she like most had come out to make credits and send back home for the clans. That plus they could send equipment as she was looking out the main door. She had only met Satine once before but the woman seemed strong and guarded someone she could trust as she offered a bow as the sound of construction lightly filtered up through the floor and walls.

Satine shook her head, "don't bow a greeting of a sister of Emberlene would be more welcome" Satine smiled and reached out expecting the other woman to clasp her arm a greeting of warrior to warrior, sister to sister.

"What can I do for you Matsu?" Satine had made sure that all of the clan knew where she was, it was important that when Satine met with Clans that she appear strong, recovered, and in control. Otherwise it might cause concern among the sisters, While their numbers were small they needed to keep active.

Matsu looked at her and clasped her hand as she moved forward offering a small nod. "As sisters of Emberlene." The look on her face though while she was going over it and looking at the woman was wonderful and she was glad her sister was here. She moved back a little though and motioned her inside as the construction continued and she was speaking. "Well I have been working on a few things. Notably equipment and ideas for the shadow guards but supplying my own clan and house would be one thing. These should be shared and given to each of us."

Satine nodded, "What are suggesting should be shared among the sister clans?" It was time for the Mistryl to begin taking contracts and working as they were meant to, perhaps this was why Mya would be better at this, she did not think about the consequences of who would work with them and who would not she only focused on the clans.

Satine smiled at Matsu she could see the excitement on her face was easily seen.

"It should be." She had ideas for new gear and new equipment they could use and ways to move around the galaxy. Blending into he shadows with real stealth suits and prepping themselves with some of the better things in the galaxy. Her amusement leading her inside though was there and happiness as the building was being worked on. Their people working to make the headquarters a worthwhile place to visit and show off. "We'll make the deal official and then we shall move forward with our talks. A new stealth suit is a great way to start and I know just what we need to find."

"We need to build up a few other buildings" Satine looked around it was a bit sad to see that some of them had fallen into a bit of decay but they could fix it and they could get some work.

"Matsu you know a number of our clans are in need of work and there are agencies out there willing ot pay us well for our stealth." Satine looked at the drawings, "I'm thinking of letting everyone work where they can find credits, would you have a problem with them using this technology to do that?"

It was important to Satine, important to be clear with those around her.

Matsu looked at her and had to think about it, the tech wasn't made yet for them but there were plans and they could do a great many things with it all as she spoke. "The clans need this equipment and the credits will comein handy for them to help rebuild. We will have to be careful though as these will and can be expensive to replace. We'll have to work hard but there are some other things I believe we can setup. New zenji needles using sharper and strong materials. New ships with some of the latest we can get for transporting and providing an armory for the shadow guards."

"Matsu I'm not sure you understand or you're deliberately avoiding the question." Satine looked over everything a simple wave of her hand, "Clan, Shadows may work for the Sith, will it bother you if they use this equipment to do that?"

She knew that many did not want to work with the Sith, and that many were struggling. Asking them to pay for this without giving them a way to make credits was almost cruel.

Matsu looked at her as she was thinking about it. She didn't like the idea of clans working for the sith and would prefer not to but she also knew that things were desperate. "I would prefer they didn't work for the sith but I know it might sometimes be needed. Just be careful with it though and make sure it does not come back to us."

"With your shield or on it" Satine said slowly, "it may be what we have to do." She nodded, "So tell me more about this design and what else you think we can do with it" They had to be protected, and they had to be stronger than what they were to survive.

Matsu looked at her as she brought the design up onto a holopad within the building. Holoemitters being finished here while they continued construction and upgrading their different areas. "The armor is going to be modular for different clans and use a layer of microscopic crystals that will bend the light around it. It will allow the clans to move around in stealth and work as needed with a small shock to the lattice that is created. We'll need to do a great deal of work though getting them and some of the other parts to it. Duraplast and a layer of kinetic armor for chainmail to reduce damage from impact. Weapons in the wrists and shoulders."

"How does this design differ from the other stealth suits that are available?" Satine knew something about design after all she wore the items on missions and more than once they had to repair it and it paid to understand how something was made and how it worked.

Satine nodded as Matsu gave her details on the design, "ok so where do we have to go to get all of this?"

Matsu looked at her. "Well the difference is that nightshadow, reflec and stygium can be expensive and building enough for a clan to use not as cost effective. The crystals are synthetic and made in a lab for armors." That was the best she had for reasoning while she looked at her sister while she showed more of the designed around them letting the display of the world come while the workers were done. "We'll need to sneak onto Elrood and search there. They have the crystals and the way to manufacture them."

"Elrood, well we won't send a team there for that. Need" She thought for a moment, "you and I could go to do this." Satine had not been out on many missions as of late for a reason. She still wasn't sure of reality and dreams.

"Will that work?"

Matsu looked up at her and the mention of them both going there while she had a grin on her face. "Yes we could, they wouldn't expect two people and we could move quickly and quietly." There was a look from her to the desk as the builders were finishing up and she opened a drawer withdrawing her hair sticks as the white carved sticks were sharp for throwing and she slid them into her hair that was large but a smile tugged at the edges of her lips. "I am ready when you are my sister, we can go and handle the situation."

"That's is what we are known for doing best, moving fast, and silent. We can do this" Satine nodded, should be simple, should be no drama. She thought about it briefly, "yes we can leave almost immediately. I want to draw weapons just in case."

She had learned the hard way, just in case someone didn't like you and found out you weren't on their side, became a war.

Matsu looked at her and gave a nod of her head as she rose up with her equipment on her and started securing it. "Very well then, I have a ship for just this job and we can be there quickly." She had a grin on her face thinking about it before she was letting her attention come to the crowds passing by while she stretched. "When you are ready, we'll head towards the starport."

[SIZE=12pt]She was never completely disarmed, but she was not armed as well as she wished. “Do you have other weapons for us to use?” She preferred her own but they were at the Clan House and going back for them now was a waste of time.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]But if Matsu did not have, then she’d have to go to get them and meet Matsu later.[/SIZE]
