SHIRAYA'S SANCTUARY ☛ GALLO MOUNTAINS ☛ NABOO
This had been, perhaps, a long time coming. With war on the horizon, and his future with Briana secured, it was beyond time for the Brentaalan Jedi Knight Vizion Trozky to take on a student, and the events of and around The Vanguard’s refounding made this even more pertinent. He felt stuck in the middle with that. He was a responsible member of the High Council, engaged to a woman who’d sided with the Vanguard in defiance of that very Council... and he'd had to find that out from someone else. All of this was made worse still by all he had foreseen this past handful of years, and the uncertainty that brought. Amongst other uncertainties.
But he wasn’t going to let any of it interfere with doing his duty. He was plenty capable of shutting it all out — compartmentalising — to focus on what was in front of him, be it the work of the Council, other Jedi tasks, or giving his beloved his undivided attention. Or a padawan, like today.
Today he had arranged to meet the half-Valkyri padawan at the Training Terrace within Shiraya’s Sanctuary when the sun was somewhere above the horizon. Early enough that the Terrace would be only slightly occupied, but not too early. He awaited what was to come, sitting in seiza, in a not-so-deep meditation. His two lightsaber hilts, which spawned orange blades when ignited, hung from from his belt, the emitter collars dangling towards the floor.
He didn’t know how this would go, first meeting, or even after. Though he could think on the example of his former master and the man's wife, herself a Jedi, and use that to guide him, he also had his own experiences in the several years since his Knighting. And the concerns of the present galactic climate.
Even then, Vizion would have to see and figure out what he was working with, for what information he was given in advance could only say so much.
