Average height of adults: 3 meters.

Skin Colors: Forest Green, Brown, Albino.

Hair Color: N/A.

Strengths:
FORCE SENSITIVE: The Toirton have a rather unique affinity within The Force, able to sense and feel the ebb and flow of The Force around them more potently than others.

STAMINA: The Toirton have an exceptional ability to traverse great distances without tiring.

Weaknesses:
LACK OF SPEED: The Toirton are large and slow, not able to move quickly towards or away from danger.

PACIFISTS: The Toirton are gentle giants, and due to their cultural and spiritual beliefs do not believe in violence.

Distinctions: The Toirton are titan-like reptilian humanoids who are unique in the sense that they have a massive carapace-shell that they are born with that is fused with the vertebrae of the spine, and the ribcage. When the Toirton age and gradually grow, so too does their shell along with them usually forming distinct fin-ridges as a sign of age. Wizened Toirton also develop paler skin tones as they grow older eventually becoming albino, which is regarded as a sign of great wisdom and knowledge within the Toirton. The Toirton have ridges of bone that form under the skin around the eye sockets, and small nostril holes along their beaks. The Toirton have three toes, and three fingers on each arm and leg.

Average Lifespan: 600 years.

Estimated Population: The Toirton are not as commonly seen as they once were throughout the majority of the galaxy due to terrible events that unfolded between the years 838 and 844 ABY, where thousands of Toirton lost their lives in search of The Force. They are migratory and frequent worlds where The Force thrives naturally; Pop. 5,000.

Diet: Being Herbivores the Toirton's digestive system cannot process meat, and it would poison and harm their body as a whole. They live off of edible plants, fruits, and vegetables.

Communication: The Toirton have their own language, Toirtonese, which uses deep guttural sounds and hand gestures to express the potency of certain words and/or emotions.

Culture: The Toirton as a whole are a migratory monastic group who travel to worlds where The Force is strong to experience tranquility, and inner peace through The Force. The Toirton have a saying, "Be at ease in one's own shell." which is a reflection of their culture itself, and their way of life. They live as introverted, family units comprised of up to 100-500 Toirton called "Spirit-Groups" who are lead by a spiritual leader known as a "Spirit Sage" who is the most venerable of the group, and the most in-tune with the energies of The Force around them. The Toirton are a very spiritual, and peaceful people who can be found meditating and going on great pilgrimages with their large family groups to powerful, and sacred places where The Force is felt the most. The Toirton have great respect for The Force, and see it as a privilege and an honor to be able to wield it so naturally; Using The Force to heal and mend, rather than maim and destroy. Toirton life is a day-to-day spiritual journey that focuses on self-awareness, inner peace, and harmony through a serene balance of emotional stability and control.

Religion: The Toirton believe that The Force is a great spiritual energy that is both a conduit to the past, and a gateway to one's future. They live by a spiritual code that they believe is the key to enlightenment through The Force; "Be at ease in one's own shell, for The Force will eventually free you of it.". Spirit-Groups are lead to powerful energies of The Force throughout the galaxy by a Spirit-Sage who guides his Spirit-Group with his affinity of The Force as a compass to their next destination where they will meditate and reflect upon The Force around them.

Special Ceremonies: Once a year the Toirton people feel a great pull to meet on their homeworld of Ithor for the "Festival of Spirits" where they all join hands for three days, and become one with The Force as a group to commune with their ancestors in a sacred ritual; creating a temporary Force Nexus.

Technology level: Semi-primitive, they have technology in their possession and the means to acquire it. However they would rather The Force be used in its stead.

General Behavior: Toirton are gentle giants and they are peaceful, calm creatures who wouldn't resort to violence. Toirtons spend a large amount of their life in meditation, a way to self reflect and find peace through The Force. Toirtons often lift objects with The Force when they are not in meditation, finding it as a more physical alternative to meditation; However this is considered rare as they are an introverted people. Toirton behave much differently around other Force Sensitives easily sensing The Force that lives within them, and the Toirton will attempt to meditate with that individual to better understand them on a more advanced level using The Force.

