True Hero

Kay-Larr

Sphaera Tea Company Owner
Kay couldn't help but stroke his back while [member="Marcus Ismet-Ku"] ate his biscuit, smiling while she studied his features, looking for which belonged to Brad and which belonged to [member="Jairdain"] . When he gets older it'll be easier to see.

"She's right. I'm your Gramma. And we'll have lots of fun together when you visit. We'll have sleepovers, exploring and play some games. Would you like that?" Not to mention there'll be treats. Oh it'll be fun to spoil the grandson.

She looked to Jairdain. "Where will you guys be living? On Commenor or elsewhere?" Oh she had plans for them...

Marcus Ismet-Ku

Hold on, let me over think this...
His mommy said the bisbut lady was his daddy’s mommy. That was a weird thought for the toddler to try and wrap his head around. He never thought about parents having parents before. Did that mean that the bisbut lady could tell his mommy what to do? Could she make mommy take a nap, even if she didn’t want to? That would be funny… Marcus giggled to himself from the very thought.

He wasn’t sure what a sleepova was, he didn’t really like the sound of it though, since, he hated taking naps and bedtime. But the rest of what bisbut lady said, about having fun, exploring, and playing games sounded great! So, maybe sleepovas were a good thing? Maybe she’d give him more bisbuts too.

“I don’t know who my daddy is,” he said to the bisbut lady, a bit sadly, “I never met him. I don’t think he wants to be my fwend.” Then a little more cheerfully, “But I like all dose things and want to be your fwend. But... I don’t know if I like sleepovas, I don’t like bedtime…”

The reception Marcus got wasn't at al surprising and this really pleased Jairdain. Smiling more to herself than either Kay or her son, both of them should be able to pick it up through the Force, but Kay would be able to see it in her body language. When she asked where they would be staying, she shrugged her shoulders slightly. For the past few years, Jairdain had homes scattered across the galaxy and Marcus had been kept secret with her. Not one to rely on others to care for her, his presence had mostly gone unnoticed.

"I am unsure right now. We've been staying mostly in the Unknown Regions and keeping away from the spotlight. This is Marcus' first time away from there."

There had been a time not too long ago, when she had left him in the care of others. Now though she had returned and would attempt to take full care of her son. She still felt right in keeping him secret from Brad, but time would tell if he even came back or cared to know his son. These thoughts seemed to carry across to Marcus and he gave voice to them.

"You will wish you could sleep any time you want at some point in your life. I'm just waiting for that day."

Saying this with a smile, there was a touch of sorrow on her now at the thought of Brad, Marcus and not knowing each other.

Kay looked down to [member="Marcus Ismet-Ku"] as he spoke up. In sone ways the two were similar. "My father doesn't want to be friends with me. He likes to pretend that I don't exist. But here, you'll always have friends." She gave him a little reassuring squeeze.

Her attention then turned to [member="Jairdain"] . "You're welcome to stay here. Doesn't have to be in the Palace. We can get your own place set up. Just let me talk to Veiere. And at any time you need to go and do something, we'll have Marcus looked after." Of course Kay didn't say it as an offer or a question, but moreso a statement of fact. They were family. And after being isolated from everyone during the occupation, she didn't want to be alone anymore.

It was a fear of Jairdain's that Brad would hurt or take Marcus away if he learned of Marcus. The Force guided her life and she felt there was a reason she hadn't known of the pregnancy before they separated. There was also the vision she had when they initially met. That also kept her from telling Brad of his son.

Smiling when Kay gave Marcus some sympathy and stated her own father wanted nothing to do with her, she had a bit of a bitter look cross her face. Her own family and people were dead and gone, she was the last of them. Perhaps there was a reason for it, but nothing came to her mind as to why.

When Kay spoke to her, she nodded and that bitter look went away. Giving her Queen a large smile, she knew that whatever was asked for would be provided. Knowing there would be a welcome here always, she just wanted to give both of them a hug.

"Thank you very much, Lady Kay. I am sure there will be times I have to go away. To know Marcus will be taken care of is a great relief."
