OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create a tomb that the Wukong use to train their padawans and test their skills.
  • Canon: N/A

SETTING INFORMATION
  • Structure Name: Tomb of the Outcast
  • Classification: Tomb
  • Location: Atrisia codex Atrisia wookiee
  • Affiliation: Atrisian Commonwealth
  • Accessibility: Easy to reach from the Agora temple along its path. The tomb itself requires small efforts to open to begin the trial.
  • Description: The pathway to the tomb is shorter then the rest. running through the canopy of the trees to reach a created pool. The branches massive and hollowed out to created tunnels that go up and wrap around the mountain creating channels. The waterways lined with hydrostatic spheres of oxygen but the training given for the tomb is in breath control to hold your breath for longer periods of time.
  • The twisting pathways of the roots lead into the central chamber with two sections. A gated exterior ring and the central platform with two crescents around it. The main exterior ring is lined with spinning blades and padded chompers able to push around the ones who misstep but won't kill or really harm them. Two murals are set up in alcoves that rquire dodging the blades and keen eyesight to see them along the ring.
  • The ending of the inner ring gives way to a chute that climbs downward onto the lowest level of the platform. The leveled crescents for the pathways to either side of it and the rotating blades going up and down in the path of the jump making timing and speed an important factor. At the end of the chute before entering the main trail area the third mural can be found with a small riser to jump back up to the platform.
  • The platform itself is daunting... a vertical shaft with four levels to it. The upper most connecting to the main vault and purpose for the trail. The lower one circular with an interior shaft adorned with cranes and dragon statues. The main switch to activate the trial is there as th interior of the ring will rise up ejecting blades and bars to dodge.
  • The first part of the trial is scaling the central platform to the first crescent of the ring where a second switch is at the end of it to rise it up higher. The spinning blades designed to cover the interior of the tunnel it is in and make speed as well as timing a factor to not get to far behind. The blades start spinning and the small covering with the switch open up for several minutes just a little longer then running at full speed without mistakes would take.
  • Then it is back to scaling the central platform as more blades and bars coming out and move faster with it continuing to rise up. The third level is where it starts to increase in the speed and the final mural is at the end of the blades and bars. The timing on the switch is also faster with a small margin for error.
  • The final piece of the mural is there after the last switch is pushed, revealed on the base of the central platform and has almost a grinder level of spinning blades but there is a small area close to the platform to stand on and look at the mural. Then it is all the way back up the column to reach the last platform.
  • The final platform lead to the switch to reset it all and go into the vault. The jade comb being the main prize to gather by the apprentices training in the trials. From there it exits into a gravity chute that deposits through a one sided hardlight mage at the entrance of the tomb letting them swim back out.
POINTS OF INTEREST
Treasure Chamber: Found at the end and containing the a jade comb the tombs trials are much less expansive as it mostly encircles and goes around a chamber within the mountain itself.

Murals: Restored depicting the tale of the outcast and what happened to her.

SECURITY
Low
Like the other tombs there is not much protection in general the parts of the trial are designed with a safety in mind and aside from the narrow entrances it is general just theatrical effect making it appear dangerous.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Myeongseong the Plum Wine Empress once sought to expand the modernization of Atrisia, roads, hospitals and many more things to bring to the villages all of the modern amenities of the cities. Deep in one of the smaller isolated town a woman from Hakimora one of the lands to the north with its dark haired women and towers of the undead. Normally her people would be nomadic but she had fallen in love with the village and its people so much so that she stayed there longer then she should have.

She knew the names of every everyone in the village, she watched and played with the children, harvested crops and was invited to dinners. With the empresses idea finally reaching them and news that the old ways were changing, new ideas were coming... new technologies and older superstitions were being put aside. She believed that she could reveal herself to them, her abilities with what one had said was the life force of the universe had caused her to be cast out in other villages including her own.

She decided to tell them her secret... it was well known only the priestesses of Sarnoi... then he rejected her and wit him the village. That night they came and tore down her home with blade and rocks... chasing her away from the village. On her way out all that she was able to retrieve was a pearl comb she had received from one of the villages. He was there trowing stones to chase her away just like the others she had when she was younger.

She was alone in the forests and still they came, combing the hills and mountains... going through the forests and chasing her to the shore of a small lake. There she hid in a cave for several days until they gave up and returned to their homes. She guessed that they had thought she was dead and bruised, fearful she walked into the mountains wandering with her only possession until she came to a temple of the goddess Jeidushi. There she was taken in for shelter.

She didn't return instead becoming a priestess in the temple of the goddess of love on the world. There she preformed the rituals and spread out into the world finding a band who were traveling through the forest. She recognized one of them, older with wrinkles and what looked like children. They were from the village she had been chased out of and even after so many years of finding peace she felt a rage bubble to the surface. In the night she killed each of them.

In the morning the man was the only one left and seeing the comb he realized who she was... While he was angry he told her that vengeance would only begets more vengeance. He said he was sorry and in her shame she fled again... into the mountains and into another cave where she stayed in the mountain range of five fingers. Like a large hand it extended up into the air reaching towards the sky and beyond with the planet.

When the Wukong came to the tomb and began to restore it. Cleaning the murals and replacing the obsidian blades with a more training oriented blade but keeping the challenges it was a point to let the tale be told so one could see the cost of anger and vengeance. How it could always be there and fester like a poison. A lesson to be had and the physical aspects of the trial for running through the courses, swimming taught important lessons to the younger force users.
