To The Vahn, To The Stars, To the O [Jedi Mission]

The blasters pointed at them would begin firing soon, he knew, and these Padawans wouldn't be able to get out of it on their own. Josh had a plan though, and would smirk faintly, motioning for the Padawans to move toward him, standing back to back to back the three of them, keeping an eye on the whole party of bandits. Josh would take a breath, before whispering back toward his Padawans.

"On my mark, Force Jump upwards, kick off one another's feet, flip back and land behind them... And then start swinging your training sabers. We can overcome numbers with surprise."

"3.... 2..... 1...."

Dusaro stepped slowly back as motioned to by Josh, keeping his blade level and his eyes very focused on the enemy in front of them. This was gonna be a sticky one and he only hoped their master had a good plan in mind. And as it turns out, he did. Dusaro didn't make any motion that he was hearing anything besides a short nod after Josh had finished explaining the plan, raising a foot in preperation to jump off of Douglas's feet.

This had to be one of the crazier ideas Joshua had come up with. Dusaro did not exactly have much room to talk however and he certainly did not have any ideas.

The kick off went well enough, Dusaro on his end managed to pull of the jump and landing behind the enemy well enough. His landing was a bit unstable from the mid air turn, but the suprise the manuver offerd made up for it as Dusaro went forward with wide, hard swings against the thugs infront of him, moving through as quickly as he could to disable as many as possible even if it left him open.

Doug had also stepped back as ordered by thy mighty blonde Jedi Master as well, holding his own blade up in front of him and keeping an eye out. It turns out that he had an unusual plan that revolved around using the Force to jump in the air, then proceed to kick off of each other to surprise the foes from behind. It was definitely a creative idea and they did not exactly have any other options to work with.

Doug slowly nodded and listened as Josh counted down. Once the countdown was over with, Doug used to force to propel himself into the air with a big jump, then using his feet to kick off of Dusaro's to get behind the enemy, doing an awkward flip in the air to turn around. He had managed to land behind the enemy without much issue, then he proceeded to charge in to disable another small group of the thugs, keeping an eye out to make sure none of them would get him by surprise.

The three had leaped into the air, the Force aiding them. The trick was to use Force Jump once again just as their feet kicked off one another, and the three would press their feet to that of their fellow Jedi and...
"NOW!"

Three individual Force Pushes would send the three flying through the air, splitting up just in time for the blaster fire to start. With their moves of course, it allowed them to most likely dodge a good portion of the blaster fire at least, and Josh would immediately activate his lightsaber and land at the tail end of a good deal of the crowd. Being confused by the three Jedi splitting up and flying off in different directions, the group was disorganized and befuddled for a moment, and Josh knew that was the moment to strike as he would immediately draw his lightsaber, the blue blade letting out a "hummmmm" as he would immediately go on the attack, slashing through the side of one of the thugs, and immediately going on the attack for the others, with the numbers of them firing at him slowly increasing. But slowly meant he had time to maneuver, time to take them out as quickly as possible. Josh would use the chance to use the Force to disarm one of the bandits, sending the blaster flying into the head of one of the others. He would toss his lightsaber, the Force maneuvering it as it spun around, cutting through both of the thugs and Josh would leap up in time to dodge blaster fire as he would catch the saber, before bringing it down in a downward motion on the shoulder of the next thug.

Another would try to shoot from behind, but Josh would loose a torrent of Electric Judgement from his free hand. The thug would let out a scream as the lightning would hit, and Josh would charge forward, still firing lightning before slashing through the man's side, releasing the move when he fell.

His attacks had been non-lethal, disabling. These guys would be hurting awhile, but they weren't dead. Just out of the way.

Dusaro with the training blade was having an intresting time of it. He was not able to be lethal even if he wanted to, short of taking the blade and stabbing it into someones eye. What he was able to do was disable. The first two found themselves disarmed from the first sweeping blow, followed by hard hits to their heads. He had charged forward as he felt a sense of danger, a thug just a bit back and to the side starting to take aim. Dusaro's head snapped to look at the man, reactivly using the force like he would if he were disarming the man bare handed. His free left hand formed a open palm and slammed up, followed in tandem by a telekentic burst of upwards force against the mans blaster.

The weapon brilliantly arced up above the man as Dusaro for now returned his attention to the thug in front of him, the fourth on 'his side'. The man fired a shot in fear that Dusaro just managed to deflect, following the deflection up with a quick hard slash at the mans hand. It was a good thing he did too as the second shot was fired a mere split second after Dusaro's blade hit the mands hand, the bolt cutting through his shoulder and hitting the building behind him.

