Thyferra was a jewel among the worlds of the Confederacy. Its beauty was second to none, and the climate left nothing to be desired. For those looking to escape, it was paradise, and for those looking to find a cure, the bacta produced on the world saved many lives. Behind all of it was one man, and his bride, Daegon and Seraphina Corvinus. If ever there were a couple that seemed to be oddly matched, these two were it. He was dark, manipulative, and some would use the word evil. She was bright, kind, loving, and everyone used the word good. Today their home was ready for a guest in hopes the man would find them to be more hospitable than the cold reception received on Geonosis.
Deagon did not expect their conversation would be easy. The bacta mogul had questions for the banker. Depending on how those questions were answered, the banker might find a friend among the Confederates. Daegon was specifically concerned about the bacta trade. While he fared well, and owned one of the leading producers of the life saving compound, there was another company that stood to gain if things went sideways. It was not the Confederacy was opposed to trade with foreign entities, they were however opposed to deals which did not put their interests first. That was especially true for Daegon when it came to Thyferra. If the other Viceroy’s wanted to jeopardize his foreign interests.
The patio was raised, a set of stairs led up to the stone sitting area which overlooked the river which flowed between it and the main residence. Daegon enjoyed the mountain home which was surrounded by the different colors of nature, the jungle, the water, the deciduous trees that would change with the seasons. His dark nature did not stop him from admiring beautiful things, the most beautiful being his bride. She would ensure that sufficient refreshments would be prepared for the meeting.
For his part, Daegon ensured the meeting area was set. Comfort and luxury were both things the Viceroy of Thyferra enjoyed in life. He had spent time as a child without it, and had it not been for hard work and manipulation, Daegon would have none of it now. The display of his opulence was much a way to brag about what he accomplished as it was meant to impress his guest. Granted, the lavish lifestyle was also meant for Seraphina. She was a princess by birthright, and she was his queen. Nothing would ever be good enough for her, not because she was demanding, but because Daegon said so.
It was a waiting game now. The invitation had been extended and accepted. His guest would be arriving soon, and the well dressed politician would be ready for him. He had been disgusted by the behavior of some among the Viceroyalty, and the complete lack of decorum of one in particular. Were it not for the power he sought, the Viceroyalty chamber would be a waste of his time. For now it was simply a means to an end. Influence was gained by seemingly uncomfortable things, even unpopular methods. If any knew of this meeting it would be seen exactly as such. Daegon did not care however. This was about Thyferra, this was about his interests. Ultimately, it was about keeping a fish on the line, one that was about to break away and take with him a potential opportunity the Confederacy was unwilling to listen to.
“Your guest has arrived Master Corvinus,” an elderly and kind voice greeted the man who was looking out over the water.
Turning he nodded to the man and offered a small smile.
“Send him this way, and please inform Lady Corvinus as well.”
Daegon at once turned back to face the water, the sound of it soothing to his ears. This is how he would wait, and this was how Maliphant would find him.

Maliphant moved through the home without his usual demeanor of foreboding power - a man without the dark visage of a Sith Lord to back his negotations, to strike fear into those that would question him, and to mock those that thought them above him. Instead, he was someone powerful in a different way - and far less imposing for immediate thread, Dorian Harper, Chairmen of the IGBC and top five richest people in the galaxy - much to his amusement.
Black hair and blue eyes greeted Corvinus as he entered, while a smile served as his signature to his entrance. His voice, cast from molten silver, came in soft lulling tones that reeked of professionalism and design; carefully crafted from the very syllable to be pleasant to present company.
Master Corvinus. You’ve a truly beautiful home.”, he mused as he reached a hand out to shake - and whether the man took it or not, he would bring it back to his coats pocket, as the other hand carried a tablet beneath it. Earrings dangled from Dorian’s ears, a solid almost completely translucent corsuca gem resting on either side - an obvious sign of his wealth, considering their worth; and they only shown bright as he turned his head to find a place to sit nearby, the sun seeming to give his nature as much attention as Dorian did.
When the man finally found comfort in his spot, he rested the tablet on the table, undid the buttons of his coat for posture, and leaned back to prepare himself for their conversation.
You were vague about the details of our meeting via your correspondence.”, Dorian acknowledged. Not that he didn’t know what this was about - it wasn’t hard to track down the vital businesses this ‘Confederacy First’ proclamation would hurt, and it just so happened that Corvinus’s bacta farms were high on the priority lists to get involved with the IGBC. Lucky for the Clan, Corvinus reached out first.
Could you explain a bit about what you hope to achieve here today, and what you’d like from the Clan?”