History: The Toirton come from the lush planet of Ithor, and they developed and lived peacefully side-by-side with the Ithorians for ages until representatives of the Jedi Order came and changed them forever; The Jedi delegation sensed the Toirtons affinity with The Force and opened their eyes to the world around them, and this lead the Toirton on a spiritual journey. The Force was then apart of everyday life for a Toirton, it was more than a passion; it was an awakening of true purpose. The Toirtons then began to migrate off-world, leaving their beloved Ithor behind, until discovering Kashyyyk and later Felucia having distinctly profound experiences on both worlds which also helped shape their culture and ultimately their lifestyles. The Toirtons continued to live in seclusion and constantly seek to understand The Force and to learn more of themselves, and the world around them until much later on in Toirton history when a plethora of other worlds that the Toirton had not yet felt in The Force called to them due to cataclysmic events that effected the galaxy itself. This event was during the years of 830-850 ABY which is known to the Toirton as the "Journey of Spirits" where the Toirton as a race journeyed together, lead by the collective Spirt-Sages to many worlds where The Force had drastically changed in its potency. During this time when the Toirton journeyed as one; they accidentally created a mobile Force Nexus due to the sheer number of Force Sensitives in one vicinity, and when they reached a world where The Force was strong, they inadvertently amplified the effects of The Force causing them to become stronger in The Force as a whole; Their midichlorian counts increased, increasing their awareness of Force Energy around them which is what causes them to feel the pulls of The Force more strongly. Their travels eventually returned them to their homeworld of Ithor where they joined hands, and meditated for three days in a grand ceremony of communion; which was then named the "Festival of Spirits", after which the Toirton split up once more to follow their respective Spirit-Sages across the galaxy to places new and old where The Force was felt the most.

Notable Playable Characters: (I will be making one as soon as this gets approved)

Intent: I would love for the Toirtons to be a sort of monastic, migratory species that has the intent on learning more about The Force; almost like Force Monks in a way. I took influences from several different sources to compile all of this together. I would love to add more and more because the idea really flourished after a few brainstorms.

This isn't really an edit requirement but I figured you might want these to match up.

I assume this is for each limb?

I believe you meant maim :)

You are missing the following sections:
Hair color: [List common hair colors, if any]
Races: [Not subspecies, distinct cultural or physical races (aka, just like human races).]

Please include these in your submission and just mark them as "N/a" if they are not applicable to the species.

As for the meat of the your submissions, I really enjoyed the concept of this. Gentle giants, as it were. I just have one question and with it answered and the above edits, we should be able to move this right along:
-This species is connected strongly to the force, as you have mentioned. In our timeline, we have an event called the netherworld. Once you have read over that link, take some time out to consider how this impacted not only the species and their powers, but also their voyage home. Particularly in reference to the spirit-groups and the spirit sages.

Tag me when you have made edits and are ready for this to be reviewed once more.

"Their midichlorian counts increased, increasing their awareness of Force Energy around them which is what causes them to feel the pulls of The Force more strongly."

So the netherworld was more or less temporary in its effect on the force, but you are looking to have that be the cause the species increased sensitivity to the force?

Yes! Due to the overwhelming amounts of Force Energy that rippled throughout the galaxy during this time, it could be possible that their midichlorian counts could have multiplied to a degree within their bodies. They could already feel The Force in a way, but due to the events of Netherworld this ability became enhanced and allowed them to sense The Force more strongly.

Cool. I like that actually, you've managed to fairly seamlessly tie a component of the species to a significant chaos event. Again, this is all relative and at the end of the day, how a species performs in combat is dependent upon the writing. Assuming they ever manage to fight which given the weakness of pacifism, I guess it would have to be a fairly solid reason.

Approved pending secondary.
