Miss Blonde

Trying to be straight in a crooked Galaxy
O%27reen.jpg

If there was ever something you wanted, you took it. It was just as simple as that. It was how the Galaxy seemed to work these days. Between the stupid amount of major powers carving out entire sections of the Galaxy, to the minor powers fighting over the scraps left in their wake. It was all just a cycle of taking and scavenging. And baby, Blonde was the best scavenger in the game.

The name of her game was simple and easy. Find the forgotten treasures of the past, kill their owners, and sell them to the giants up high who needed them. Once they overstretched themselves and eventually collapsed, she'd pick their corpses clean and let it begin a new. It was a very lucrative operation to say the least.

So what was getting scavenged today? Well that was a good question, and of course Blonde had kept her trademark talent of keeping information tight when it came to the who's and what's. All the people needed to know was that there was an item of value on the planet of O'reen and they had to go and get it.

Why was O'reen special? Well for a few reasons really. For starters it was the planet of a very large battle back in the day between long forgotten super powers, people and regimes that no longer existed. But there were plenty of treasures that were waiting to be taken.

"Alright, folks. Here's the plan. Down there, there's a plateau with a fortified research facility on top of it. Our job is to go down there and to beat the ever loving crap out of them. The rules are simple, if they have a gun or weapon of some kind they are free game. However, any who are unarmed and trying to hide or surrender then they are off limits. I don't need another mass killing on my hands." From inside a rumbling drop ship, Miss Blonde spoke to the various people she hired via comm link.

Down below the mountainous planet of O'reen was waiting, and with that her prize. But it wouldn't be easy to get to, the mountain fortress that stood in their way needed to be cleared. Now criminals were never ones for head on assaults, but she would need to make an exception this time around. What she was after was just that worth it.

"Sixty seconds! Land inside the fortress and give them hell! We can't afford to siege from outside the walls! So handle it!" As much fun as the idea of being killed by flak guns were, they had the drop on them so they'd have a small window to get themselves and their battle droids in without being torn to shreds.

"I'm getting too old for this," Long John quietly muttered to himself. This wasn't the seasoned pirate's first heist, and it certainly wouldn't be his last. O'reen was the name of the planet they were over, and their job today was quite simple: get in, kill anyone in their way, steal whatever needed to be stolen, and get out.

It was too easy, and that's how Trenway knew it was gonna be hard as hell.

Well, at least the band of criminals and misfits sitting aboard the drop ship looked capable. No one in particular looked fearful. The old-fashioned pirate was also glad that they wouldn't be killing anyone unnecessarily. That was always a plus. Trenway had enough of wanton slaughtering and butchery in the galaxy. Even as a pirate in his prime, he'd always try to minimize casualties whenever possible, offering those who surrendered quarter. Those who continue to fight, however, received no mercy. For the sake of the people down below him, Long John hoped that they would give up. Otherwise, he'd have to show them what the toys on his cybernetic limbs did.

At first glance, it would appear that the pirate was unarmed, but anyone who had even heard of the notorious scoundrel knew about all the weapons hidden in his right arm. He had everything from a blaster to a vibroblade to even a low grade plasma cannon. Besides that, John had a multitude of tools in his arm and leg that helped out in everything from everyday applications to taking loot from a secure room. On the exterior, there was nothing to indicate this. If the others aboard the drop ship hadn't heard of the pirate, they'd probably assume he was mad, going into battle with no weapons.

Long John Trenway took advantage of the last few seconds of peace, reclining back into his seat and taking a swig of rum from a canteen that was hidden in the many pockets of his great coat. He was ready to get this over with and get away with as much gear and money as possible.

In the dropship a teen with white hair sat. He silently listened as his employer [member="Miss Blonde"] spoke about casualties and rules over the loud rumble of the craft. Of course the young Rapax wasn't necessarily fond of leaving survivors, he was an assassin and a Rapax, he thrived on killing, but he respected Miss Blonde's rules. Mostly because he'd still get to kill those who fight back.

On the outside Benji looked to be a normal teen. But that's what the Rapax was going for, people often underestimated him. Benjamin's species were known for killing, for the only thing they could eat was flesh from other lifeforms.

