He Could tell that the Infernal [member="Yasha Mantis"] was equally enjoying herself the slavers here have made one mistake today, They decided to pick a fight with The Infernal hound and the Lord of the Dead together and that was there first mistake. He looked to see Yasha pinned down by a group of slavers with a deep almost demonic like howl he darted forward into the fray, using the force to give him a speed boost for a short period of time was more then enough to close the distance with the slaver emplacement as he unleashed a force push that he had explode around him as he shoulder bashed into the group the bubble that exploded would send everything and everyone in the emplacement except him flying all over the bunker.

He grabbed the heavy repeater and ripped it in half throwing each half into a slaver that was trying to get back up the speed made the pieces that he threw take there heads off before he continued his assault now that he gave the Infernal a break and clear too continue her rampage as well, He used his hammer as a battering ram into one of the inner walls and made his way deeper inside the bunker and continued his onslaught.

His weight crushed several of the soldiers, Abel's mighty girth proving to be too great for their delicate frames. Spinning, his trident extended out to slash through faces and upraised arms like a lightsaber through butter. Roaring through the external speakers as he rampaged he took a moment to silently teflect on that particular saying.

Did Jedi decide one day to slice butter with their sabers? Or was it an angry sith who was pissed cause his toast was burnt? Was there a scientific method explored? Different settings with different crystals? Or was it a random act of a slightly deranged force user sitting in his kitchen one day with his robes open in the nude after one too many hits of spice off a Hutt stripper's derriere? It was disconcerting.

Lashing out with a kick he launched the final slaver flying across the walkway to slam with bone shattering force against a stone wall to never rise again. Firing his jetpack he launched back to the wall as Tad Centuria fully formed up.

"Haran, set up the E-web cannons. One cohort (ten mandos) per cannon. Activate the shields to form the wall. Five cohorts break by formation, shield wall activated, and begin cleansing this place of dar'mando blood. Cohort one, form up on me."

Launching back into the courtyard with the jetpack the idle thought if just where he could find a stripper Hutt with a fine derriere for his brother, Kaine, could be found for a surprise. As his boots touched down once more the cohort erected the shield wall before him. Marching in sync, their blasters through the port holes in the shields, they marchedb toward the barracks where more guards were rushing out.

Cohort One opened fire with the command from Abel, their Colonel. Their withering fire decimated the ranks even as their shields denied admittance of return fire. On the walls the E-WEB cannons began obliterating the enemy as the legionaries laid down suppression fire with shields locked. It was a beautiful thing to behold.

Having pushed to the doors of the barracks, and the other four Cohorts mirroring the image of Cohort One, Abel nodded and gave the signal. They weren't here for prisoners. Several blasters were pulled from the port holes and gauntlets aimed through the openings to fire streams of flame into the enemy positions. As the remaining living slavers ran out engulfed in flames, a single shot to the gut put them on the ground. No mercy for them. They would die from the flames upon the ground writhing in agony.

"Cohorts Three through Five, set up position and hold the courtyard. Cohort Two begin clearing a landing zone for our people to come in with reinforcements and transport for the slaves. Cohort One, time to make sure the rat's nest is tidied up."

Five shields were deactivated, each pairing with a shielded legionnaire. Abel strode to the front and looked at the door leading into the bowels.

"Knock knock buir karkers!!!"

His boot lashed out and splintered the door from it's hinges as Cohort One of Tad Centuria of the Lo'Te Legion entered behind their Colonel.

The gun position would fall. Mand’alor the Infernal knew best to let Skorvek run, trusting her fellow wolf-headed being to take out what she was too bogged down by to be effective.

That was the way of warfare. One and the other, a constant push and pull between two comrades, two of the same Aliit. Skorvek was her brother, her child’s Sloobieboo and nevermore now did the title of Mantis fit well on the Anubian’s shoulders.

