  • Intent: To create a cheap, powerful substitute for Baradium
  • Canon Link: N/A
  • Permissions: N/A
  • Primary Source: Baradium
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Manufacturer: Sword Herald Special Purpose Enterprises
  • Affiliation: Sword Herald Special Purpose Enterprises
  • Market Status: Closed Market
  • Model: N/A
  • Modularity: Yes (Can be doped with radiation particles to become the basis for Radiation based explosives, can be loaded in its default state in to various explosive casings, solid ammunition, rockets or missiles
  • Production: Mass Produced
  • Material: Fire Spitter Bio Matter, Plastic Explosive, Depleted Uranium
PHYSICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Explosive Compound
  • Weight: Heavy
  • Color: Gray
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Baradium substitute that is safer to wield, transport, and store than actual Baradium... impossible to set off without an electrical charge directly applied to it.
  • More potential energy. One pinky finger tip-sized amount is comparable to 1.5 times the Amount of Baradium used in a single Class A Thermal Detonator
  • Can be used in Detonators, Rockets, Det Packs, artillery and ammunition
STRENGTHS
  • Safe Storage: It is incredibly stable despite it's terrible power...it can store and won't degrade in moist, damp or cold conditions, nor will it disintegrate or come apart if left in water. It's is also much safer to handle and transport
  • Modularity: Can be put in Thermal Detonators as a Replacement for Baradium, used in Det Packs, mines, rocked and solid ammo. Can be molded and shaped.
  • Substitute: Provides a powerful fusion explosive substitute for Baradium, and can serve as the basis for fission based Weaponry, mimicking it's effects, such as complete termination of effect after maximum blast radius has been reached
WEAKNESSES
  • Compatibility issues: Cannot be combined with Collapsium, and thus cannot be used to create Seismic Charges
  • Ion: Exposure to a heavily ionized atmosphere or ion weapons without the proper protective casing is one of the few things that can heavily degrade and render it severely weakened in terms of potency
  • Electrical Discharge: Though it can normally only be set off by an electrical pulse applied directly to its surface, overwhelming electrical discharge in theory could cause it to detonate prematurely
  • Over Powered: Unfortunately, due to certain problems with it's Molecular composition, it is impossible to create a mechanism that can decrease the yield of a given amount used. In other words, if you used a pinky finger tip sized amount that has the strength and accompanying blast radius of 1.5 times what is used in a single Class A Thermal Detonator, it will always have that yield and blast radius. This can be an immense problem as designers must be extremely careful in their measurements of just how much of this stuff they put into certain weapons, lest they accidentally create a grenade or rocket or artillery shell with a blast radius it's source cannot outrun. Shipments are heavily regulated and guarded, and Soldiers are forbidden from having Detonators or rockets that can take more than a pinky finger tip of this stuff, and are forbidden to load det packs with more than three pinky finger tips worth of the substance. Slug thrower ammo is forbidden from having more than half a grain of Sand's worth in their tips
  • Heavy: Due to its manufacturing process, it's quite dense, and even samples the size of a pinky finger tip weigh 4 kilo, limiting how much can be carried by an average soldier, despite it's mass production status, and making even a double stacked clips worth of ammo feel like lugging a pair of bricks. This often limits the ammunition designed to fit it into sniper or rifle ammo, and then only when propelled via electromagnetic Force as any bullet fired in another manner will experience severe drop otherwise
DESCRIPTION

Type 1 Explosives--Sick of paying up the nose for Baradium? Rest assured, so were we!

--Sales Pitch

Type 1 Explosive Compound is Sword Herald's answer to Baradium, capable of acting as an effective fission based weapon substitute. Created by taking the weaponized biomaterials from a Vong weapon, plasticizers, and depleted Uranium, and slowly, carefully breaking down and reforming it's Molecular components into each other in the same sort of process to create Molecularly bonded armor via Molecular Furnaces, and condensing them together, the result is an immensely powerful and dense compound that can be used in a variety of weapons, held back only by its weight and over powered yield in ultra short range baradium mimicking Thermonuclear fission, limiting it to very small amounts in combat for safety purposes. Developed to eliminate any dependence on Baradium for House Io. Select clients and partner states can also reap the benefits of this Specialized Compound.

Issues...mainly on weight and size.

You mention that a pea sized amount is the equivalent of three Thermal Detonators. That is not fine however, you made mention of that a pea size will weight two kilos. That is four and a half pounds, something anyone can lug around. A finger probably be twenty pounds and destroy half a hanger bay.

Here is the suggestion I ask to consider as there are two options. The first is to reduce the explosive size to one and a half times with the explosive material to the size of ones pinky finger. The second suggestion if not taken to the first one is to make it Semi-Unique as this is an extremely powerful explosive. I will listen to any other suggestions but as it stands right now, I cannot approve it.

Let me know when you make changes or bounce back ideas.
