Darth Vulcanus
Better than other-other space Kaiden
The landscape of Kalee had changed drastically since the day that Krag had overthrown its pitiful government and established the galaxy's first Graug colony. The ground that once held sacred temples and cities had been excavated and now held giant pits that burrowed deep under the surface, where the Graug had set up large military complexes that twisted and turned throughout the crust of the planet. This was not all, for Krag had also begun the creation of large Graug cities on the surface that either built over or completely replaced what urban landscapes the Kaleesh had before his arrival. These Graug structures were much more menacing than the Kaleesh ones and that was to say the least. Unlike the very tribal look of the Kaleesh cities that seemed almost to blend with the landscape, the Graug cities cut into it like a razor. Where the Kaleesh buildings once flowed, the Graug buildings stormed. Where the Kaleesh buildings once complimented, the Graug buildings mutilated.
But that was the price a species would have to pay for their weakness. If you were not strong enough to protect your culture, than your culture deserved to be destroyed and forgotten. That, in Krag's mind, was the way that the galaxy should work and was the exact reason why the Jedi and their Republic would one day be swept away. It was also why Krag was currently working to strip the Kaleesh of their former identities as warriors, for they were not worthy of such a title, and replace it with the identity of slaves. Concentration and labor camps had been built across the vast jungles and death marches were used to punish those who rebelled. Those who worked, worked until they died and their bodies were used to feed those who could work longer before they eventually died. The Graug even went as far as creating camps specifically for breeding, where males and females were put together and forced to mate before the men were taken away to work and the females stayed to give birth. By now, most of those with the heart to rebel had been silenced and any thoughts of fighting back were quickly dealt with. The Gruag had become the overlords on Kalee.
This much was not nearly enough, however, as Krag found himself bored during his times not training or fighting for the Empire. Something needed to change and he knew exactly what that was, he needed to build an arena. This arena would serve as, not only his own source of personal amusement, but a place of punishment and festivities for the whole Empire. Already, Kaleesh death labor teams worked around the clock building the monument to Sith oppression out of stone and metal. Some war beasts were sent to help, just to speed things up and not to show mercy on the Kaleesh. Already, things were moving quite nicely and Krag even sent an invitation for the Emperor to come view it himself.
Now, Krag waited in his underground throne room for the Emperor of the Sith. The Throne room had been built close to the site of an active volcano so that some Kaleesh death labor teams could use some explosives and war beasts to divert the lava flow into Krag's chambers. Now the lava flowed into a crater behind and under Krag's throne which hung from sturdy chains in the ceiling that also held up the stone ramp leading to his seat.
Soon, Kaine would arrive.
