Homeland Security Bot from Elysium

Intent: To provide the Arcian Star Kingdom, a subfaction of the Lords of the Fringe, and the open market with a capable, efficient law enforcement and general purpose security droid with combat skills rivaling that of a battle droid.
Development Thread: N/A
Manufacturer: Lussk Logistics (Design and Manufacturing), Iron Crown Armories (Manufacturing)
Model: Ultimus-class
Affiliation: Lords of the Fringe (Arcian Star Kingdom), Lussk Logistics Customers
Modularity: Limited - Programming tasks or objectives, weaponry can also be switched out
Production: Minor
Material: Durasteel, Plasteel, Plastoid
Description:

The Ultimus-class was manufactured and designed by Lussk Logistics to uphold its namesake by being the ultimate. Though a security droid in nature, the programming done by Lussk Logistics programmers using breakthroughs from their recent creation of the AXIOS Articial Intelligence System to use in making the droid brains for these droids. Because of this programming breakthrough, the Ultimus-class was given additional combat programming to assist when stationed aboard Fringe service vessels or at population centers.

Though combat protocol was in its system, its top priority was security and law enforcement. When not in situations deemed necessary, all Ultimus-class models acted with Non-Lethal weaponry to subdue unruly citizens. The Ultimus-class used visual scanners in their photorecptors to identify citizens and non-citizens using a secure network to their base of operations that held a database of citizenry information. The Ultimus-class would then be able to access all criminal background information and any suspicious information. They act as organic law enforcement would, only utilizing lethal force when authorized by their commander.

The structure of the droid was composed of durasteel, plasteel, and plastoid. These materials were often used in the creation of body armor and the hulls of starships, so they were layered in the same way. Plasteel coverings made up the internal components of the droid whilst durasteel and plastoid layering on the outer areas reinforced its frame when in a hostile situation. To stay in touch with command, they carried an internal wireless control unit that allowed the command center to assign orders and communicate. Because of many electronic components, the Ultimus-class housed two rechargeable 30V lithium ion batteries. Working on these batteries allowed the droid unit to operate under security protocol for 8 hours whilst combat protocol only gave it 4 hours. These power units are settled on the back of the droid near the small of its back.

Built durable with an emphasis on law enforcement and security functions, the Ultimus-class hit the markets hard. They often presented a large target in many occasions and are extremely vulnerable to electromagnetic pulses. This will disable the droid entirely and will need to be taken back to its command base to be refitted with new batteries and reboot its main processors. Their combat skills aren't top-notch, but they are close in standards to normal battle droid units, able to hold off organics or battle droids in many situations when numbers are on their side.

As the AXIOS system is minor production I'd prefer you edit the production of this down to minor as well, or remove mention of improving AI through this method, or show a dev thread where the data was converted from ship to droid form. I'd like some further clarification on how it has access to "Criminal background information" and how much of it it has access to. I'd also like that running speed put way down. The fastest human mile time is 3:43 minutes, which if put at a constant pace is a bit over 28 km/h. As a human shaped droid that walks bipedally and weighs 190 kilograms it should touch that kind of speed. Even though it's a droid this is basically a mass produced olympic sprinter the size of a sumo wrestler. Finally I'd like an analysis of how much damage this thing can take.

Dropped to Minor. Running speed dropped down. As for the combat durability of these, I'd place them at slightly less than a B2 Super Battle Droid. They're capable of taking a few stray blaster bolts, but will drop like a sack of potatoes if a critical hit is got off at their rear or at the joints.

I still need the running speed dropped a bit. Let's put it at . . . 18-22 kph. That's still plenty fast, but not Olympian fast. I also still need clarifications on these statements

Particularly how it access this information and how much it can access.

Running Speed dropped.

As for the citizenry database, the visual scanners are able to identify Arcian Star Kingdom and Lord of the Fringe registered citizens through visual contact and the DNA analysis via fingerprints or hair samples. These scanners allow them to access the following:
  • Name
  • Age
  • Gender
  • Species
  • Homeworld
  • Criminal Records

Is this uploaded to the droids wirelessly or through a hard upload akin to their charging? How much of said database due they have at any given moment? How long does the upload take?

The upload happens via wireless secured connection. The connection is strongest when near their area of operations, though the further the unit is away from the central post, the less data they can receive.