He was snapped out of his thoughts at the sound of his boss's voice. It was sixty seconds apparently, then the fun would begin. Looking around the dropship he noticed many faces. One that stuck out was [member="John Trenway"]. There was something about him that the Rapax would find off. He disregarded the thought as his red eyes continued to move across the ship.

Sixty seconds

Jynx sat next to the exits with a hand resting on her droid beside her. She wore a simple gas mask to hide her face just in case her face gets plastered across all galactic wanted posters. Again. Interestingly enough, not many present had any visible weaponry. The cyborg might be packing something nasty in those limbs but the pale boy didn't seem like he was carrying anything. Though, it didn't really matter to her, their preparation was none of her business.

It always seemed that the most peaceful moments came before the most chaotic ones. Jynx took a few moments to appreciate it before taking her vibroblade from her droid and resting it on her lap. She checked her energy shield and power cells levels before leaning back onto the seat, waiting to be dispatched.

This would have to due. The people she had gathered weren't her first choice, but they were the ones who had answered her little casting call and got the part. That wasn't to say they couldn't get the job done, she had just always approached every new person with suspicion and doubt. It was just the logical thing to do, never putting too much of your stock into untested newbies.

"Thirty seconds! Make sure you have oxygen! We're pretty high up and I don't need anyone getting altitude sickness!" Blonde yelled out to the mix of people and droid soldiers.

With the darkness of the cabin rumbling a bit more, Blonde pumped herself up a bit and made sure she was ready to go. Everything was in place from her weapons to her gear, all that was left to do now was begin the actual fight. Which she honestly despised, they were criminals and not soldiers. This was work for droid's and hired muscle, not the subtle hand of the underworld that slowly choked the life out of enemies through attrition and displacement. But with an item this important she had to be on the ground herself.

"Five, Four, Three, Two, One!" With the time coming to an end there was a heavy thud of the ship hitting some of ground.

The door opened to reveal the light of day and the spears of plasma that came through the drop-ship's door. A few of her droid soldiers took the blows and fell over destroyed. Blonde on the other hand used her small size to squeeze through the carnage and get outside.

The scene was almost masterful in its setting. Atop a massive plateau high in the clouds, droid soldiers and facility guards exchanged different shades of plasma. They had landed in a courtyard of some kind and the other ships that had dropped down were swiftly depositing more droids to overpower the guards who were posted at a checkpoint. Twin machine gun posts were mounted between a blast door that lead into the facility, and tattooed on that door was some form of strange imperial symbol unlike those that were prevalent in today's time.

"I want in that facility! Make it happen!" Blonde shouted out as she took cover behind a stone bench.

[member="Nate the Bounty Hunter"] [member="John Trenway"] [member="Benjamin Atlas"] [member="Jynx"]

"Let's get 'em, lads!"

The ramp door opened, and all hell broke loose. Shots flew and and scattered to pieces a few of the battle droids that [member="Miss Blonde"] had brought along. It didn't bother the pirate none, and he bolted forward, faster than one would think a man of his size would be able to. John sent several shots from the pistol attachment on his right arm, which found their mark on a pair of unlucky guards. He then dived behind the same cover that his employer had taken refuge in, the same stone bench. Bolts of pure energy flew overhead, one nearly taking the cyborg's hat.

"By the devil!"

Carefully peering from behind cover, Long John saw the dual machine gun turrets doing quite a number on the mechanical forces. Behind them was a symbol that the pirate had only seen in salvage yards and wreckage of battles fought millennia ago. The nature of it eluded the simple man, but he wasn't being paid to gaggle around and inquire about trappings long forgotten to time. With a mental command, Trenway switched his blaster attachment on his metal arm to his plasma cannon, poked out of cover, and aimed.

A ball of pure green energy flew forward, the noise of it almost drowning out the entirety of the battlefield. The plasma hit one of the turrets, sending up a large plume of fire as the shrapnel from the explosion quite literally scattered the guards posted around it. It would take about five minutes for the weapon to recharge, but the damage had been done. With the clicking of servos and gears, John's arm flipped about, pistol once again in use. He began to pick off the few guards out of cover from the confines of the stone bench. Those who were exposed quickly met their maker at the steely clutches of Long John Trenway.

