TECHNICAL INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Shield Generator: One of the main features of the TK droids are the Deflector Shield Generators that are integrated into their bodies, allowing them to not only protect themselves with the shield but to also create small domes or walls around themselves in order to defend nearby soldiers as well. The shield is fairly versatile and can be shifted around as needed, strengthened in areas of greater fire and weakened in others to compensate, but ultimately it is somewhat limited and can only be used in short bursts unless managed carefully.
  • Hound Brain: The Droid Brains installed into the droids possess an intelligence akin to the Tuk'ata hounds that their name is derived from. They are capable of following spoken orders, bonding with particular individuals as well as one another, and have a certain almost predatory nature when alone. This allows them to operate without the need for direct orders or commands in most instances, using instinct and combat experience as well as programming and simulations.
STRENGTHS
  • Shields Up: The Deflector Shield Generators offers the droids an enhanced defensive ability both for themselves and those around them, as it is capable of being deployed in a small area around themselves. While it may be limited in timeframe and power it is quite handy in a firefight with little to no cover and makes for a perfect alternative if personal shield generators are unavailable for the soldiers around them.
WEAKNESSES
  • Heavy Metal: Being filled with a fair bit of equipment and technology, the TK droids are rather hefty as a result. This means that in areas with soft ground they will often have to have some parts and components stripped off in order to allow them to actually walk in such environments. They are also not as maneuverable as one might expect despite being more than capable of keeping pace with even the quickest of soldiers, making them prone to falling over at high speeds or simply not turning quick enough to engage an enemy with their blaster cannon.
DESCRIPTION
Seeking to solve the common issue of infantry forces simply lacking in firepower when not supported by vehicles, the Tuk'ata Support Droid was put through several different iterations until the current model was decided upon as the most generally useful and capable. Featuring a shield generator and a respectable sensor and communication package, the droid is the perfect companion for every squad on the battlefield. Not to mention it's armaments which allow it to handle enemy infantry and even light vehicles with ease.

Named after the infamous "Sith Hounds", these droids are indeed suited as support for their soldiers. They can also operate independently of organic combatants, often grouped into "packs" of their own that make for excellent armored scouts as well as making them suitable for tasks such as intercepting convoys. Their armaments additionally make them good escorts in armored columns as they are able to engage both enemy infantry and light vehicles whilst heavier tanks or walkers face down fortifications or other heavy vehicles.