Yasha cleaned up the wounded while Skorvek continued on, using her Katar to sever their spinal columns from their heads at the cerebral vertebrae. Once Skorvek got bogged down by the forces on the other side of the inner wall, Yasha bashed through the wall on the other side, her hammer hitting with an electric smack.

The wall crumbled. The soldiers fired. The War hammer blitzed forth with its’ arc reactor and burned them all alive. No more games. The inner sanctum of the bunker lied ahead. Yasha’s helm picked up the auditory vibrations of yelling men and women barking commands. The leaders.

“Cover me. I’m going fishing.” Sprinting past two gunners, and ducking under a sturdy console, Yasha pulled her holdout blaster, raised it to firing position, and shot. Another gunner fell. She saw the warning signs and felt the vibrations on her armour as one of their blaster bolts smacked into her beskar’kandar, yet felt no pain.

It helped when one was in such fantastic armour. Securing her firearm, Yasha strafed to the door. It was solid metal, exorbitantly protected and insulated… Good thing they had a window.

Setting a charge on the transparisteel, Yasha dove for cover, as the inferno blasted through the wall and window to the Command Centre of the Bunker.

“They’re in! Shields!” One of the slaver commanders bellowed.

[member="Alkor Centaris"] was in position. Under her buy'ce, Yasha grinned.

"Permission to fire. Take the shots, Centaris."

The man of Clan Verd joined in on the assault on Camp Besh. Like others of his people, he was a rather good marksman, firing his twin Westar-35's at the slaver scum. He frowned upon any sort of sapient being who could be so cruel as to enslave another sapient. To him, slavery was among the most disgusting practices in the galaxy. It reminded him too much of his own enslavement, conscripted into the ranks of the First Order when only a child.

There was a deadly satisfaction to helping end their lives. He saw the Infernal and her squad rush into the base further ahead. He decided to stay behind and give cover to any of the escaping slaves. A warrior's duty was not just to breaking through a wall, guns blazing. Sometimes it was to protect others....while guns blazing.

Yet, off in the distance, he saw a couple of the slaver scum. His HUD viewed in on them. They were around a cage, using electrical prods on some beast. Apparently, they had gotten so desperate that even they would not allow mere animals freedom. The abuse they placed on the creature bought him back to his own childhood. All Torin saw was red.

"[AHHHH!" He snarled, charging towards the slavers. In his mind, they were replaced by the First Order officers that had broke him.

Beskar plates absorbed blaster fire as they attempted to fight back. Yet, his rage was unstoppable. They had dropped to the ground, multiple blaster burns on their corpses. He turned his attention to the object of their torture. A Corellian hound, barely out of its puppy stage. No doubt, had they not come, it would have become some sort of abused attack-dog. Thankfully, it was still breathing.

"[C'mon, mate." He said, opening the cage and picking up the pup, "Everyone's breakin' out today."

With the little white pup tucked under one arm, he holstered one of his pistols and moved back to a safer vantage point. He still provided blaster cover for those slaves yet to be freed. Like this pup, he would do his best to keep them from returning to the shackles.

“She’s swerving, Captain.”

“I see it. Keep us on a course above the beast and away from those side turrets. Fire on the turrets. Target weapons’ systems. Send the Wurrif’s to pepper its’ bridge. It’s got jagged points, see how many we can take on our way. Coordinate with Captain Finn to get the slaver ships away. We cannot lose this cargo like we lost the slaves over Hela.”

“Yes Sir!” The officers aboard Si’s Ajuur barked and pushed to it, shoulders in to get the orders done as quickly as possible. Vast cannon fire began to strike at the moving vessel, as Wurrif-Class Light Cruisers veered out of formation and began making strafing runs of the Brown Dwarf’s anti-matter cannons and bridge.

The Purudii fighters clashed in the void with Flash Australis’ furies, colliding and sweeping away in a churning rhythm of attack and defend. These slavers would not give their prizes easily, nor would they give their lives like the Appleblossom.