LOCATION: O'REEN
EQUIPMENT: IN BIO
CURRENT MOOD: KINDA LIKE A METEOR
Ghorua didn't like [member="Miss Blonde"] all that much. This was a fact he didn't pretend to hide. To be fair, he liked her slightly more than the average crime lord, and perhaps that was a feat, but all crime lords shared qualities that rubbed Ghorua the wrong way.

Greed was one of them. Coincidentally, this emotion harnessed by crime bosses everywhere was what put food on his daughter's table.

That didn't mean he had to like them.

Or be anywhere near them, for that matter.

On the surface of O'breen, one might be able to detect a small smudge in the sky. This small smudge grew with the passing of time, until the contours of an escape pod were visible over the compound. Blonde's dropships, carrying their payloads of droids and mercenaries, quickly landed, their squads beginning the battle. This let the small pod approach with surprisingly little resistance.

Once the escape pod was directly over the facility, reverse thrusters engaged, slowing it's descent. Then...

The pod was literally ripped open from the inside.

Ghorua the Shark tore his way through the tough durasteel of the pod, falling fifteen meters, and landing with a roll on the ground. He wore his stunning white armor, and carried a slugthrower in each hand, prepped and ready to fire. With not a word, the Shark began pumping his triggers, releasing a spray of slugs at anyone deemed an enemy. Instead of ripping through their targets, the bullets pattered against armor and walls, releasing plumes of knockout gas.

The Shark had been itching for a fight.

Despite the fact that landing onto a open space that had multiple machine guns aimed directly at you, he did it anyway. Not bothering with the cumber some but highly effective armor none other than his current employer provided, he sat at the back of the transport with his light plastoid plating over his chest, legs, etc. Or course, it was all over his black fatigues, his signature look recently.

Lucky for Blondie, he was pretty damned good solider. As to which he was sure she already knew, but if not, he would end up showing her again anyhow. As the escape pod was torn to shreds by [member="Ghorua the Shark"] outside of his drop ship, he smiled, looking out the veiwport at the monstrosity wreaking havoc around him. Good, that meant he for sure be on demo again.

Smashing the release, the port side door of his ship flew open, as the mans stepped down, his cloak swirling about. This time, he did have a weapon at least, two to be exact. Slipping the pistol out of its holster, he put a bolt through a man's head in front of him, eyeing the door quizzically. Unlike last time this one was protected, by machine guns. Fortunate for him, they were preoccupied.

Moving through the exchange of blaster bolts, the large man walked past the defenses apparently unnoticed, contemplating his options. "Might as well." Moving his hand to his waist, he pulled his single saber from his belt, igniting the purple blade. Stepping forward, he plunged the blade into the door, the metal turning orange with the heat. Using his weight, the man quickly made a entrance hopefully large enough for everyone else to fit through. It was then fate decided to give him a kick to the balls.

After the first turret blew up, the few surviving guards moved to the second one. And guess who the saw cutting up the door? Nearly completing the large circle he had cut, a guard behind him put a shot through the back of his leg. Cursing loudly, the man fell to one knee, reaching up to return fire, another big mistake. Then all the nearby guards were alerted to his whereabouts they too opening fire on the already pinned man. Another shot hit him square in the shoulder as the previous wound was slowly closing, the nanobots now spreading, working slower. "For Feth's sake! Damn!" Turning to the left, he blasted back, the pain from both wounds only making him angry.

Out of either bravery or stupidity, a guard rushed him, close enough to be touched. Hand snapping out, both wounds fully healed, he growled, pulling the man in front of his chest as a personal shield, returning fire over the now dead mans shoulder. After kicking the body away from him he dispatched the last two men, moving back to get his saber and finish breaching the door.

A pod trailed close behind its owner’s, the Shark. Inside was a rather large, seven foot six tall, nine-hundred-pound android. Certainly, not as large as the Shark, few were, but still bigger than most. The form inside went by Squid, but the single body was deceiving. Inside the android wasn’t one, not two, not even three AI’s, but four: Spanner (intellectual and curious), Core (Courageous and tactical), Spark (goofy wisecracker), and Hammer (aggressive and deadpan). Each with a different personality, each uncomfortably sharing the same body due to a mishap when he was stolen from the lab he’d been built.

