Intent: To create a field application kit for the TTAA-C technology
Development Thread: N/A
Manufacturer: Tenloss Corporation
Model: TTAA-C-FK
Affiliation: Open Market
Modularity: None, one size fits most.
Production: Minor
Material: Armorplast, various metals, electrical wiring.
Description:

As the original TTAA-C required factory applications while in production, or for the vehicle in question to be sent back to the manufacturer to have it applied, the need for a field applicable kit was realized.

The TTAA-C-FK is a field kit for the TTAA-C armor applique that can be applied by the crew or the maintenance depot when or if needed. The kit is applied in much the same way as the original TTAA-C and functions exactly the same, though with some minor differences.

The applique is faster drying, meaning that those applying the material must work quickly and with minimal mistakes, meaning that there is little room for error. A mistake here can mean a weakpoint in the applique, reducing overall effectiveness. Also, the materials are of cheaper make and manufacture and, like the original applique, offer negligible protection. In fact, the material is more prone to wear and tear, making reapplications and patches more common over time than the factory application models. Lastly, the overall protectiveness of the Faraday Cage is less than that of the factory models. This is due to less quality materials and application, as most crews are given an instruction sheet rather than full training on how to apply the material properly.