“Full power to engines! Move our hammers and wurrifs as close to the ships as they can get!”

Ayhia’s hopeful Akaata had powerful shields, and came through hyperspace ready for the fight. Several squads of Mandalorian Gunships launched from the Alef’s berth, chasing down the CSDF fighters with flanking heavy fire.

If they wanted to steal the Akaata, they would have to earn it.

While the Infernal did her thing Skorvek was enjoying the fight and clearing out the slavers as the command center was being taken care of, He sent down a narrow tight corridor a blast of fire down the hall melting the walls and floor and ceiling and setting the slavers on fire and let them burn as he sent several thralls he revived down the other corridor as suicide thralls carrying there own grenades armed and rushing into the enemy as he continued to smash and decapitate slavers that tried to charge him. He was having more fun in the past few hours then in the last 400 years and this showed him how well he and the Infernal who took him under her wing are working together even on a first time on the front lines like this they worked in perfect synergy one did one task and the other did theres without much in the way or words being spoken.

He heated up several pieces of rubble and sent them forth like bullets taking out a small squad of slavers that where running down the hall to him, He continued his march keeping Yasha covered and keeping the slavers from swarming her as he sent his thralls to cover the halls ways and fire at any slavers that head down them, any that fall he resurrects as his thrall it was a endless thing he was doing but it was amusing.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Captian Alya Sevais, "The Equivalent Exchange" COC
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sevais stood next to the holo table watching as her fleets fighters inched closer to the enemy's fighters, she understood that maybe a third of her fighter and bomber pilots would not be returning to the ship, worse off is right now she couldn't care about that. She sighed as in the background one of the COC staff started counting down to contact. She leaned over and placed her hands on the edge of the table, tapping her fingers as she did. "Brais... pull any intel we have on Mandolorian Gunships and display on the holotable..." One of the crew responded and exploded into a flurry of action, it was a mass produced ship so finding info was quite easy. less then 20 seconds later a schematic popped up on the holo table, she scanned it quickly. Straightening up she shouted orders, "deploy EWAR immediately, order all fighters and bombers to activate OPAL and Dolphin systems! Those ships are have some nasty missle systems and i want them useless! Also have the Howlers and Banshee focus out those gunships they could do some real damage if they decided to target any of the fleet ships."
The entire crew of the COC did as they were ordered, as the crew member giving the countdown to contact reached zero the "The Equivalent Exchange" put out a jamming signal, an attempt to limit the lock on capability of the enemy. At the same time one of comms officers sent out a burst transmission to ships that were known to be friendly containing the info to cut through the jamming signal so that friendly's were unaffected. The "The Equivalent Exchange" reached weapons range of the Alef class and fired its first volley at the bigger ship, the other ships of the fleet also reached weapons range and began firing upon the alef all while the fighters turned their attention to the gunships.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1st Lieutenant Erin Grim & Flight Zeta-22
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Another order came to change targets to the approaching gunships, it was to late to change formations but her flight all changed directions and started firing on the first gunship in range. She watched as the enemy force also fired back, she knew that with the fire power that the two forces had just exchanged in the first shot did some real damage to her side. Erin herself toggled all three of her fighters ship to ship weapons, she watched as the the combined fire power grabbed the gunships attention quickly, she figured they were trying to get a lock on her with their missile system only to find difficulty, though that didn't stop them from using the damned chain guns they were equipped with and so far the only reason she wasn't space dust was her ships shear speed. She was forced to loop around the gunship a bit until she was able to get enough of an angle to get a line on it again, activating her ships OPAL to cut through the jamming that was being produced to her, it was pretty clear that these gunship were no match at close range. As she finally leveled off on her target she toggle the lock on system for her missiles and dumb fired two right into its rear with a full burst of railgun fire, turning it into a heap of drifting slag. She was grinning at her first down when another gunship peppered her ship with fire, it didn't put her out of the fight but made it hard to turn right and disabled one of her railguns.