The Squid was the Shark’s newly acquired android bounty hunter sidekick. And collectively, he was dying for some action and adventure.

The pod slammed into the ground moments after the Shark tore through his own. The large android inside, currently being controlled by Hammer, the most aggressive AI, burst through his pod and flew from the crater. Still spinning in the air, he grabbed the two large assault blasters clipped to his back. Landing with a thump next to the Shark, the Squid let loose a flurry towered the armed targets in the distance. His weapons didn’t do anything fancy like the Shark’s, they only caused ‘exploding head syndrome’ and, ‘did you always have that large whole in your torso?’, disease. By the looks of it, both seemed to be highly contagious at the moment.

“Finally!” Hammer yelled above the battle towered the Shark. “After all that time waiting, I was worried when you said we’d be getting some action you’d meant a tea party or something. I'm sorry for ever doubting you.”

Jynx ducked under the plasma fire whizzing past her head with the sky taking different shades of colours above. She checked above her cover for the enemies. Too far. There was no way she was getting close without getting her shield depleted and turned into cheap underworld cheese.
Weighing up all her options, she eventually found herself delaying the inevitable. Jynx took a good look at the security uniforms of the guards and made sure that nobody could spot her lying between the cover and her droid, be it ally or enemy.

Her current clothing began to morph into something similarly shaped as that on the facility guards. First in shape, then in colour. By the time she was done Jynx had lost track of time. There was a huge familiarly shaped alien in a white suit now wreaking havoc on the battlefield and somebody was trying to cut through the door with what seemed to be a lightsaber.

Letting out a heavy sigh she slowly picked herself off the ground and started running towards the group of security guards as if she were one of their own.
"I've been disarmed. Somebody please lend me a weapon." She spoke the lines as if out of breath.
The group were behind some stone cover firing over. The fellow who seemed to be a captain of some sort threw her a pistol without a word and continued shooting at the mercenaries and droids.
They were so focused on the battle that nobody had turned around.

Jynx rotated the pistol around eyeing it.
"Wait a minute is that a vibro-" he finally noticed. Jynx moved in a flash, drawing her blade and moving it through one man after the next. Like a dancer trailing behind red ribbons. After what only seemed to be a breath, the bodies of five men littered the ground nearby and Jynx leveled her blade at the captain's throat. He looked anything but confused, rather he faced her quite calmly.
"I've orders to spare those surrendering. You seem a decent fellow. I hate to kill you."
He raised his hands in reply. Jynx sighed in relief as she turned around, too many times has she spoken the same line to be stabbed in the back soon after.
Still, she waited, and at the sound of a blade being drawn from its sheath behind her, she spun around with her foot crushing his head onto the stone cover.

"Why do I even try" she sighed.

Miss Blonde

Trying to be straight in a crooked Galaxy
"$&@#, Dude. You think you got them?" Blonde said sarcastically to Long John who had blown up the first turret with brutal efficiency.

Well she could certainly check him off and put him on the list of people to work with again. But regardless of that, it seemed that with both turrets down thanks to the combined efforts of Nate and John, they could proceed. The other hired hands and droids took out the majority of outside guards in this section, so that meant they could continue onwards to get into this facility before reinforcements came a knocking.

So with Nate hard at work, Blonde stood up and casually made her way towards the blast door stepping over destroyed droids and bodies as she did so. By the looks of her she was a seasoned pro at avoiding stepping in what was left of someone's face, the viscera and gore didn't seem to phase her much. Then again she was one of the most fearsome crime lords in the Galaxy so that always helped.

"Alrighty then, let's get this door open." With Nate already working on it with his blade she would be the pressure to crack the lock.

Extending out her hand, the force flowed through her and with a bit of effort and concentration the entrance in creaked and cracked until it forcefully slid open to reveal an almost purely white hallway adorned with similar fixtures. As if there wasn't any other shade within the eerily painted absence of color that was the creepy hallway.

