DESCRIPTION
The Trigonus 'Far Trader' Medium Freighter (Model TMF-100) is a new offering from Trigonus Industries designed for freighter operators who have long-distance trade routes that take them away from well-policed core systems. It can dock one shuttle and two starfighters externally, not unlike the Gozanti cruiser or Corellian Engineering's VCX-100 model freighter. In addition, it has a fairly heavy weapons suite for a freighter, with two turbolaser turrets and four ion cannons. It is a ship that tries to tell pirates and raiders: Go Away, pick an easier target. For opponents that it can't defeat in combat, it sports the latest Santhe-Sienar Tandem Impulse Drive units to supplement its standard thrusters, giving it impressive speed for a freighter. Due to the freighter's armament and starfighter docking capability, some small mercenary units and planetary security forces have also expressed an interest in the vessel.