Heavy repeater fire burst through the window over Yasha’s head. She ducked for cover, lobbing a grenade into the centre of the room. The explosion battered her position with a rocking wave of compressed air, but the warrior held steady. Vaulting over the window sill, she used the smoke and chaos to distract from the twin katars unsheathed on her wrists.

One by one the remaining injured and living in the communication centre became nothing but Skorvek’s thralls. Distasteful to many, Skorvek’s magics reminded Yasha of less complicated times, when the only task she had to complete in a day was survival.

How complicated the good things in life became, when they reared their beautiful heads. The communications array was before her, and Yasha sliced in, getting locations on all the slave & credit caches across the planet.

“These commanders were paranoid, they rerouted everything through their central consoles. I don’t know if there’s a secondary system, but if it exists, it’s in the Castle. Time to shut their defences down and open the gates.” Grinning under her helm, the Mand’alor triggered a slicer routine meant to shift all the coding to her command overrides. She worked the connections, remote-viewing the prison camp, the castle, and a dozen slaver caches across Er’kit, and unlocked the doors.

Something so simple began a thread of chaos, as enterprising slaves realized in the panic of their captors, that the barricades restraining them were gone. The offence mounted by the slaves joined [member="Kaine Australis"] and the others, as Yasha worked to disable their sec-chips to prevent the slaves from becoming some missing commander’s last-ditch suicide bombs.

“Skorvek and I made the inner sanctum. I’ve unlocked all the cells, doors, paddocks and containment shielding across the planet. Sending supplementary troops to all slave cache positions, with orders to destroy resistance and give med-checks to all the slaves. Start the process of integrating them back into society as free people. Australis, Solus, Verd, what’s your status?”

They had hit resistance.

Inside the castle they had come upon the armory where the slavers were hunkered down. Not only were they well armed and entrenched bit they also had a wall of slaves with them as extra deterrents to the mando'ade overcoming and wiping them out.

Abel gritted his teeth within his buy'ce. He had begun to direct the slaves back to the courtyard of the castle while the Cohort had continued clearing out the interior. The sudden cries of pain and loss combined with battle washed over the comms when Cohort One was ambushed. Pointing the way for the slaves he had rushed through the halls following the signals of his Cohort on his HUD.

One by one their vitals flatlined until only one was left.

Rounding the corner he caught the body of Sera, who collapsed into his arms. Pulling her back around the corner he held her as she slid down the plates of his beskar'gam, blood pumping from her body and leaking from her pierced armor.

"Couldn't ... save them .... slaves as hostages ... See you in the Manda Abe'ika ..."

A shudder and Sera was gone. Sera who had been with the Division when he joined. Sera who had stood by him when he had become Colonel. Sera who had brought all her family, brothers and sisters, sons and daughters, grandchildren ... Brought them all with Abel when he returned to Manda'yaim. Sera who survived the displacement through time. To fall in a cesspool of slavery was unacceptable.

Gently laying her on the blood slicked stone of the hallway his daily list of remembrance grew longer. Another friend, no, family member gone. Another loss that would weigh upon the giant mando'ad. But now was time for retribution.

Rising from where Sera rested he gripped the trident as rage erased the loss that was etched upon his face. They had come to rescue the slaves. Collateral damage was to be expected. Hearing the check-in from his people he nodded slightly then broadcast on the ME frequency.

"The castle is being shored up now. The freed slaves are being rounded up on the courtyard and landing zones have been designated. The Colonel out."

Moving for the Armory he had a score to settle in typical mandalorian fashion.

Rage. Anger. Hate.

These were the emotions flooding through the younger Australis brother as he made for the Armory doors. It wasn't an overwhelming emotional tide that washed away his ability to think, but rather a cold calculating desire for vengeance and death. He was old enough to not allow himself to lose his head like he had done in his youth. He still had the scars to prove it as well as several warrants for his arrest in multiple systems. No, Abel was a man on a mission. A very simple mission.