"Well that's odd." Blonde said aloud as she stared at the strange hallway.

Straightening her necktie, the woman looked at her assorted hive of scum and villainy and smiled beneath her metal mask. God she loved her job.

"Alright boys and girls, and or gender neutral robots. There's bound to be plenty of guards in there. So do the voodoo you do so well. But!" Blonde raised her finger to emphasize what was going to come next.

"Inside you will find two men. One whose the head of R&D, and another whose the leader of the local guard. Koyama whose the egghead, and Taka who I'm sure you can figure out by process of elimination. I need their eyes and hands to open a very specific door. Now note what I just said, I need eyes and hands, not the men themselves. So if they try to be heroes, well..." Blonde lowered her hand and spoke her next two words in a very sinister tone.

"Get creative." And just like that her voice then shifted back to upbeat as she pointed over one of her droids.

"Cue the music!" and the droid did so.

Arctorius's dropship had been the last one to hit the ground, there was also the problem that it was built fir a regular sized being. Not one who reached almost eight feet, as such when he finally got out, the battle was over. A shame really, Arctorius would have liked a little warm up. But now he had a job to do, he walked steadily forward in the direction [member="Miss Blonde"] had indicated and grabbed the seams of the doors steadily prying them open. Though a few blaster bolt hit him, they richocheted off his armor. But they still hurt, and Arctorius channled that pain into his sheathed blade, he would use that pain later. Once the door was open, Arctorius drew his sword, the nigh two meter long blade was bigger than some of the guards. And Arctorius wielded it to great effect, he pressed a button on the alchemised beskar blade's hilt that enveloped the normal beskar blade with a blackplasma one, he dispatched of several guards with ease. Sometimes it was nice not to be a tiny normal human, instead to be a Spintiri, his massive near human race dwarfed almkst all normal humans, and as such combat came easy. Even when reinforcments arrived. Soon, with the help of trenway, the guards were dead, only a single man was left huddling in the corner. Arctorius walked over, "Where is the captain of the guard?" Arctoius asked. "I don't know." was the man's response, and they would be his final words. For the man was slammwd into the wall, a blaster dropping from his grip as he clawed at his throat as his windpipe slowly collapsed, evntually with a sickening crunching sound, the man dropped to the ground, Force choked by Arctorius. He hated uncompetance, "Useless." He stated, his voice proved him to be organic despite his size. This was a minor setback, but one they would doubtless overcome.

(OOC: The music has me dying)

The door was open in front of them now, revealing a hallway that was pure white. White halls, white fixtures, white everything. It baffled Long John on why someone would put up such a plain color that was bound to reveal any imperfection with ease. By the devil, he was thinking like his wife now. With a bow and the tipping of his hat, the pirate grinned and spoke to his employer.

"You will expect nothing but the most professional of work from ol' Long John, madam! Now, to me dooty."

Click, clack. The servos and gears on his arm whined going through a familiar pattern as Trenway's steel hand flipped into his metal forearm and produced a nasty-looking cutlass. Behind him were an assortment of battle droids and his fellow coworkers. One of them was what appeared to be some sort of sea monster, straight from the bowels of the ocean itself. Two of them looked hardly older than young adults, fresh from the cusp of childhood, but John wasn't one to judge. If they were on this job, thy more than likely could take care of themselves in a brawl. A droid made itself prominent amongst the other machines simply by how huge it was. Trenway was glad that bucket of bolts was on their side. He cast a wary glance at one of his fellow scallywags, who was holding a purple lightsabre. This had been the first time in a long time the seasoned pirate had seen that particular weapon, and it always kept him wary.

It was, after all, the same type of blade that had taken his arm and leg from him.

Ignoring the thoughts of that night, John stepped forward, leading the way into the facility, and went into the first door on his right to begin searching for the two targets. All he found in what appeared to be a break room was a single guard, who attempted to ambush the pirate. He didn't have time to pull the trigger before Trenway's blade cut through him, staining the white floor red. Other than the corpse in the room, nothing else stood out. Long John went on back to the hallway and prepared to scour the facility in search of the scientist and the cap'n of the guard...

