Tyluko's Log on OOM-7795

Entry 1:

Well today Iris and I finally had a chance to return to Mon Cala and to the crashed ship where I was kept in stasis for so long. It was...strange being back there and seeing that stasis pod again; the same pod that not only saved my life, but also imprisoned me for so very long. While it felt good to be back in the Ocean's of my homeworld, being in that ship made me feel somewhat numb, as if I was unable to think of nothing else but my past. The ship is hardly recognizable now, coral colonies have turned the ship into a giant reef, it actually looks rather beautiful. However on the inside it is a different story. Blaster scoring covers the walls, broken, deactivated and dismantled battle droids are littered across the floor; the same droids that patrolled these halls attempting to make sure I was transferred to wherever the transport was going. Anyways, I am getting off topic. After we had found the chamber with the pod, Iris had found a droid that was in relatively good condition. It was covered in blue markings and and had the unit designation of OOM-7795; I had also learned that this type of droid is a rare sight to see in this day and age and may very well be one of the last of its kind.....just like me. That is why I wish to have Iris reprogram him and reactivate him.

Entry 2:

We had succeeded in securing the items from my stasis pod and also brought the battle-droid back to the ship. I am very surprised by how well the droid has managed to stay together over the years, it is in superb shape. I don't know why I feel such a strong need to reactivate this droid, it's almost I feel some sort of connection with it. I guess the reason why is because he is sort of like me now, a relic from a time long forgotten; everything he had ever known was most likely gone. We are both lost, trying to find a new purpose, and I hope to give him that purpose with Iris's help. The ship is currently making its way back to Coruscant, and Iris is resting in the back. This trip must have been tough on her; I can't imagine what it must be like to be confined to a wheelchair, her ability to use her legs is now lost, she herself must feel lost. Well, the ship should be entering the Coruscant system soon, I must be going.

Entry 3:

We have now returned to Coruscant and have moved our findings from Mon Cala, including the droid into the house. Even though it was rather late I had a strong desire to get started right away on the droids repair and reactivation but Iris insisted that she was exhausted and I admit it has been a long day. I at least cleaned the droid of any grime or gunk so that it would at least look presentable. Iris then hooked up the droid to some machine that she claimed would help rid the droid of any "malware" whatever that is. Before we went to bed I discussed with Iris what had to be done to get the droid up and running. She told me we would need to add new combat programs into the droid's programing and also add a new knowledge/logistical system into the data banks. When I inquired as to why we had to do that, and could not simply reactivate the droid she responded by pulling out a holo disc. On that holodisk were a series of clips that showed B1-battle droids in battle. The clips showed that on their own these droids were practically useless in combat and would usually just attack by marching and blasting, hardly any strategy was used at all. She explained that they were designed to attack in large numbers so they became like a wall of endless blaster fire. I admit that we will have to give this droid some serious upgrades if we wish for it to be useful.

Entry 4:

Good news! Iris has just recently informed me that her cleansing process was almost complete. She explained that she needed to make sure it wasn't still loyal to the Confederacy of Independent systems and would rather be loyal to herself and I. She said that as soon as the cleansing process was complete she could start the upgrading process, however she explained that she would have to make a few purchases. When I questioned her as to what those purchases would be, she explained that she wanted to purchase a new logistic system and combat system to replace those of the outdated B-1 unit. She went on to the holopod and began to search; she eventually was able to contact an old acquaintance of hers. This "Acquaintance" was of a species that I did not really recognize. The alien was lean and slender with smooth, mottled green-gray skin and large, red-orange eyes with pupils that split horizontally. I later learned that the alien was known as a Neimoidian, and that they were once a powerful member of the Confederacy of Independent systems back in the Clone Wars. They provided the CIS with legions of battle droids including ones like ours, and they had grown incredibly wealthy. However they lost influence once the Galactic Empire took over... Oops look at me getting off topic again. Anyways this particular Neimoidian was an old slicer who had taught Iris a few tricks. He explained that he had recently come across an abandoned Separatist droid factory and was able to salvage parts and key design details. After him and Iris agreed on a deal, Iris explained that she had purchased the combat systems of a BX Commando droid and also the logistic circuit of a Tactical droid. I was growing excited each passing moment, I was intrigued by all of it. I will write some more once we get the parts.

Entry 5:

The parts should be arriving shortly and when they do, we should be able to make some major progress on finishing the droid. I had been meditating when Iris came in and told me that she had something important to show me. She said she had just finished backing up the memory of the droid and said she had come across some old video recordings of battles from the Clone Wars and other events witnessed by the droid. She said she thought I'd be interested in its combat history and of the things it has seen. I admit, I am extremely interested to learn more about these "Clone Wars", I may have been alive during that time but being trapped in a stasis pod does not allow for good perception of one's surroundings. Luckily the Force was able to grant me some level of clarity regarding the events. I have decided that I will watch these videos while Iris continues her work. I will write some more when I have done that.