Kill'em all.

Raising his left gauntlet he fired the mini missiles into the blockaded door watching with grim satisfaction as they blew inward to rain shrapnel and a concussive blast into the inhabitants. Even as the wave reached Abel he dove forward and activated his jet pack to go flying through the shattered door frame and into the people inside.

Slamming into the slavers he deactivated his thrust and rode the half dozen to the ground as other slavers fired their rifles and pistols into him. He felt the kinetic impacts upon his body as the weapons failed to pierce his beskar'gam, yet those he had crashed into screamed at the friendly fire. Rising from the ground he spun the trident, slashing a wide swath around him before raising it and throwing the beskar trident, impaling a slaver to the far wall.

Raising his right gauntlet he fire the blaster built into it up across the ceiling, casting the armory into darkness. As the slavers cried out at the loss of their ability to see Abel activated the infrared in his HUD even as he ejected the vibroblade from the knuckleplate into the gut of a slaver. Activating his external speakers he growled.

"Death has come."

And so it had. Dancing through the slavers he carved their demise into their forms, calling his beskar trident to his left hand and striking down all that opposed him. A few slavers used slaves as shields, yet Abel gave no quarter nor mercy. This was war, battle, and they were not mando'ade. Knocking the final slaver to the ground she cried out that she surrendered. Abel paused.

"For Sera."

He drove the butt of the trident down, once, twice, three times until he had split the slaver's skull. Walking from the Armory he moved once more into the light, blood splattered beskar'gam and his steps leaving a crimson trail to the grisly scene. His comms opened once more as he heard the courtyard radioing in their readiness for landing craft.

"The castle is secure. We need exfil for the slaves and a med team for the wounded. And a wagon for our fallen vode."

Kaine Australis’ voice hit the comms, and Yasha flicked the screens to show the progress at Camp Besh.

“Seen, Australis. Execute the slavers, give me prisoners, who might have information on the slaver networks, and their buyers. Any slaves taken from what are now our lands are Mandalorians in need of rescue. I want their supply chains. The rest are expendable. Bodies for the pyre.” Although it might have seemed harsh to execute the slavers left, Yasha was done with mercy for those who made a career of criminally capturing and destroying the lives of others. The slavers were not sitting idle asking the Mandalorians to stop.

They were warriors in battle, and they would die warriors’ deaths.

[member="Cynthia Solus"] & [member="Abel Australis"] saw to it that the Castle was next.

“Heard, Colonel. Act without restraint. Our objective is the freedom and protection of the slaves. Destroy their captors, so that they cannot scuttle away and reemerge elsewhere.”

It wasn’t long before Australis’ brother achieved the task at hand.

“I have sent the Waylander Supportives to your position in the Castle, with a troop carrier and a medical ship. Your fallen will get their wagon. Our exfil point is the Crev Bunker. All front line warriors, make here for extraction. Infernal out.” An eery quiet stole the Command room of the Bunker, as [member="Skorvek"] was off destroying any straggling slavers, and the battles above and below ended in Mandalorian victories.

Mand’alor the Infernal hissed and sat back on the commander’s chair, her HUD showing the varying sec-net channels and the movement of the slaves and Mandalorian troops. Casualty reports filtered in, good Mando’ade becoming one with Manda, while the aruetise slavers perished to their varying hells.

Across Er’kit, the supplementary troops and support vessels set up temporary berths for the former slaves, medical teams cataloguing injuries, taking note of the slaves’ physical conditions, and removing their ownership chips. Yasha-Class atmospheric carriers became temporary cities, as [member="Ambrose Mantis"] and his Yalilyr scoped the planet to pillage the secret provision warehouses and food caches the Thalassian Slavers kept throughout. Eventually, those slaves who wished would be given passage anywhere within the Mandalorian Empire.

