OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
 • Intent: I am making this unit's file as to properly represent the Tol Varen's forces and have something to reference in potential combat.

 • Links: N/A

GENERAL INFORMATION
 • Unit Name: The Shield
 • Affiliation: Tol Varen/The Matador/Mandalorians
 • Classification: Recon(The Fist)/Guards(The Spine)/Infantry(The Might) (In this order from left to right)
RECON/THE FIST:
The Recon units within the Shield are the first line of defence for Tol Varen. Thusly, within combat they are extremely quick on their feet and adaptable to most situations, capable of dealing within any offensive measure against the clan before it even reaches their homestead. They primarily use duel broadswords, however may exchange the second for shortsword for versatility. Outside of combat, they serve as the watchers beyond the outskirts of the Clan's homestead, keeping a watchful eye for intruders. Only the most skilled of Shield Brothers become The Fist of Tol Varen. This group is lead primarily by the Iron Will.

GUARDS/THE SPINE:
Spine Units serve as the most brutal and efficient killers amongst the Shield, the last line of defence in Tol Varen. However, they also serve as protectors and escorts for important members of the community such as The Matador, Keeper or Blade. Within combat, their only aim is to kill quickly and efficiently. They use two large axes for optimal damage, however sometimes exchange one for a mace. The Spine is primarily lead by the Ox.

INFANTRY/THE MIGHT:
The Might of The Shield serve as the main line of defence against any enemies of Tol Varen, these warriors are the greatest of numbers among the Shield, serving as loyal, efficient warriors that defend their homeland. However, whilst these soldiers are the most simplistic they are tactically the most complex and versatile, being able to form shield walls or several other defensive/offensive tactics. Outside of combat, the Might serve as the law enforcers of Tol Varen. This group is lead by the Blade who also oversee's all of the Shield's training.
 • Equipment:
 • Beskar Metal Weaponry: Axes, Broad Swords, Arming Swords, Maces, Shorts words,
 • Thick Leather/Durasteel padded clothing.
 • Recon Shield Brothers wear small plates of Beskar under their hide armour.

COMBAT INFORMATION
 • Availability: Rare: 300-400 Warriors in total.
 • Deployment: Limited: 5-10 outside of Tol Varen, However at full force within Tol Varen.
 • Strengths & Weaknesses:
+ Force Sensitive: The Shield is a band of force sensitive Mandolorian warriors sworn to absolute loyalty to a strict code of mental and physical peak conditioning. Furthermore, only force sensitive candidates can survive their trials. The Shield studies focus heavily on techniques such as Force Body and Precognition.

+Durable: Life, as part of a technologically inept group isolated in the depths of the Duxn jungle has meant that those who survive to grow to full adulthood are sturdy, with hearty constitution and able to take more punishment than most.

+Skill: The Shield are a highly well trained group, regardless of their lack of blasters their raw tenacity and blood-thirst makes their efficiency in close quarters near unrivalled.

- Technologically inferior: As a secluded group, The Shield are by far technologically inferior to their Mandolorian brethren and the majority of others within the known Galaxy.

- Dogmatic: They have an undying loyalty to the leader of the Tol Varen above all, furthermore their strict code has lead to much desertion and eventual mutinies however all of which were easily crushed by The Matador.

- Small Numbers: The Shield is nothing more than a militia, no army. When faced with a much larger force, their defeat would be ensured.

-/+CQC: Whilst nearly unrivalled in close quarters combat, they have limited long range capabilities. A distant target would make short work of a Shield Brother.
 • Description:
Force Ability Level: Adepts/Apprentice (Varies)
Exceptions: The Blade, Iron Will and Ox: Knight

Powers:
Force Body
Battle Precognition
Telepathy
Telekinesis (Pull and Push)

Combat Utility: Infantry Destroyers/Ambushers/CQC Masters.
HISTORY & FUNCTIONALITY:
The Shield began when Tol Varen was separated on the moon of Duxn from the rest of Mandolorian kind. It was of their own choice, self exiled from the stagnant Mandolorian empire. For decades the Shield have been refining themselves into the ultimate, brutal killing machines that they possibly could be. They serve as the day to day protectors of the Tol Varen.

TRAINING:
From a young age, a member of The Shield is selected by the village elder. From the age of five onward, they are fought, beaten and starved daily. Their bodies and minds are trained to the peak of each's individual discipline, and as their power grows so does their mind. They are taught the tactics and culture of ancient Mandolorians and instructed to follow a strict code of honor and loyalty. They may sire children, but their lives are sworn to the upholding of the Tol Varen and it's continued prosperity.

The Shield are trained from their youngest teen years in groups of six, only three survive the trials and become Blood Brethren, a sacred pact between the closest of Shield Brothers. Blood Brethren are trained to kill in unison, and fight with unparalleled team work. However, all Shield Brothers share a telepathic bond; allowing them to communicate via their force sensitivity to battle more cohesively.

Limited use CQB units. Beskar-made, archaically designed weapons and Force sensitivity. Everything looks good to me, as well as the understanding that no NPC force sensitive will rival that of PCs.

Just give me one more thing. You've noted three variants, those being Recon, Guards, and Infantry. For detail's sake, would you mind describing their roles and duties in combat and non-combat functions? Once you've done that, I see no reason not to approve this.

Approved

I lied. I only caught something after-the-fact.

3-400 knight level NPC commandos is a no-go.

I'm willing to allow a desginated named NPC that holds some form of leadership over each section stand at Knight level, but the rest will have to be at Apprentice rank.

Please tag me when you've made the necessary edits.

Made changes under classifications; designated leader NPC's for each group.
Under their force abilities, make the distinction of their force level being apprentice/adept.
Make the clear exceptions being the three leaders.
