The MPAC Man-Portable Assault Cannon from Trigonus Industries is a battlefield solution for troops who may find themselves engaging armored vehicles, starfighters, or drop ships. With a range of 500 meters, the MPAC won't reach across an entire battlefield to take out enemy vehicles. However, it is perfect for taking out nearby walkers, speeder tanks, or starfighters conducting low-altitude strafing runs of ground units. The weapon is exceedingly powerful, and can often one-shot an opposing armored or shielded vehicle. This is fortunate, because it only has one shot, using a large powercell weighing 10 kilograms. The powercell is entirely expended when the weapon fires, and takes about 20 seconds to reload. It is a weapon whose first shot needs to count. Still, it is a godsend to platoons who would otherwise be at the mercy of heavy enemy vehicles. The MPAC is manufactured exclusively for the Diarchy.
