TRAINING TERRACE
SHIRAYA'S SANCTUARY GALLO MOUNTAINS NABOO
This had been, perhaps, a long time coming. With war on the horizon, and his future with Briana secured, it was beyond time for the Brentaalan Jedi Knight Vizion Trozky to take on a student, and the events of and around The Vanguard’s refounding made this even more pertinent.

He felt stuck in the middle with that. He was a responsible member of the High Council, engaged to a woman who’d sided with the Vanguard in defiance of that very Council... and he'd had to find that out from someone else. All of this was made worse still by all he had foreseen this past handful of years, and the uncertainty that brought. Amongst other uncertainties.

But he wasn’t going to let any of it interfere with doing his duty. He was plenty capable of shutting it all out — compartmentalising — to focus on what was in front of him, be it the work of the Council, other Jedi tasks, or giving his beloved his undivided attention. Or a padawan, like today.

Today he had arranged to meet the half-Valkyri padawan at the Training Terrace within Shiraya’s Sanctuary when the sun was somewhere above the horizon. Early enough that the Terrace would be only slightly occupied, but not too early. He awaited what was to come, sitting in seiza, in a not-so-deep meditation. His two lightsaber hilts, which spawned orange blades when ignited, hung from from his belt, the emitter collars dangling towards the floor.

He didn’t know how this would go, first meeting, or even after. Though he could think on the example of his former master and the man's wife, herself a Jedi, and use that to guide him, he also had his own experiences in the several years since his Knighting. And the concerns of the present galactic climate.

Even then, Vizion would have to see and figure out what he was working with, for what information he was given in advance could only say so much.

The morning air in the Gallo Mountains carried a coolness that never seemed to last long once the sun climbed higher. Sera walked the winding paths of Shiraya's Sanctuary at an easy pace, taking in the familiar beauty of Naboo as she made her way toward the Training Terrace. The distant sound of water, the rustling of leaves, and the quiet conversations of other Jedi moving through the grounds created a sense of peace that felt increasingly rare these days.

She had spent more time than necessary deciding what to wear.

Not because she expected anything formal, but because first impressions mattered. Eventually, practicality had won. A fitted training jacket, comfortable trousers, boots, and her lightsaber clipped at her belt. Simple. Functional. Exactly the sort of thing she could actually move in if today's meeting involved more than conversation.

The half-Valkyri stepped onto the terrace and immediately spotted the man waiting there. It wasn't difficult. Even seated in meditation, there was a stillness about him that naturally drew attention. She slowed slightly as she approached, giving him a moment to notice her arrival rather than barging directly into whatever thoughts occupied him.

For all her confidence, there was still a small knot of uncertainty in her stomach.

This was different from training sessions or occasional lessons. Different from learning alongside other students. This was someone who might become responsible for guiding a significant part of her future. The realization carried a weight she hadn't fully appreciated until she was standing here.

Sera stopped a respectful distance away and folded her hands behind her back.

"Master Trozky?" she asked, though she was fairly certain she already knew the answer. A small smile appeared a moment later. "Sera Dragovalor. I figured introducing myself was probably better than standing here awkwardly while you pretended not to notice I arrived."

The smile widened slightly.

"Though if this was secretly a test of patience, I may have already failed."
