The world of New Alderaan, home to the heart of the Imperial Confederation, the beating, unrelenting muscle at the center of both government and military affairs. It was here that an empire rose and fell within less than two years. It was here that the Warden Primus had given her final speech to the masses, it was here that the light of the confederation was practically choked out by its own shadows. Underneath the shine, the glitter and the glory, the gutters were filled with rats and vermin, with dealers and beggers. The dark underbelly of the Imperial Confederation was being suppressed, stomped out by the security services and the local military detachments, by law and order, by the terror and dread lurking within the dredges of society.

A single entrance, a dark and cold door leading to what looked like a decrepit piece of the capital's underground, would give way to the massive sewer systems of the planet's main city, old and glorious in their hayday, they now showed their age, their redundancy and their darkness, the stain on the heart of the Imperial Confederation, for it was here that thousands of criminals, swindlers and thieves found their homes, their solace. The orders to sweep through them had finally come, the eastern cisterns had to be cleared up for a new construction project, which meant the rotten core of society had to be removed, cut off and burned like a tumor, desinfected like a diseased bodypart.

Soldiers and inquisitors had been sent to the place, but none returned, yet...there was a quiet, the ruckus of the blight, the noise of thousands of souls within this rotten core of society had been silenced, all since one of the most prominent Prefects within the COMECI had made a deal with the infamous Dealmaker. In a single day, the eastern cistens had gone silent, but this silence itself hung like a blanket over the sewer system, stiffling the credits running through them and the society which had been built. Ever since the day the eastern cisterns got cleared... new alderaan changed and with it, the underbelly got crueler, more careful and cautious, just as the Imperial Confederation had desired.

In the eastern cisterns, where life had simply vanished on the very day the deal had been struck with the mysterious Dealmaker, the silence would be palpable upon entry, as a shadow and the smell of iron would greet any who'd pass into this part of the ancient sewer system, the high rise walls, the elegant stonework and mosaics of more blissful times stained and their color washed away by the floods, the fumes and eventually just time itself. it was within this strange and hauntingly silent piece of New Alderaan, that only those with strength would be able to go...

CAPTAIN RONHAR TANE, TK-3301
NEW ALDERAAN
[REDACTED]

Ronhar still didn't know exactly why he had been summoned to New Alderaan, but considering his experiences with Imperial leadership, he doubted it was anything good.

The message had be cryptic, to say the least: an order to arrive to the planet for some combat training and medical testing. Not much else had arrived with it, though there was specific instructions to come alone, which worried Ronhar to no end. At the very least, they had asked and allowed him to bring his standard combat load with him: his Wampa-Pattern Industrial Exoskeleton and armor, his Mahporeem Acid Rifle, Model 216 "Big Game Hunter" and BG-D 6 "Outlaw", along with a number of Rhydonium Grenades and ABC Scramblers, Burnblade, his HNDA-Mk I and a variety of medical equipment.

Why in the name of the galaxy did Ronhar have to be so heavily armed upon arriving on the planet? That he did not know. Whatever this combat operation was, it was going to be intense, it was going to dangerous and it was going to be potentially deadly. No matter: Ronhar could handle anything that the Confederation might have to throw at him. At this point, he seriously doubted that there were any more surprises that he couldn't prepare himself for.

Ronhar made his way to the entrance of the facility: a rather spartan, nondescript looking entrance to what Ronhar could only describe as a sewer system. That didn't really surprise him in the slightest, as he was possible that the Imperial Confederation had hundreds, if not thousands, of hidden "black ops" sites scattered all across the galaxy, on worlds both friendly and hostile. What he had been surprised about was the fact that he still hadn't been told why he had been summoned here. There was no messenger, no droids, no terminals, nothing to indicate that he was in the right place.

It all made Ronhar very uneasy, if he was being honest. But good soldiers followed orders, and Ronhar was nothing if not a good solider. Holding his noise the best he could to try and keep out the smell, Ronhar ventured inside, every fiber of his being telling him to stop and escape the trap that was certainly laid out for him. But Ronhar pressed on regardless, fully prepared to slaughter whatever it was that the Confederation had left for him to fight down here.

Yet for the moment, everything remained quiet, only the slight drift of the wind and occasional sound of splashing water to keep him compnay. Whatever it was that the Confederation was planning, Ronhar hoped he found it soon. Of all the things he had planned for today, wandering around a dank and smelly sewer system was most definitely NOT one of them!
