Now that her recovery was complete, the time had finally come for her to return to Onderon again. Somewhere deep within its jungles, the facility where she had been in stasis for over 4000 years still remained, waiting for her to find it. Only about 3 years ago, a Jedi Knight had helped her from her stasis pod there, but during this rescue and recovery mission, she suffered from intense hibernation sickness — so much so, that she had no real idea about where she was at the time, and this made it impossible to find it again now.
Through various visions she received about old friends still being stuck there, she began slowly piecing together the puzzle, but to actually find the exact location, she was simply going to have to travel through different parts of the Jungle until she recognized something or felt anything that could help her in the right direction. The plan was to then return later with some trusted friends to go inside and rescue whoever was still stuck there.
But as Valery moved through the Onderon Jungle alone, she felt something that caught her attention. It wasn't a feeling related to her mission at all, but something dark that lingered up ahead. A battle against Sith on this world had once led up to her time in stasis, and this planet hid other remnants of the ancient Sith Empire within its vast jungles, so perhaps she stumbled on something here?
Or had Sith come to track her down again? With her quick rise as a Jedi and leader within the New Jedi Order, she had made a lot of enemies, and several attempts at her life had been made already just in recent history. So wherever she went, she had to remain cautious.
For now, Valery simply continued her path forward, her mind scanning her surroundings for creatures and other dangers lurking behind the flora, and with each step she took, she got closer to this darker place she felt.

Once, in a time long since passed, a freshly knighted Nara Allam had fought Sith cultists on Onderon. Penned in on an excursion with her friends and some padawans, she remembered the whizz-flash of lightsabers, the cracks and blasts of bolts hitting the trees, the acrid scent of burning on the air.

That time was long ago, now. They'd all been so young then, the people she'd been fighting. Hidden behind cauls and masks, scrawny and useless. Just meat heading into the grinder. The thought brought a chill to her as she walked through the jungle, searching. Whispers had reached her ear, namely of old Sith outposts hidden deep in there. She reckoned she was about 700 years out. Could anything have lasted from that time? What did she hope to find?

Nostalgia probably. And old feelings, best left buried.

Still though, she was there. Her new life had turned largely aimless, just searching for purpose. Taking in the moment. The fresh air around her, the crunch of the leaves beneath her feet... and the strangle, cloying cold feeling that'd slithered just over her. She was getting close to something. Age-mottled stone began to appear, scattered around. She was getting close to something... as the trees ended at a clearing. A stubby, half-collapsed building made of reddened, eroded stone stood in the distance. Near the front, the very earth itself seemed to have deadened.

"Eessh," she said, letting out a low whistle. Looked like she was in the right place. She reached into her satchel and pulled out her lightsaber, fingering the hilt carefully. Could never be too careful.

As Valery approached the source of darkness she felt, a clearing grew recognizable through the dense flora of the Onderon Jungle. But what stood out, even more, was the ancient structure in the center of it — the architecture, even from far away, was unmistakably Sith in origin, and with the dark presence she could feel emanating from it, she understood it meant trouble. This building wasn't simply left abandoned, never to be entered again. In fact, it felt as if someone was within its walls right now, but their dark signature in the Force was hard to distinguish from the place itself.

Knowing she was entering dangerous territory now, Valery drew the hilt of her double-bladed lightsaber from her belt and held it firmly in her right hand. She wasn't expecting trouble outside the building itself yet, but one could never be careful enough. Even Sith knew how to mask their presence in the Force, and she was quite proficient at that as well, as a former Jedi Shadow.

What do we have here...

Valery thought as she stopped near the tree line, and looked into the direction of the Sith structure — someone else was there, but this woman's presence was more akin to that of a Jedi. Still, though, Valery decided to approach with caution and kept her weapon in hand while she stepped away from the trees and bushes.

"Seems we were both drawn to this, hm?" she asked after clearing her throat to get Nara's attention.

"I'm Jedi Master Valery Noble of the NJO — not here to cause trouble." she quickly added, hoping to remove any tension that could spark from her sudden appearance.

Her instincts had obviously dulled in her time away. The voice cut through her thoughts and she span, turning to face who'd spoken. Clutching her saber hilt, raising it just in case. An imposing, dark-haired woman stood there, staring back. Nara was about to start making demands, before the woman revealed who she was. A Jedi, at least. She relaxed visibly, un-tensing herself. Still didn't put the saber away, she wasn't that dumb.

"In my experience, Jedi Masters are nothing but trouble," Nara told her, with a half-smile on her face. Whoever this Jedi Master was, she looked built for a fight. She'd probably snap Nara like a twig if she tried anything. "NJO, huh? Which one?" The New Jedi Order could've meant a thousand things. Once, Nara herself had been a part of something that called itself the New Jedi Order. She somehow doubted that things would be the same.

"You were drawn to this place too, I guess?" she asked, waving towards the creepy, squat building. "How many do you think are in there? I was guessing three, at least, but I might be wrong." She couldn't feel much of anything living beyond the walls, but she too knew that even lowly Sith cultists could hide their presence in the Force. Besides, it'd be hard to sense much of anything beyond the veil of darkness that permeated those stones.

"You planning to head in? Because two would be better than one," Nara suggested. Jedi Masters may be trouble, but they were also damn useful in a full-on fight. Especially one that looked like her.

"Nara," she finally revealing, offering a smile. "Nara Allam. Former Jedi Knight... give or take a few centuries."

After stepping into the clearing, Valery studied the woman closely for a moment, especially the way she carried herself and how it echoed through the Force. With the hilt in her hand and the way she looked at Valery, there was definitely some wariness but she luckily felt no hostile intent. So Valery decided to lower her own weapon and clipped it back to her belt while their conversation continued, hoping to further show that she meant no trouble.

"Not sure what kind of Jedi Masters you've met, but it'll be alright," she said with a gentle smile of her own before her fiery gaze turned towards the Sith structure. Its effects on the woman became quite clear, as her smile faded and her features settled back into a more serious tone. As a former Jedi Shadow, anything tainted by the Dark Side to this extent had such an effect. It demanded her focus because she knew just how dangerous it could be to stand this close to the source.

"There is only one New Jedi Order currently — the one who protects the Galactic Alliance," Valery said after a moment, a hint of curiosity in her voice. She wondered why Nara believed there were multiple but that was something they could discuss later — this Sith tomb drew all of her focus. "As for what's in there, it's hard to tell. At least a few tainted by the Dark Side but the corruption is clouding my senses as well."

She looked back at Nara and nodded, "So going in together is the best idea, yes." Valery said in agreement. She wasn't sure if Nara was a fighter or had other skills, but all Jedi were trained to some extent in the basics of lightsaber combat, so she wasn't going to be a liability. Perhaps her skillset offered other advantages as well, which could prove useful given the fact that Valery's skills all revolved around fighting. Or well, the vast majority of them did.

"Wait, a few centuries?" she chuckled, "Seems we both have been displaced in time, then. My Jedi training started in what's now referred to as the Old Republic — over 4000 years ago." Valery continued as she began to move towards the entrance, which is also where she stopped to let her senses expand outwards again.

"Want me to take point for this?"
