SETTING INFORMATION
Trade Federation USC is prominently located on one of Cato Neimoidia's iconic bridge-city plateaus and floating spires, making it relatively easy to locate for those traveling to the Purse Worlds. Public shuttles and commercial liners regularly service the main spaceport adjacent to the campus. However, the entire facility is heavily monitored and secured.

While the main academic buildings and visitor centers are accessible to the public during designated hours, most residential areas, research labs, and administrative wings require student/staff credentials or invitations. Luxury housing districts for elite students are strictly private.
  • Description:
The Trade Federation University of Science & Commerce is a sprawling, futuristic megastructure of gleaming durasteel, transparisteel, and polished Neimoidian architectural flourishes. Built across massive bridges and cliffside platforms suspended above misty chasms, the campus blends imposing corporate grandeur with advanced educational facilities.

Towering spires, domed lecture halls, and interconnected sky-bridges create a breathtaking yet somewhat claustrophobic environment. Giant holographic Trade Federation crests and glowing university banners are visible from orbit. While impressive, the rapid expansion has led to noticeable overcrowding in lower-tier facilities.

The university offers a wide array of degree programs organized under several core departments. These draw from established galactic occupations in science, commerce, law, engineering, security, and more controversially Force-related studies.

Degrees Offered

SECURITY

The Trade Federation University of Science & Commerce maintains a High security rating appropriate for a major corporate-backed civilian university.

Round-the-clock private security personnel many of them veteran Trade Federation enforcers or corporate contractors patrol the grounds alongside advanced biometric scanners, holographic identification systems, and extensive surveillance networks.

Automated defense turrets, security droids, and layered sensor arrays protect both the perimeter and sensitive internal areas, while shield generators provide protection against moderate external threats.

The Department of Late Admission operates its own discreet, high-priority security detail to safeguard wealthy and influential clients. Although the university does not field military forces or starfighter wings, its corporate backing ensures robust defenses on par with major interstellar business headquarters.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Established in 850 ABY during the waning years of the Galactic Alliance, the Trade Federation University of Science & Commerce was originally created primarily as a sophisticated tax write-off and public relations endeavor.

As the Neimoidian Purse Worlds sought to reassert economic influence, the university provided a respectable façade for expanding Trade Federation interests in education and workforce development.

When the Galactic Alliance collapsed between 900–902 ABY, the institution seamlessly transitioned into full affiliation with the resurgent Trade Federation. It quickly grew into a major enrollment hub, accepting massive numbers of students from across the galaxy.

Its low official admission standards paired with extremely high suggested donations allowed it to process vast quantities of applicants, though this has prevented it from being regarded as the premier academic institution of the era.

To balance its image of selectivity with profit motives, the university quietly operates the Department of Late Admission. This specialized office allows wealthy individuals, connected politicians, and even certain criminal elements to bypass traditional coursework entirely.

For the right transfer of credits, a degree can be conferred almost instantly in fields ranging from scientific occupations xenobiology, hyperdrive engineering, planetology, etc. to legal and commercial professions.

Today, the university continues to serve as both a genuine if overcrowded center of learning and a lucrative networking hub for the Trade Federation's economic empire. Its graduates populate mid-to-upper management roles across Federation corporations, while its more exclusive alumni often rise quickly in galactic commerce, sometimes without ever attending a single lecture. The institution remains a point of pride for Neimoidian leadership and a reliable revenue stream for the Federation.
