OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION

SETTING INFORMATION
  • Nexus Name: Tower of Saud'Akute AKA "Tower of The Flaming Eye"
  • Nexus Alignment: Dark
  • Location: Corbos
  • Affiliation: The Sith Empire; The Shaper
  • Size: Large
  • Strength: Strong
  • Accessibility: The Tower of Saud'Akute is built into the self-same mountain that the rest of The Shaper's Palace resides against and within. Opposite the more opulent, more public side of the palace, the Tower of Saud'Akute is under constant vigil and guard by the most elite and loyal of The Sith Empire's military forces and most promising Dark Side adherents that The Shaper takes personal interest in. Accessibilty is, as such, as restricted as a location could possibly be in the galaxy.
  • Description: Tall, menacing and with a gigantic flaming eye sitting at it's pinnacle the Tower of Saud'Akute is hard to miss. Like a great flame-tipped spear attempting to pierce the heavens the Tower of Saud'Akute stands at a staggering 2,000 meters tall. It's obsidian surface riddled with hidden compartments and parapets for defenders to fire down upon. A singular staircase wraps back around into the mountain itself, providing even more limited access for any who would seek to physically climb the Tower of Saud'Akute, as the stairs possess only enough room for three individuals to walk shoulder to shoulder, carefully, up it's surface.
NEXUS EFFECTS
The Tower of Saud'Akute harnesses the Netherworld Rift that is the Flaming Eye for an all but endless energy source of raw Dark Side energy. Of course being able to effectively harness and make use of such a potent egress of raw energy is an effort worthy of Emperors. The first and most direct effect of the Tower is the semi-sentience it is granted by the constant infusion of Dark Side energy. In a manner akin to the Star Forge of old the Tower serves it's Master as well as hungers and acts with the autonomy of an intelligent animal. The very alchemized stone of it's construction flowing like water within among the infrastructure, each and every internal platform, staircase, parapet, exit, window, firing slit and features able to be closed off, reopened and moved at the Tower's will. Aiding any defending forces by altering it's structure in any way it can.

Second most prominent of it's effects is a passive empowerment of those Dark Siders in it's presence. The Tower, however, does not amplify the power of any Dark Sider near it, rather it will only empower those it's Master has marked and thus granted access to the Tower itself.

Thirdly, the Tower of Saud'Akute contains a direct connection to The Shaper's Throne in his inner sanctum. The Tower constantly maintains a lattice of ever-shifting alchemical and ritual symbols on it's core pillar to properly harness and channel the Flaming Eye's energy down into the depths of the Shaper's Palace.

Lastly, and perhaps most impressively, The Tower of Saud'Akute is capable of harnessing the power of it's Netherworld breach when it's Master sits in their throne to allow them to extend their sight over nearly the entire planet of Corbos and even out in space itself. Giving it's Master sight out over an entire sector of space though less and less the further from Corbos one gets. This sight is exceptionally, excruciatingly painful for Light-Side Force Users who do not protect themselves and knowing better to fuel potentially hostile Dark Siders with pain, this sight instead pulls the emotions from the mind of unmarked Dark Siders caught within it's crimson shadow. To non-Force users unmarked by it's Master however, the Tower is perhaps most cruel. By forcing intense concentrations of Dark Side energy within them their bodies are devolved, mutated and broken into mindless, shifting masses of Sithspawn flesh. Their corporeal forms unable to make sense of the energy from beyond.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

The Tower of Saud'Akute is incredibly young by the lifespan of Force Nexi. Constructed along with the rest of his palace as soon as he returned to the Sith Empire. Days upon weeks upon months of effort and toil, of working the people of Corbos to the bone, not allowing them to die or rest until their work was complete. Swarming multitudes of Sithspawn were bent to the purpose of hauling the alchemically fortified black stone into place. It's writhing, umbral mass fusing together and though solid, a mirror sheen harder than starship hulls, the rock and material could move and swim fluidly together. Like liquid void given purpose and function. The Shaper's chanting from it's pinnacle-to-be causing reality itself to rend and scream in pain. The Flaming Eye it would come to house tearing the Force, bleeding unfettered darkness through a wound in all that was to crown the top of this obsidian-esque tower.

As months past into a year and the great Flaming Eye crowned the top of Saud'Akute the entire tower would rumble, shudder and the Force on Corbos would groan in pain like a belabored beast. The intricate, masterfully crafted sorcerous markings that were etched into the Tower's very being flaring with the unfettered, raw power of the Dark Side. Power, motion, energy given to the Tower that had longed possessed a purpose. A semi-sentient will of it's own. A Nexus fit for an Emperor, a tower to act as a bastion for the rebirth the Sith have long deserved.