After that, he inspected to see how the other three were doing and where he was needed, if the situation was not taken care of already.

The convenience of the training blade that Doug was equipped with was that it was not nearly as potentially lethal as an actual lightsaber so he did not necessarily need to use as much finesse to make sure the foes were disabled rather than killed. Of course, not trying to stab through them was still a priority. The unusual maneuver that the gang employed had appeared to work out as the group of thugs had been left disorientated and confused, which had let Doug move around disabling them.

He was getting a familiar feeling of everything appearing to be moving slower around him, one of the initial signs of the Force being with him that has allowed him to be more precise with his movements on a few occasions. He saw about four of the thugs preparing to fire and with a quick horizontal slash, he had cut their blasters in half and then he held his left hand forward. He seemed to strain for a moment, but then he managed to pull off a Force Push, sending the thugs flying away a short distance into a wall. The wall did not sustain much damage, but the thugs appeared to be incapacitated from the impact regardless.

Doug took a few deep breaths and another thug prepared to fire at him. Doug quickly turned to see him and rolled forward as a blaster shot fired out, zooming over him. He then slashed as the thug's side and the man shrieked before collapsing onto the floor unconscious. Non-lethal and disabling... He proceeded to look around to see if most of the thugs were taken care of for now.

Not to mention Doug's inexperience with the blades meant he wouldn't accidentally cut his own head off if he messed up. The three would fight back, taking on the odds being against them through the numbers game. Through a mix of planning, the element of surprise, and divide and conquer, they were able to hold their ground despite overwhelming odds. In the end, they had disabled their opposition, not killed. Josh would deactivate his lightsaber and scan the area.

"Are you guys alright?" He would ask the Padawans as he would look around, just making sure there weren't anymore... At least, until a voice would ring out.

"Well, it looks like we found who's been causing trouble..."

After then men were all seemingly downed, Dusaro kept up his guard, closely surverying the surroundings. He didn't like suprises and while he doubted any of the men were in any condition to stand, being cautious was second nature. After feeling content no one was going to either keep moving or come out from a house he turned off his lightsaber. At about the same time, he heard a male voice and turned in its direction.

"I believe we were ceasing trouble rather then causing it." He said as he faced the voice.

Doug had continued holding his training lightsaber close to him even though things seemed to calm down. He thought maybe someone else would try and attack him. Sure enough, when things did seem to be done with, a voice echoed out from the shadows. Doug looked around to find the source of the voice. The others had also noticed it as indicated by Dusaro's quip towards it.

"Wuh...? Who's there?" Doug questioned, maintaining a battle ready stance in case of a possible surprise attack.

"I was wondering just who was causing trouble for my boys. It's clear that we now have our answer. I'll make sure that you don't meedle again."

"Don't you mean meddle-"

Josh's retort would be stopped as the rat-face looking man would come into view, flanked by about six men, who wore a different garb from the others. Almost as though they were an elite guard. "You see boys, we here don't take kindly to your... Well, kind. We own this village, hell! We own this PLANET! And you're just going to come here and take it from us? What're you, some kinda thieves?"

Josh just stared at them for a minute, unable to comprehend the level of stupid that just came out of his mouth.

Josh would just back up and pat his Padawans on the back. "Don't bother debating with them, just... Take them out. I'll back you up if it gets dicey. That means you too, Padawan Vahn. Get in there!"

Theif. Dusaro had been called, well, many colorful things by these kinds of people. Theif was a new one. 'Dusaro Dresari, Theif of Planets'. He was conflicted about that one. After the pat on the back from Joshua, he came to the same conclusion. Thinking about it was not, by any means, worth it.

"Aye. Agreed." Dusaro said simply, looking to the guards while holding up his ignited saber. He gauged their strength for a moment before going forward. "I will take front and center" Dusaro said to them shortly as he strode forward into the coming fight. Out of the three of them currently here, he most certainly had the most combat experince. He didn't want either of them taking the main first focus of the fight, so he took that upon himself and went forward aggressivly against the enemy.

Doug glanced to the sides as the not-so-pleasant face had begun to speak to the group in a rather... Simple fashion to put it nicely in his own mind. He could almost feel a groan escaping from his mouth after he and the gang were called thieves. He had to make do with certain things to get by in the past, but theft certainly was not one of them. It obviously did not ring true in the slightest given that the fiends were themselves the actual thieves, but seemed to be completely oblivious to that fact.

