Twisted, Perpetual, Grace [Éar]

https://youtu.be/JsODzOCJFb0

A long-pointed finger caressed the stem of the wine glass, his gaze fixed on a point out the window but did not pay attention to the view. His mind reeling in anger and death unhinging it with thoughts of bloody deeds, murder. Lies, so many lies. His heart was tearing to shreds, his eyes filled with tears and glistened in the morning sun. Velkar was at his lowest point, for once in his life, in fact, the first time in his life, he was in despair. How could you do this? The events set in motion, events that could not be stopped, was about to play out and so many would suffer for it.

“So many lies!”, he screamed as he stood and threw the wine glass to the wall shuttering it into a million pieces and the red liquid running down the wall like blood. His palace had been emptied on his order, he did not want for company mostly fearing what his mood might produce if the wrong word was spoken, he was in no mind to trifle with the mundane.

His visit to the bowels of Hell, the meeting with the Grima had gone according to plan, save for one thing. With a snarl, Velkar turned his arm to see the mark on his skin, a bond mark that held him to her. For now, at least. He closed his eyes pushing back the rage in his heart, murder on his mind gave way to pain and suffering and he fell to his knees consumed with the weight of it. Helm would have his own misgivings, no doubt the things that would come to pass conflicting against his nature.

But not Velkar, he alone had the power to be able to see it through. He had too, or else all would be consumed. Was this His plan all along? Was this coming event some twisted test for them all?

Fine then, but on your head be it, father. You will not pass the blame to me, I will not allow it, not this time.

Velkar pulled himself off his knees, and stood resolved in his coming destiny, “One step at a time”, his mind shifting like water in the river. And a sense of calm came over him, “Sister?”, the shift in the ether told him of her approach.