They would receive food, clothing, health care and education. Those who wished to stay on Er’kit would have the hard working joy of building cities and economies for themselves, aided by Mandalorian engineers, architects, educators and security troops. Er'kit would never again be used as a front for the trade of persons.

Paid for by the pillaging of the slaver fleet, warehouses, and the trade of their equipment and guns.

“Welcome to my Empire, Mando’ade.”

Watching his Legion work was heart warming. They were family. They were soldiers. They would persevere. Even in the face of loss, they would persevere. As a makeshift field hospital was set up and wounded slaves tended to, even more of the Legion were moving through the throng of freed slaves, offering small food stuff to adults and snacks or candy that was hidden in their kama's our pockets to malnourished children. Even though they moved through the people offering comfort, their eyes were warily scanning for any threat or danger. This was still a battlefield after all.

Upon the walls the Cohorts were still stationed around the E-WEBs prepared for any change. Abel nodded as he heard the comlink chirp, a message from [member="Yasha Mantis"]. Seemed the different fronts were calming down as the mando'ade crushed the slavers and freed the slaves. The message that reinforcements and a wagon was incoming made the Colonel grunt.

"Vor'e Mand'alor."

Turning away from being a spectator, he began assisting in placing their fallen vode to the side in a peaceful repose. From the armor of each he retrieved their tally, slipping them into a pouch on his belt. As he knelt among the fallen he began the song as ships became visible on the horizon.

"At yustapir val slanar, a kyr'yc ret'urcye mhi. A mhi malyasa'yr ret' gupu sto, tion'tuur o'r Ka'ne mhi ruya catnaoe. Daab yustapir gar slanar, at be'ida cuun vod. Iupr bal naak gar hwa kar'taylir, o'r darasuum irud be cuun buir."

To the river they go, a last goodbye. But we will see you once more, when the Manda we draw nigh. Down the river you go, to join with our brothers. Joy and peace you shall know, in the eternal arms of our fathers.

Things were not going terribly well for Captain Si Troenskjegg. More and more Mandalorians and associated fighters were pouring into the skies above Er’kit, blocking their exit paths and threatening to once again destroy another slaver net, like Hela.

“What is it with these people and a hatred of good honest slavers doing business?” He grumbled, watching the CSDF fighters begin to pick away at the gun ships.

“Send two Hammerheads to pick off those fighters! Break through their containment, we’re jetting out of here!” Yet, the more Si said it, the more he knew the ships were lost.

[member="Aedan Miles"] was ruthless, known to steal anything not tied down. The CSDF hated slavers, and the Mandalorians weren’t much better.

“Open a hailing frequency to the enemy capital ships.”

“Aye.” The Trandoshan comms officer grunted, his tongue slithering out of his thin, reptilian mouth, “Channel open.”

“Mandalorian vessels, we have three hundred thousand slaves on our ships. Back off your attack immediately, or I will give the order to space the first hundred, and another hundred every five clicks until you kill us all. My cargo and my ships pass. You’ve got the planet, I’m pushing out of here.”

So the Admiral Australis was willing to talk. Si sat back in his command chair and waited for four seconds, before snapping his fingers and having two of the three battlegroups stand down.

“Aha. Got him. Power down, prepare to move all the slaves to the hangars. Any duplicity on the Mandalorian’s side, space them… prepare to hit hyperspace, we’re moving to Novers—“

“Sir!” The Comms officer yelped. “Coming out of Hyperspace! It’s the Dutchman!”

“They’ve double-crossed us!” Si screamed, space the prisoners on the Geonosis Gent!”

Within seconds of the battlegroup’s arrival, seven hundred slaves were sucked into the space between the Mandalorian fleet and the Pirates. Si Troenskjegg’s ship banked downward on its’ vertical axis, attempting to power through the Mandalorian blockade and make for hyperspace.