After a pat on the back and some words from thy mighty master Josh, the next objective was in mind. No point in really talking, just get to work so they can progress further. It was a correct sentiment after all. What good would talking do here? Anyway, Dusaro had taken a headstart to lead the little charge. Doug stepped forward a little behind him with a nod, still holding his blade in a slightly defensive manner. "I've got ya back, man." He simply said in response to Dusaro's statement. It was a matter of how this exchange would go down now...

It appeared [member="Anora Vahn"] still had decided not to participate. He supposed if she had cold feet, they'd just have to work on that later, so instead he would decide to step in, in order to even up the numbers and give [member="Douglas Starwind"] and [member="Dusaro Dresari"] a fighting chance. This wouldn't help their training at all if they were dead, after all, and this had turned out to be far more dangerous then he had intended it to be.

"I'll take Anora's place then. I'm going to let you two lead the charge, I'll back you up. This will be a test of tactics for you two. I hope you can use it well. Your lives very well depend on it here" He would advise as he would draw his saber and take stance a little ways behind the two. This was still a test for them, but he wasn't going to let them be killed on their first mission either.

Dusaro's plan had been rather simple when he went forward. That being to catch their attention and let them at first focus on him. The group proved to be more restrained then that it seemed as the two in front both went forward, one pulling out a vibroswords and the other a disruptor pistol. He could live with a vibroswords hit but a disruptor, that was several scales worse. Even though the deadly close range weapon came in to play, Dus didn't get the chance to worry about him yet as the man with the vibrosword blocked his view before he could act.

The sword came in with a fast cut at Dusaro who shifted his weight up as his saber met the blade and flicked it up and tossed back the sword with a strong stroke. There was only one issue, Dus moved his blade too much for his wind up after the parry. That cost him what might have been a quick disarm as he flicked the saber and brought it crashing down in a swift stroke at the mans wrist, Dus's blade getting caught by the crossguard just barely in time. It was an opening that proved nearly fatal as the second man came around with the pistol, Dusaro spotting the man moving and quickly shifting his feet as the pale yellow beam appeared for just a moment where his chest had just been, leaving behind the smell of 'burned' air and cooking capacitors as the weapon recharged and the opponent who Dus was dealing with pushed forward.

Things had a bad way of getting complicated today.

[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"] [member="Douglas Starwind"]

Doug had watched after Dusaro and observed the quick exchange that ensured with the charge he was leading. He didn't really have time to react when Dusaro had began to fight with one of the goons using a vibrosword. Another one of them was packing some sort of pistol weapon and Dusaro had barely managed to avoid being hit by it as it shot out a short-ranged beam that seemed to vaporize the air and creating a strangely burnt smell despite not actually hitting anything or anyone.

Doug winced slightly as it looked like that beam would have hurt A LOT if it actually hit. He knew he had to help Dusaro out with the guy packing this pistol so he could focus on his combat with the man using the vibrosword. The pistol seemed like it was recharging after that moment, so Doug figured he should take this chance to push forward himself. He quickly dashed in and sliced upward to knock the pistol out of the other man's hand. Afterwards, he proceeded to hold his hand forward and, after a brief pause, managed to unleash a Force Push to knock him away, which would take care of the situation with the pistol. If necessary, he would move in to help Dusaro out with the vibrosword guy.

Things were indeed getting complicated, but this kooky gang were in this together after all.

"Kill them! Kill them all!"

That command signified that the battle had begun. Josh would let Dusaro and Doug fight together as a unit. They would be able to learn to work with him personally in missions alongside just him in future... For now, it was better that the two learned to work with their fellow Padawans and forge their bonds in battle. Josh hung back, deflecting blaster bolts as he went on, watching his Padawans carefully. Of course, should he be attacked himself, then he would fight.

That moment would come when one of them tried to sneak up on him from behind. Sensing their presence, he would immediately turn and with a quick motion slash through their side and downing them. Josh would then turn, and take hold of one of the men using the Force's telekinetic-like abilities, slamming them into several of their comrades and leaving them to be easy pickings for the two Padawans...

There were still a handful of them left though...

The sudden movements of Doug coming up from behind him was a good sign, and Douglas dealing with the disruptor thug was even better. Dus made a mental reminder to show Doug after the fight just exactly what a disruptor was capable of in case he didn't know. The man when Doug charged forward past Dusaro and the man Dus was locked in combat with tried to back up in suprise, but the blade caught the weapon. Being a training blade it did not destroy it, but it did knock it ouf ot his single hand hold into the air and off into the ditch. The man loosing his balance as be backpedaled and started to draw out a holdout blaster. The followup force push knocked him into the ground, delaying his movement to fire a shot off at Douglas and giving him an opening.