Benjamin sighed as the smoke cleared, the sound of blaster fire had finally died down. The teen exited the pod and looked around the once live battlefield. The area was littered with dead guards and destroyed droids, Benji smiled.

"They did a great job out here..." The Rapax would comment aloud as he stepped over the bodies. Off ahead, smoke rose the turrets were definitely destroyed. The pale boy made his way towards the rest of the ground who were just entering the compound. As he got closer he'd stuff his hands into his pockets. He had arrived just as his employer opened the door revealing a white hallway. Miss Blonde apparently thought it strange. He walked to the group in a nonchalant manor, no doubt they'd be wondering where the hell he was, but he didn't care. Miss Blonde said they were looking for two people and that resistance was bound to be heavy in the facility.

The Rapax let out a sigh, he was itching for a fight. Boss mentioned that they needed the hands and eyes of each man. This made him perk up. Creativity was his forte. He watched as the pirate marched forward.

The pale assassin smiled. He stepped into the white hallway and began to follow the pirate silently. He didn't want to show his cards just yet. He figured it would be better to wait for a better moment, no need to waste stamina.

Jynx broke off into a sprint with her droid tailing behind. With the way most of this mercenary-types thought, they all had probably taken Miss Blonde's last line as some incentive for dismemberment. Which was why Jynx was determined to find the R&D fellow first. There was no chance of she alone finding both of them and an egghead like him was a valuable asset easily worth more than his biometrics.

She ran past many identical rooms and hallways, trying to reach the section where their offices would be held. Chances were that even in situations such as these, they would be attempting to secure their most valuable assets aside from whatever needed their eyes to access. And the most common place where said assets would be found were their offices. At worst she'd have obtained most of their intellectual assets and the egghead would be eyeless and handless. And at best she'd have most of their intellectual assets and a bigwig scientist to sell to the highest bidder.

He had started moving as soon as he heard who they needed. Reaching out with the Force he called for the two, their mixed emotions crying back out to him. Moving through the white hallways his eyes remained forward, the scorched fabric on his shoulder and leg still smoking as his long strides pulled him around a corner.

Right into the barrel of another Flak gun. Visibly sighing, the man ducked as the stream of plasma bolts flew past, tearing the wall to shreds. Huh, good thing that wasn't me. Having only a split second to act he pulled a knife from his belt, hurling it over the blast shield and hopefully into whom ever trained those crosshairs on him. Hearing a gurgled cry of pain, he assumed he managed to hit the guard in the throat with that lucky throw.

Jumping up, he stepped around the widening pool of blood, making sure to free his knife from the mans neck, wiping the excess bodily fluids off. "Sorry man," Continuing down the hallway, his eyes came to rest on a few more guards, these ones all blocking what appeared to be the room his target was in. Bingo.

Dan had remained silent through out the entire drop and earlier explanation. he had been to busy thinking of all the ways he could spen the money he would get from this, and preparin his blasters. when he landed, he oppened up with his twin pistols on all combatants, ignoring the chaos around him. he reached a flak gun, shooting the gunner and turning it on the battle feild, terring a hole in the facility, but remaining effedtive. when he was taking to much fire, Dan leptout, rolling as he went, and ran into the pirate. "how you doin?" Dan asked as hew kept pace, keeping an eye out for any and all combatants, while setting one pistol to stun, and making a mental note of which one it was, for the noncombatants

Standing back and waiting for her employees to go and find said targets, Blonde simply let herself jam out to the tunes that the droid near her was playing on it's speakers. There was still plenty of carnage going on and with Jynx and Nate taking point on finding Koyama and Taka she could afford to just relax and let her hired hands handle the destruction part of the game.

Having split down to separate halls to find their catch, Blonde and the others still had to deal with the main corridor. And as to be expected they were bringing out the big guns to crush the enemy early on in the conflict. So coming down the halls like a bat out of hell were Stormtroopers, only they looked a lot different from the average one you'd normally see from the First Order or Remnant. These looked a lot more noble in nature, as if they belonged on Atrisia rather than some backwater world like O'reen. And while Blonde knew exactly what was going on, she didn't bother to tell her men what the deal was. She didn't want to spoil the surprise.

