DESCRIPTION

Upon his latest meeting with Supreme Commander Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen , Fleet Admiral Vorin Zonill was tasked with finding a reliable method to deliver the Necrotic Scourge Mist Virus onto the enemies of the Imperial Confederation. As the Confederation seeks to launch its second incursion into Sith held space, having the ability to utilize the Necrotic Scourge Mist Virus may very well determine if the attack is a success or a failure. As such, the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant began working working on a delivery system for the virus.

For months, a viable design for a delivery system eluded the Imperial Remnant, until a chance discovery on Mahporeem produced ancient schematics for an old type of Viral Bomb allegedly produced during the Clone Wars. Though the original schematic proved more than sufficient for carrying the Necrotic Scourge Mist Virus, the Imperial Remnant decided to take the design to the N&Z Umbrella Corporation and improve upon it.

The new design, dubbed the "Mk II Viral Bomb", is both lighter and more durable than its predecessor. More importantly, it is capable of utilizing a wide variety of both biological and chemical agents, and can be deployed in a number of different ways, such as being thrown, launched or dropped from a starship. Of course, these types of weapons can be as dangerous to their users as they are to their enemies, and chemical/biological composition must always be taken into account when the weapon is being deployed onto the battlefield, as must atmospheric conditions be taken into account as well.