Dusaro meanwhile grinned as the man fell down, the vibroblade man pushing forward with a quick shout. He wanted to finish off Dusaro and deal with the enemy behind him. Dusaro let himself get push back, taking two quick back steps as the opponent gracefully brought his blade up, then down. Dusaro had followed his movements though, his echanit instincts kicking in and he stood his ground, his right hand letting go of his training saber. As the strike started to come down, he made an open palm strike at the pommel of the man's sword, his cybernetic palm not giving an inch as the durasteel creaked from the blow, before knocking the weapon out of the man's two-handed grip. With the man off balance, Dusaro tightend his grip into a fist and brought the back of his hand hard into the side of the mans skull, right into the temple and toppling him to the ground. A nasty concussion, though Dusaro was well practiced enough to keep it from being fatal as the man slumped to the pavement below, Dusaro turning to survey the remamning opponents who just got knocked off their feet by what might be best descrived as a 'petulant' bout of telekenisis. Dusaro was not paticularly skilled with the force, so such a sight was rather impressive to him.

Not letting the amazement of the moment take him over however, Dusaro quickly went to the group of toppled men to 'get to town' before they themselves got up.

[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"] [member="Douglas Starwind"]

Doug had watched as a sight of more combat occurred in front of him in a rather quick instance. Dusaro had actually went and... PUNCHED one of the goons in the side of the head and it looked like it hurt. Josh, meanwhile, had utilized the Force to knock down another set of goons without very much effort it would seem. He was the master after all. It seemed like the trio were cleaning house without very much issue. It was quite an impressive feat, but there was no time to be impressed at the moment.

Doug had taken the opportunity to charge at some of the men that Josh knocked over with the Force alongside Dusaro, preparing to incapacitate them so they wouldn't be an issue for the group anymore. Doug gripped his training saber and would make careful strikes at some of the men that had begun to try and get back on their feet, which caused them to collapse. The attacks were not fatal and were simply meant to knock them out. Given that he was using a training saber, such a task was likely easier than trying to do it with an actual lightsaber.

Hopefully this situation will be over with soon so they can proceed onward.

[member="Josh DragonsFlame"] [member="Dusaro Dresari"]

It was clear - no, scratch that. It was painfully obvious that things were going the way of the Jedi Master and his two Padawan learners. These men were being mowed down by the training saber wielding brigade like nothing while Josh covered them from the rear in order to make sure they weren't overwhelmed or doing anything beyond what they could handle. It was training to them, in his eyes. And he needed to make sure that it stayed just that - training.

But the leader of this gang wasn't having a good time. Seeing his men be taken out, one by one certainly wasn't his favorite part of today. Growling and gritting his teeth, he couldn't help but cry out...

"You karking failures! You're an embarrassment! All of you!" He barked as he would then immediately turn and bail, taking a few of his bodyguards with him in the process.

Josh would wait there, before motioning toward the two Padawans that the guy was getting away, as he waited for them to finish the men that he had downed for them. "You know, letting the big bad get away isn't exactly good training" He would snark with a shrug of his shoulders. He could catch him himself easily but... He was just here to assist!

[member="Douglas Starwind"] [member="Dusaro Dresari"]

This was going well, almost too well. Dusaro didn't like it when things were going too well. It made sudden and unexpected suprises turn out all the worse. He didn't know if such a thing was coming as they worked on finshing off the last few grounded guards, but he kept it in mind. He heard the rat faced man shouting as he started to run with a few of his guards following him as they fled. Dusaro quickly looked up as the man fled, his guards around him. There were still a few grounded here that would be getting up in just a moment who had to be dealt with and being flanked wasn't pretty. If it was just himself he had to worry about, he wouldn't mind. But it wasn't, there was also Douglas to keep in mind. So since he couldn't run after him this instant, Dusaro aimed to delay him.

Reaching out with his left arm he concentrated. He imagined grabbing the man's ankle through the force as the boss ran away. His open hand stayed open for a moment before quickly 'grasping' something invisible, and jerking his hand back. Dusaro didn't have the ability in the force to pull the boss all the way back to him, but he was confidant that he could atleast trip the man up as he ran away. Regardless to if he had managed to trip the man or not, Dusaro checked to see if Douglas was dealing with the still remaininder where they currently were. Seeing him dealing with the last remaining one he took off after the running and hopefully now tripped boss. "Douglas, catch up as soon as you can!" He shouted, Dusaro's training blade held in both hands at a flat angle over his shoulder as he rushed forward. It was a paticularly aggressive sword form he tended to fall in to whenever he was feeling excited, though it's practicality was questionable for a weightless blade like a lightsaber. Seemed old habits did indeed die hard.
