Trial by Giant Killer Robots [Serenity LoveHeart]

Miss Blonde

Trying to be straight in a crooked Galaxy
Once she was firmly seated at her desk, the woman ignored what the kid was saying. Not that she didn't want to sit there and go over the finer points of how she was capable of murdering and taking away everything she knew and loved, but there was no time for such tom foolery. Fact of the matter was that she was pregnant, and this time around she wanted to be there for her child. For once in her life she wanted to be a good mother, so she needed a successor, someone who had fire and drive in them. She hoped it would be serenity and Blonde could step in as wise council, because the fact of the matter was that she wasn't cut from the right cloth to be doing this kind of work anymore. She was forty and while she had a very long longevity, she couldn't do this forever.

"I want you to use the force and hit me as hard as you can." It was a good spot to start to see what she was working with.

If this girl was anything that Blonde thought she was, she was raw and ready potential to be shaped and molded into a deadly and efficient killer. But not just that, she could be turned into one of the greatest crime lords ever. When Patricia came into power for the Red Ravens she was already pretty well off, but to have someone with next to nothing built up into a leader and honed killer. Well that was a very deadly combination that was not easily bested.

"Well I don't have all day, get on with it." She was a very busy woman after all.

An odd request surely. Hit her with the force? Serenity wasn't masterful in her use, but she knew its capabilities. Usually, she would only make use of it when the enemy wasn't asking for it. Now, she wasn't an enemy, and she was asking for it. Surely odd, and perhaps the real test had only begun.

"Hit you with it?"

"Well I don't have all day."

So she made an attempt. But before, she wondered if she wanted physical push or an psychological one, the force's capabilities were infinite. "Perhaps both?" she said into her mind. She stood up and stood behind the chair; closing her eyes and concentrating on probing Blonde's head and mind, finding a weak point for her to focus on. The skill was definitely there, she knew she had the ability to do this. Refinement was the issue, she was unreliable in her use. Regardless, she believe she had found a weak point and closed her hand, one finger at a time. After which, she would open her eyes.

Thoughts of fear would flood into her head, if her mental resolve could not withstand it. Thoughts of losing her child? Her criminal empire failing? Being betrayed by a loved one? Serenity then awaited the woman's response before continuing.

She then went onto the physical force, probably her weaker aspect. She closed her eyes once more and faced Miss Blonde once more, this time taking a few further steps back. She opened her palm and a gust of wind, not strong, but noticeable came from her general direction, moving one of the chairs slightly and some stationary on the desk, even threatening to knock a glass over.

Serenity received nothing on both fronts. Not without trying though, she had lost any psychic assault before it even began. Her mask was a literal mental attack warding fortress and any deflected attacks of that nature away from her. Blonde was an ever evolving monster and she never attacked her foes in a head on battle, that was how you lost a fight. No, you handed your opponent their defeat before the game even began. This was going to be Serenity's first lesson. You didn't have to be all powerful with the force. You didn't have to be the greatest swordsman, gunslinger, or whatever title one preferred. All you had to do was outwit your opponent by making them play into your hands the entire time. It's how she forced the Remnant into a peace and blackened their eye at Void Station.

So when the force push came with the little gust of wind, Blonde's LED yellow visors turned a deep shade of red as the eyes light up and the force extended out of her like a maelstrom of wind and fury. Cups, papers, and even her desk moved as they went outward at her call to the force. Truth was she was never the best at TK, but she was a deadly opponent none the less.

"You've been running around all night, adrenaline pumping, muscles moving, you're tired. You're mentally and physically exhausted. You've already stretched your force powers and whatever this piss poor effort is, it's far from your best. Fact of the matter is, if I wanted to I could rip you limb from screaming limb and there wouldn't be a thing you could do about it. Because I've been running you ragged all night." Blonde's red lights turned back to their normal shade of yellow and she simply stood up from her desk.

"Here's your first lesson. Battles are the bloody afterthought of the moves you've already made. You hand your opponent their defeat in moments like sending a few droids to weaken them, allowing them see an icon that would stretch and challenge their mind solving a mystery, making them run across miles of cityscape to get to Hutta town, then making them use up what was probably the last of their powers on an arbitrary challenge that you knew wasn't going to be their best. That's how you win a fight." Blonde loved her little schemes and she was arguably the best at them in the Galaxy.

So taking her seat once more she crossed one leg over the other and tented her fingers in a position that gave her authoritarian presence complete Justice.

"I'll teach you how to do that if you want. Show you a few tricks with the force as well. I'll even hire your sister." Blonde untented her fingers and extended her hand out to the girl.

"So what do you say? How'd you like to be my apprentice and successor candidate, Serenity?" Pretty easy question.

She didn't take the insult personally, but she saw the truth in the woman's statement. She was weary to her bones and was anticipating this to be over, and soon. She knew that she hadn't even tried with her force attacks, not properly at least.

But when she mentioned becoming her successor, that was different. Perhaps this was her chance to make a name for herself, to redeem herself in the eyes of her father, to maybe even control this planet. She waited for a second. Everything else the woman said, even the part about hiring her sister blanked out of her mind, hungry for power, she sat down on the chair once more and a wide smile appeared.

"It would be my honour. Where do I sign?"

Assuming this is the end of the thread! Good RP!

I suppose we'll continue this story line in different scenery.
