The Dreadnought, Staunch Avenger suddenly dropped out of hyperspace near Korbin and an unmarked transport ship embarked from its hangar, before the massive vessel jumped to lightspeed and vanished from the sector. The transport made a streamline approach toward Korbin, a planet without any known alliances nor governing defenses, but that doesn't give them freedom to hide their resources from the Sith Empire! Once descended down through the atmosphere, the Sith continued their approach under any potential radar detection, and flew towards the long abandoned mining region.

Zeptepi Zambrano, Sith Lord and General to the Empire, gazed over the intercepted encoded subspace message for the exact coordinates one last time, her data pad showing a crude hand-drawn map of sublevels, piled upon more and more sublevels, and cryptic markings yet undeciphered. Concerning what these notes might regard, her instincts did not yet peak on the matter. What intel could agree upon, is the general meaning behind the message; that there is a secret laboratory deep under ground, masquerading as an obsolete remnant of a historical facility, but in actuality is working on a secret battleship configuration, one they intend to conceal from the rest of the Galaxy, including the Sith.

Three personal Guards accompanied their Mistress on her confiscation of potential contraband. They operated as an extension of her, as she connects with them telepathically. The transport ship lowered into a nearby ravine, adequately concealed by an overgrowth of foliage. Upon trekking out across the ramp, the smell of Kyrf immediately filled her senses. She lead her men on a quickened approach under cloak, the entrance looming in the distance, dug into the base of a rock mound, supported by a camouflaged durasteel arch. Rogue sentinels stood stationed at its entrance. The Sith stormed into the first chamber, unseen.

Zeptepi halted in her steps and her guards followed suit. She looked over the vast room, allowing the presence of the Sith to be known. Their appearance should have stuck terror, and obedience, into the hearts of those conducting operations here. Instead, they reached for their weapons. Zeptepi waved a hand ever so slightly in an instant, she pumped her fist once, and the pirates within this first chamber dropped dead onto the cold stone ground.

Further into the labyrinth, the Sith would travel.

A week on Korriban was just grit under the skin, roughly six days past what any soul should tolerate. No fault lay with the world itself, not when its sands covered one of the Holy Worlds, only that the difference was far from that familiar embrace of the cockpit. Intelligence flagged a shipment ghosting along Sith supply lines, manifests left blank, credits changing hands without record. At least, that's what he'd been told. Apparently, the pattern whispered of a project meant to stay off the books.

And so, tracing that whisper fell to Corvin, far outside the usual shape his work. Groundside digging never suited those hands. But adaptability remained the entire spine of the training, and the privilege of complaint belonged to officers with chairs to lean back in.

Ingress meant slipping through a maintenance shaft drowned in sand. Rust flaked from ever surface. A thread pulled toward anomalous readings in the levels above. Without warning, another sound tore through the facility. The unmistakable sound of blaster fire. Someone else had found the place too. At least the acoustics suggested as much. Evidently, solitude here was an illusion.

Pausing mid-step, he listened as shots rang, then folded into that particular silence. Local security? Another raiding party? Sith, Republic, mercenaries.. the list of interested parties was long enough to be useless, really.

Prudence argued for patience, for letting the first arrival finish sweating through the upper chamber before introducing a second complication. Experience taught him sharing a hunting ground was only an issue if both hunters wanted the same kill.

From the shadows, footfalls resumed anyway, tilting toward the disturbance like a shark catching scent of blood in open water.

The Sith pushed forward with her militant Guards. They sifted through the items strewn about the immediate area. "Contraband," she spat. "This right at the main doors. How much more they are actually attempting to hide!"

Her lead guard called over his commlink for cargo haulers straight away. They came to investigate manufacturing practices and it has turned into a raid from the very first step.

"I want more eyes on the ground, on the lookout for absconders." She called over her commlink. "I want everyone involved in this brought in for questioning."

Of course, in order to live, people must surrender first…or at least be disarmed; a grace Zeptepi rarely bestowed personally. Certainly the next person to show their face, attempted to stop the Sith, just as he first group had. Zeptepi merely flicked her wrist again, hurling the offender to slam backwards into the stone block wall. He remained pinned, only his eyes able to move. He was quickly cuffed and led away, while Zeptepi passed on by.

There were many life forces present inside the cavernous laboratory. With the stash of contraband located so quickly, she wondered if she might discover an armory next.

She walked forward hardly tasked, blaster fire aimed at her head diverted around her through intercession of the Darkside, as if the infidels were hardly even trying. Her guardsmen took aim to stun them, and remained focused in the force as a sufficient and adept machine.
