Witch Hunter: Perhaps out of superstition, Ulrich holds a hatred for most who use the Dark Side. Given the chance, he would actively try to slay beings like the Sith or the so-called Knights of Ren. Yet, he has something of a respect for the amount of discipline the Jedi have.
PERSONALITY
Ulrich has a duality to him. To most, he comes off as jovial and friendly, if not someone who lends himself to exaggeration in his stories. Yet, at other times, he can have a grimness about him that is as cold as Werda's ice. To his enemies, he is like a bear who has been flung into a rage.
BIOGRAPHY
Many decades ago, space travel was very new to the icy world of Midvinter. Its inhabitants, the Valkyri, had only begun to expand its influence to the stars. Such was the case of Ulrich's mother, a woman only known as Bryhildr Rothgarsdottir, was among the first of her people to explore beyond the system of her world. She was an adventurer and mercenary, inspired by the warrior-heroes of her world's olden tales. In her travels she met Arik Saxon, whom she fell in love with and eventually married. From them was born Ulrich, named after his great-grandfather.
Ulrich was raised in an enriched childhood, being shaped by the infusion of the Resol'nare and the honor-codes so held dear by his mother's people. Similarly inspired by the tall tales of Valkyri sagas, Ulrich aspired to attain glory as a warrior. As a young man, he was reckless and foolhardy, often seeking to grab the spotlight where he could. That was until he first had his encounter with the Dark Side. As a mercenary, he had been sent to apprehend a Dathomiri Witch who had caused trouble for his client. Due to his foolhardiness, nearly all of his team was slaughtered and resulted in the loss of his left eye.
Following this sobering experience, Ulrich began to clean up his act. While still having his jovial personality, he slowly began to realize that glory was not all that mattered in this life. Soon, duty became his calling. Duty to his family, and duty to his Mand'alor. Years passed, with Ulrich fighting here and there when Mand'alor called, eventually succeeding his father as the Alor of Clan Saxon. At present, he takes a role as a mentor to the younger Mandalorians, offering apprenticeship in his clan's fortess on the frozen world of Werda.