Aedan watched as there were talks about them giving up the slaves before Flash was willing to let them leave. What he was sure the slavers didn't know was the minute the slavers were off of those ships in his eyes all bets were off and their ships would be nothing but debris in space. When another ship dropped out of hyperspace and the slavers panicked spacing the slaves Aedans violet eyes suddenly go pure crimson as he stands growling out darkly to his bridge crew the battle meditation he was maintaining suddenly taking a blood thirsty turn. "NO SLAVER LEAVES THIS SYSTEM! Any surrendering ships are to be destroyed any disabled ships are to be destroyed unless they are frigates or above." As soon as he finished speaking every ship in his fleet redoubled their firepower drawing energy from shields to pour into weapons. They went from disabling ships to destroying them very quickly. The Pillage, Plunder, and Ruin for the first time worked together focusing all three of their deadly weapons on the flagship of the leader firing at almost exactly the same time their targeting computers accounting for the downward turn the ship took. The Apocalypse turned itself into the enemy charging it firing its composite beam laser it tracked it across the enemy forces forward sections before unloading missiles at the very likely now unshielded ships. The Apothesis turned its weapons onto a pair of Wurrif-class light frigates blasting away with devastating force upon them while the remaining two ships started to unleash hell on the rest along with the corvettes that had been hidden within them.

Alya pursed her lips as the one of the officers yelled that the slavers had spaced the slaves, she reached down and opened a channel to all ships. "All CSDF target enemy capital ships, All banshee's shift to composite beam runs on the Alef... I want shields down and all its weapons stripped." She switched the com's to contact Ayhia.
"Ma'am... they spaced the slaves..."

Ayhia closed her eyes and reached out, she could feel them suffering and could do nothing about it, huffing she motioned with her hand to get in space. The ship took off along with 19 others, Ayhia was angry, but unlike a sith whom would bask in the anger and hate, she used it as a focus point. She felt the first life end, then another and another, she let go and opened her eyes. hitting her comlink. "All boarding parties, this is no longer a rescue missions... this is now a search and destroy." a cacophony of response flood her comes, the most common was why.
Ayhia took a deep breath, "they spaced the slaves..." the comm was flooded with curses and yelling as the CSDF rangers grew angry. she sighed heavily, "enough... Everyone seal your suits and make for the ships environmental controls, cut their O2. I want some of you space walk the exterior and plant charges on the hull. They shall suffer the same fate..."

“Sir! The sh—“ a conflagration burst through the Command Deck of the ship, tearing the bridge apart. With no more command to control it, the ship listed to the side, shifted in motion by its’ mis-firing thrusters and the force of Aedan Miles’ assault.

All round, the slaver fleet panicked, engines churning as the fighter squadrons scattered, a small few hitting hyperspace before they could be destroyed.

For the rest, it was absolute slaughter.

Bodies of slaves writhed out of viewports, mothers clinging to their young, fathers to their children. Some slaves in the first thirty seconds before vacuum death attempted to cling to the sides of the ships, to no avail. Over four thousand bodies now hung in the expanse, multiple hundreds from each of the ships.

Where the other slaves were, no one could tell. The slavers broke out in an all out panicked weapon’s fire upon the Dutchman, the Pillage, Plunder and Ruin and Flash’s flagship.

Yet, aboard the Alef, one communication line opened on a public frequency.

“Help us… help. We’re still alive. We’ve barricaded the doors, but they’re coming… please help us, we’re going to die.” Some of the slaves aboard the Alef had usurped their keepers in the chaos of the fight, and broken the hatch controls on their prison hangar. Three of the slaves, engineers before their imprisonment, were working feverishly to prevent the hangar bay doors from opening, rerouting systems and splicing in to the ship’s controls as much as they could.

“Please, we’ve got women and children! There’s seven hundred of us in here, please help!”

Little did they know [member="Ayhia Katar"]’s boarding party was coming to their rescue.