"Kill them all!" Blonde yelled out to her droids and hired mercenaries.

With an engaging party of about twenty troopers the hallway descended into a firefight of utter chaos. They'd have to take these gents out or at the very least hold them off while her men ran through the facility to get what she needed to bypass biometric locking systems. She had more than enough faith in Nate, however she was wary over the new girl Jynx who had yet to prove herself to anyone. Perhaps if she exceeded her expectations she'd offer her a position within her little band of thieves and killers.

The hallway took a sharp turn ahead and suddenly it didn't sound so alone anymore. Most of the troops seemed to have been expended in the outside battle but it seemed that a number still remained inside. Jynx activated the droids lifeform sensor: it indicated 4 in the rooms ahead. Whatever they were doing, clearly they didn't want to draw any attention. A voice came from the room ahead.
"Make sure they don't come in... Now, normally I'd threaten to fire you all if you failed, but in this case, we'd all be dead anyways." a nervous laugh followed. Was he one of the two she was looking for?

Jynx peeked around the corner to see a trooper quickly disappear into the cubicles of the office wing. The rest of them also seemed to be out of view, hidden amongst the cubicles. She glimpsed the trooper carrying a sword and bow. One of which, would be useless in this maze of cubicles.

Ordering her droid to stay on this side of the wall, Jynx drew her blade and cautiously rounded the first corner...

"Stop." so much for caution, "State your purpose or I will take action." the voice was distorted. She realised the reason that he hadn't immediately tried to skewer her was probably because of her uniform. Still, he was probably eyeing her sword under that helmet.
"They're using some sort of gas. We have to get out of here, please." her voice was shaking, like a professional out of their depth or a nervous trainee. Either way it would paint an image of weakness.

The trooper seemed to have paused for a moment, contemplating whether to trust her. Still he was curious,
"Where did you get that mask. It's not standard issue" he began to draw his sword, "nor is that blad-" his voice was interrupted by her droid, filled to the brim with weaponry, slamming into him and impacting the nearest wall. She heard at least a dozen bones crack.
"I'm not sure if I should thank you or send you off to be wiped for disobeying orders. Frankly, we've got bigger problems to worry about. With any chance, the rest of them would've heard that."

She inspected the body, noting weapon length and removing his helmet to briefly put it on. The comms were dead silent. They'd already suspected she would've listened in. Looks like we're dealing with some real professions this time. These weren't some street muscle she could mindlessly hack through. She'd have to be extremely cautious around them from now on. The next two won't be surprised so easily.

She checked her droid, and exchanged her current blade for a much larger one. "Stay here this time or I really will get you dismantled" The longer sword was to extend her reach advantage against the already short swords they were carrying.
Continuing on, she eventually heard a set of armoured footsteps. Ducking into a cubicle she waited for it to pass. Now peeking out she saw their back to her. There was no way to access the head from behind due to the helmet shroud but this was the only way to gain the element of surprise.

She came closer until she was in distance and lept into a kick into the back of his right knee. As his body dropped to a knee he spun around catching her with an arm, sending her slamming into the next wall. She dropped her sword and after scrambling to grab hold of it she turned around to find herself facing her foe tip to tip.
Both stood there silently. He's stalling for his friend... She was at the disadvantage here.

She considered his thought process, contemplating her attack patterns and countering. He only had one advantage to utilize: the shorter sword would provide better leverage in a bind which he could use to close distance. Knowing that she began twirling the large blade in tight verticle cycles as the trooper watched unfazed. At the peak of a circle she turned it into a verticle strike - perfectly predictable. The trooper immmediately moved forward, thrusting with his blade at an angle.

As the blades made contact, his was pushing hers out of the way and getting closer to skewering her. Whilst this happened, she had moved one of her hands onto the blade itself forming contact. She allowed him to continue on his current path, rotating her blade with her hands and using the point of contact with his as a fulcrum.
Her hilt rotated across and into the approaching trooper's helmet as his sword was guided by hers harmlessly past. Jynx wasn't done. Reversing the action onto the stunned trooper, this time her blade made it's way into the gap of his neck and out the other side. As the body slumped and the head rolled she turned to see the last trooper watching across a distance.
One left.
